    Hi i came acros your channel yesterday and i realy love it. Best informative video i have seen around. Good work! I got a question i got 2 greek tortoise half a year old 6 cm tall how big of a table should i need for them? I got them in a aquarium right now but wannah get them out of there asap cause aquariums aint good for them. But i wannah get them right size. I saw you recommended 10 times the shell size and x 2 for every other tortoise. But in your video i dont think you do that right? Cause you would need waaay more space for them then. Im just curious dont wannah offend your or anything not all. I love your channel just wannah get more information wannah give them a healty happy live.
    Thanks in advance!

    at 5:27 I noticed you have a water bowl at the top there. Is that to add humidity by being heated up from something above?

    • @happytortoises
      @happytortoises  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      well spotted! Yes, I add bowls on top of their hides to help increase humidity in enclosures (located in warmer end of tortoise table, closer to a heat source)

    Do all of your eggs come from your 2 leopards? Seems like you get a lot of eggs! - Cheers from Denmark

    • @happytortoises
      @happytortoises  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello to you in Denmark! 😊 Yes, all the eggs in this video are from my 2 leopards - one of them has been laying a lot more clutches this year than in previous years! (not all the eggs will hatch though) 🐢🐢

    • @happytortoises

      I recommend having a 50:50 mix of organic top soil with playpit sand for leopards

    Dear Happytortoises Lady, how long as the baby leopard need to be in the enclosed chamber for the right humidity and temp? do they need heat up in the night? As I am planning to buy few of them here in the USA. The set up as showed in your video. many thanks.

    • @happytortoises
      @happytortoises  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am planning on keeping them in the enclosed chamber for 1 year. Yes it's very important to not let the hatchlings get cold (especially with the higher humidity), so depending where you live you may need overnight heat too. One of my humidity videos that I'm still working on, shows how I set up the closed chamber, I'm hoping the video will be finished in the next few weeks, so keep a look out for that if you're wanting to know what I did! 😊🐢

    • @pekinglad
      @pekinglad 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you very much. I will keep a look out for your new videos. I am in San Francisco of California. It's cold in the night all year around in general. The indoor humidity is about 50% to 70% in dry days. and it could reach to 80% to 90% in raining days in an unheated room in winter. Many thanks again.

    What is the name of the grass in 5:56 ?

    • @happytortoises
      @happytortoises  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The grass in the seed tray is timothy grass (I also scattered some tortoise-safe weeds in there too)
