    Question: if I'm not super into partying and drinking all the time... is wvu a bad school to go to? like I wouldn't be opposed to going out occasionally, but I'm really only concerned about academics. I really want to go here but I'm just worried that I'm not going to like it because it seems like everyone who goes there is just there for partying. I

      Not everyone is there to party. It's a work hard play hard environment. Don't go out if you have stuff to do for classes.

      No way! Don't let the party scene discourage you. I go out maybe twice a semester, you just have to find your crowd and close friends and you'll have the best time. If you are able to, I would recommend living in an honors hall, specifically Lincoln because not that many people were crazy about going out all the time when I lived there! I hope this helps :)

      agreed with what the people below said!! I go out maybe once a week but I am also 100% committed to my school and work VERY hard. Because it's such a big school there are plenty of people that don't like to party! You just gotta find your crowd :)

      Not at all! I'm exactly the same way and most of the time I always had places to go on the weekend whether it be a friend's dorm or Up All Night that WVU does on the weekends. Joining some clubs also helped which is a nice way to make new friends (:

    ok- I got into wvu and got a lot of money to go there but I visited over the summer and didnt really like how hilly the campus is, and how its separated into different areas. is this as big of a deal as I think its going to be? I feel like I want a more walkable campus but maybe its not that different?

      as far as the separated campuses go, it's really not bad. The PRT is the easiest way to get from one campus to another and it's pretty reliable. It is a very hilly, that is one of the biggest downsides to it. But most people don't mind as the good outweighs the bad and youll get a good workout every day lol

      It’s not as bad as you think! You will get used to it. All of my classes were on the downtown campus this year, I only walked up one hill and that was to my dorm.

    Better to live in Dadisman Annex or Boreman North? Not much left.

    Hey. I applied to WVU as an international student in early December. I have a GPA of 3.8 and a sat score of 1150(I only took it once). I didn't get an acceptance letter yet but I got the WVU student ID and portal and MIX email ten days ago. I also paid the academic and housing deposits and also booked a dorm in dadisman. How do I know if I'm actually accepted? Please let me know

    If you bring a car, is it useful? other than getting stuck in downtown traffic

    • @Annacondaaa13
      @Annacondaaa13  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Emily Evans for freshmen no, it’s super expensive and not worth it

    • @Riverbend1752

      I didn't bring a car and didn't feel like I needed it. All the dorms have nearby bus stops, and you can get pretty much anywhere off-campus on a bus. I don't think I've ever had more than one layover/route change to get where I'm going. The buses are free at time of service because part of the university fees you pay with your bill go to Mountain Line. By simply being enrolled, you're paying for the buses. Why pay for parking, gas, maintenance, and depreciation on top of that?

      Everyone including upperclassmen that I have talked to said “a car at WVU is a “going home” car NOT a “running around” car. It won’t be close to you, hard to get to, have to move it out of the lot on Thursday before football games (the lot is used for football tailgating). Just not worth the hassle and expense even if the parking cost isn’t outrageous compared to Pitt or other Unis.
