"There is a time and place to challenge the beaten path, but it should not be accidental." Excellent observation and advice. Great way to summarize the lesson of learning the 'rules' of design and only breaking them when you fully understand why the rule exists to begin with.
As an assembly programmer for many architectures Ada Lovelace is one of my heroes too. Also as a long term blender user (since the 1st windows version in 1999) I am so thankful a tool like this exists for us to express our creativity. Thanks for your inspiring talk & it will be great to see what you do in the future using your talents. =D
I am confused, what she saying 18:29 to 18:39 that 'at the beginning of ......... can't recommend blender enough ... ' can anyone explain? WoW... amazed work - inspiring
The art itself isn't bad, but does anyone think this is brilliant? This is basically what any amateur concept artist's work looks like. THE MOST IMPORTANT item for her is that she has chosen aspects of composition to focus on. I just don't understand whether there is a lot of hype here, or if anyone who uses blender is met with this kind of praise at blender.
I'm glad to see more women speaking at BCON every year. Everyone has something they can bring to the conversation and it's good we actually try to include them, instead of just another year of "50 talks by European white guys"
@km099 The majority of talks in the past being given by European white guys isn't race science, dummy. It's an objective fact. Don't cry, it doesn't hurt you to point that out.

Are you trying to claim that people who hold Blendcon specifically choose "white European men"?
@@marselbarkhatov why don't you actually read the words i wrote and then you should be able to come to your own conclusion.
