Met her many years ago. She is an oddly calming soul. I was ushering at a very popular show and I showed her to her seat. She smiled quietly and leaned on her hand while I answered the guests question from the row in front of hers. ‘Do celebrities come to the show?’ ‘They do, sometimes they just buy a ticket and wander in like they haven’t been in the some of the biggest and best movies of all time’
Carrie-Anne is still a Canadian girl at heart, I love that about her. Just being completely unimpressed by the artifice that is 'the business' and being humble and down to earth and really just a 'regular person' as it were. I always thought she was super cool; this interview just proves it. Great interview Rosey!
I think most of the truly great Canadian actors stay Canadian. It is too bad that there is not more investment by them, directors, producers, etc in Canada though.
Carrie-Anne seems to be such an empathetic and grounded person who has an inner confidence which makes her want to inspire others, she truly is a gift to all who know her. This was a brilliantly beautiful episode thank you 😊💖
Indeed she is, I can certainly relate to some parts of her story. It takes me back to when I was sixteen; a time of youthful innocence and unforgettable adventures. I remember one particular day when my mum handed me some money for lunch, unaware that there was only one lesson left for the day. Seizing the opportunity, my friends and I decided to head to the arcade, and what a blast we had! As the hours flew by, we found ourselves caught up in the excitement, but when it was time to return home, reality struck. We had spent all the money on games, and now, we were left without enough for the bus fare. It was quite a predicament, and none of us were keen on revealing our little escapade to our parents, who believed we were still diligently at school. In a comical twist of fate, hunger finally compelled me to make that call to my mum, seeking her assistance in getting us home. She arrived, and let me tell you, her initial anger was quite the sight to behold. Carrie's story resonated with me deeply, and I couldn't help but laugh because it felt like she had captured a snapshot of my own misadventures. The amusing part is that these experiences seemed to run in the family, as my dad had his fair share of similar escapades during his teenage years. You see, my father when he was alive was quite the smoker in teens and early thirties. One day, when he was a teenager he hopped off the bus, convinced he was near his house, only to realize that he had quite a distance left to cover. With only a couple of cigarettes remaining, he decided to spend them at a shop, unaware of the ordeal that awaited him. To his dismay, he discovered that he still had a two-hour journey ahead and was left without a penny to his name and had to walk all the way home.
SHes great but i feel like she has something really eving somewhere, or she has some snaps where you don't want to be around i don't know why i keep getting this feeling that she might snap! weird
Every 40 year old dude who saw the first one opening weekend in theaters like me has always loved her. The hottest she ever looked tho was a movie called "Red Planet" from 2000, look it up if you're a fan of hers
I was a member of the club where she first met Neo as Trinity. Brings back so many memories for me, as well as the helicopter scene, for days it was flying around my office window. I also used to work in the building where Neo's cubicle is, and my cubicle was the same.
This week’s episode is awesome. Carrie Anne gives such a calming presence. She has so many great stories and she definitely opens up. Her role on Chuck is my favorite. She has had so many great roles. Inside of you is awesome.
Loved her performance in Jessica Jones, The Matrix films and her guest spots on shows like Chuck tv series. Also can't wait to see her in the upcoming Star Wars Disney Plus series The Acolyte.
That was nice. Like really nice. The history and behind-the-scenes info on the movies we love, the actors you've worked with, and the personal passions that make for a good life was inspirational. Thank you.
Respect for getting her on your podcast. In my opinion it would be very helpful to listen more to the guest without comparing what they are saying to your own experience and listen to what they are saying like it's something new and ask questions in exploring their stories and feelings. I enjoy the guest you have on. Keep it up.
I had already watched 3 episodes of Inside Of You, stayed awake until 1am to watch Carrie-Anne Moss and I'm glad I did ❤ Wonderful person and performer 😊 A fellow Canadian 😊 I love the idea of Annapurna! I would follow her to exit the Matrix ❤ Thank you Michael for the interview!
Carrie Ann Moss is an amazing actress and person, i really appreciated her through the awesome Matrix saga 👍 A great Inside once again with the friendly Jason, thank you so much Michael 💙💖🙌🙌
I just want you to know this podcast and your talkville are truly amazing I share and talk about it with co-workers friends family strangers on the internet in person and I spread the word as much as I can these podcast have helped me so much while I'm at work and at home and while I'm doing my walking and exercising I have learned so much from this podcast and then I feel like I'm 20 years old again watching Smallville when I listen to your talk Ville podcast with you and Tom so thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything
Seeing countless characters, hang in the air, arms out, just before kicking butt, is the signature 'Trinity' move that brings immortality to the work of Ms Moss, for me. More tiger than Michelle Yeoh, by my Canadian content, and I naively thought Carrie-Anne Moss was a martial arts master, with that film, she's so good. I thought of Carrie-Anne before Michelle, in seeing Shrek, and animated green Cameron Diaz. Easily enjoy her choices on film. Old enough to have seen most. Grateful for strike content today. Way to have her locked and loaded ahead of time. Another fine actor interview, Michael.
I've so enjoyed listening to this. I have enjoyed her live-action work. So what she was saying about her career as been great to listen too. The one thing I would like to mention Is that she voices a video game character in a game series called Mass Effect and she was fantastic in that as well for voice acting. She really gave a fantastic performance and for me was one of her best. thanks for the interview to both of you. Thanks as always Michael and your team!
Love this one, I had a same situation in Jr. High were I walked up to a guy at lunch and decked him who was always making fun of me, I wasn't a fighter, but I had enough. He was in shock and didn't fight back.
CARRIE-ANNE MOSS: You're truly a class act. Brains, beauty and such a human heart. Bravo, lady. Bravo. Please tell my long ago buddy, Larry F., howdy from Dana from 'BAND OF THE HAND' (1986) D.A.
Neo: 'Trinity... help!' Trinity: 'OK, first you need to breathe, open up those pores, then I want to repeat this mantra whilst I burn some incense.' Neo: 'Operator! Help!!'
A big hit that The Hollies had was "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" and "The Air That I Breathe". Incidentally, I was named after Leigh Taylor-Young; an actress from Peyton Place, who was married to Ryan O'Neal.
Carrie and I have so much in common and can relate to parts of her life. For example, my dad will always be my dad, but he never told me he loved me or said the things a father usually says to a son since emotion was never really his thing. He never expressed that he was proud of me, and even after his death, I'm not entirely sure if he was proud. I vividly remember one time when I was seventeen; I found myself stranded at night (10pm) with no money. So, I had to convince a stranger to let me use their phone and called my father, hoping he'd come to pick me up. To my dismay, he literally told me to find my own way home before hanging up, leaving me to navigate my way back and arriving home at 2 am.
"I always looked at our business like a big fat alcoholic. Charming, great, fun, but don't rely on it." (On Acting) - Carrie-Anne Moss (Another Great Interview.)
The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. Main actors - Guy Pearce(Momento), Hugo Weaving (Matrix - Agent Smith) and Terance Stamp (Superman - Zor-el). If you enjoy their acting definitely give this movie a watch. Carrie-Anne is babe
Great interview Michael and Carrie-Anne - it's nice to get the real deal on someone instead of some press kit prefab cack. Carrie-Anne still looks gorgeous.
My favorite interview podcast by far. Feels like Michael is going to be up there with Howard Stern on interview quality, or could take over for Terry Gross one day. Wouldn't mind seeing a branch out from entertainers. How does this channel not have more subs?! Is this on purpose somehow?
Thank you for talking about fight challenge, I came to Canada when I was 13, I started school and all the girls wanted to fight me, I thought something was wrong with me.
Except all her big roles, I simply adored her as Aria T'Loak! I watched the Defenders and Iron Fist only because of her, skipping scenes until she graces my screen....
Awesome thank you Krysten Ritter👀😃with connecting Michael Rosenbaum with Carrie-Anne Moss👀🇨🇦👀😃💖❣️…., Thank you Carrie-Anne Moss for promoting the importance of loving the MUNDANE aspects of Everything and Everyone in Symphony of UNIVERSE 👀😃🇨🇦💖❣️✅

I was in her Annapurna group. I have to say, the comments about looking tired were made out of love and genuine concern. Nobody was insulting her looks, the group is very supportive. I’m honestly surprised she’s still bothered by that comment, I do remember and it was seven years ago.
You should have other Canadian actors on - get William Shatner (Montreal), Colbie Smulders (Vancouver), Keanu Reeves (Toronto), Dan Akyroyd (Ottawa), Jay Barachul (Ottawa), Will Arnett (Toronto), Michael Cera (Brampton), Hayden Christensen (Vancouver), Tommy Chong (Edmonton), and many more.

You can tell that Keanu still holds a special place in her heart. Great podcast as always Micheal!

Carrie is so smart and talented! Love how she’s helping women out!
A warmly healing conversation. Thanks SO much for having Carrie-Anne on. 🌸
Rewatching Momento now, love the pacing of the movie and Guy Pierce and Moss
IDC what anyone says its still Nolan's best movie. His early work is still his greatest stuff.
Loved her performance in Jessica Jones, The Matrix films and her guest spots on shows like Chuck tv series. Also can't wait to see her in the upcoming Star Wars Disney Plus series The Acolyte.
Kinda sad Nolan never work with her again she was perfect in Memento

So wholesome! Thank you, Michael! Love you, Carrie-Anne!
Is Carrie being interviewed in my dad’s house? Chuckled when I saw the John Deere sign. Rooting for all the writers & actors striking.
Deja vu? Is usually a glitch in the matrix.

Trinity!!!!! Thanks for another episode Rosey and everyone!!
It's interesting that the term "actress" is no longer used despite there being a "Best Actrsss" category at the Oscars.

I have a better appreciation for Carrie-Anne after this video. thank you.
Matrix Resurrections bombed completely. It's such a shame how it turned out.
It only grossed $150 million
They did her dirty in resurrections
I think Mrs. Moss was wonderful in Jessica Jones and Dare Devil by Netflix.
We need to invent time-travel purely to witness that epic showdown at high school 😁
