My favorite video so far! Thanks for showing us the ropes (or should I say lines? 😜). I love seeing the boats, operating it, prep, sailing, heck even motoring! Haha. Ginger is a riot and my dogs when nuts watching her chatter with the BLACKBIRD!
Good Morning Guys! As l saw the leather cover on your steering wheel, l would like to warn you on the chrome trioxide poisoning issue of it. Its a possibility of all leathers imported from Asia. If you don't have a certificate, you cannot be sure on its status. Thatswhy its better using a leather imitation or a carbon fibre wheel.
Hey József! Thanks for reminding us. It fell off our radar. We are aware of that issue and replacing the cover is back on our list to do very soon. Man you have sharp eyes 👀
I'm envious at the ease that you lift that Tohatsu to hand it over to Kay , it looks bulky. What's the weight, HP, 4-stroke? I can barely lift my Honda 4.5 HP a few centimeters off the ground. Also it is nice to see "the guts" of the Blackbird, I didn't have a chance to spend time on a sailing yacht. Be careful and good luck on the Atlantic.
Hello again Mari! The outboard is about 40 lbs / 18 kg, 2 stroke, and it's a 5HP. Just heavy enough to be awkward. We should do a video on Blackbird and her guts, good idea. Thanks for the well wishes, the comment and for watching. Cheers!
@@sailingblackbird922 Oh, a 2-stroke, that explains it somewhat, though it also needs a substantial amount of strength...mine is 27 kg...and no one wants to swap...Looking forward to a full tour of Blackbird...no rush, of course, reach your final destination first and rest properly.
Great video! Very interesting. Ginger cracks me up.
Thanks Kit! Ginger says hello too!
I am looking forward to your upcoming trip west.
Hello George! We are looking forward to sailing west too! Thanks for the comment and for watching!

Thanks for the comment Ada! If you want, send us a video of your dogs going nuts and we will put it in the next video! Cheers!
Absolutely! It’s on its way!

Scary things 1) docking 2) not being at the dock.
