Tilicho base camp trek has everything, awesome views of the Annapurna Range, journey through Manang, Mustang, crossing the highest pass - Thorong La Pass (5416m) and highest altitude lake in the world - Tilicho Lake (4919m).
On this trek you will be amazed at the Tibetan-style architecture, holy places (temples) and the bull-shaped 108 water spouts in Muktinath - a place holy to Buddhists and Hindus. The trail begins in the lower sub-tropical regions and drastically changes as it reaches higher altitudes where the terrain is arid and more rugged with less vegetation. Manang, for example, has a colder dry climate due to its altitude. The highlight of this trek is undoubtedly the magnificent views of the towering Annapurna Ranges and the turquoise-colored Tilicho Lake.
This 16-day journey begins after your arrival in Kathmandu at which time we will drive to Syange and then start trekking towards Dharapani via Chame and Pisang before reaching Manang. From Manang we head to Khangsar and then on to Tilicho Base Camp (4,150mm) just below Tilicho Peak (7134m). From Base Camp, we head to Tilicho Lake before returning back to Base Camp.
