Probably one of my favorite HFY stories, mostly because it DOESN'T turn humans into superheroes, or aliens into incompetents. The course wasn't easy; it was flawed, and in a believable fashion!
I second this! I've been waiting for a story that didn't have excessively prideful aliens that got mad at anything the humans did even if it was benefiting the aliens
OMG, nobody would buy the book -- half the time the videos don't even make any sense 4:12 the record is 7 standard cycles 4:26 not a single student has completed it in less than 5 cycles so that means at least one student has completed it in 6 cycles, maybe even 5 -- so how is the record 7 ?

i love how the stories aren't focused on actual combat/war but on preparing for them or just life in general
