US Navy Veteran. US Navy Amphibious Forces, Little Creek, Virginia. (the Marine Corps' Navy) LST-1193, USS Fairfax County. Beirut, Lebanon, 1983. I froze at Chen's letter from home. Going to have to rewind. Those words mean so much to EVERY military member, no matter the military or branch. So much that I still have letters written to me while on deployment. If you know someone, reach out.
There will always be a reason grave enough to drag even the most isolationist people out of their reclusion. Based on the story and the description, the title is wrong. Humanity is the isolationist species. 6:24 If you're protecting developing civilizations from outside interference, why would you show a map of them?
@adiaphoros6842 ah, get what you mean. I didn't read it that way, but I understand why you did now. Thanks 👍. But I still think the title refects what the observers thought. And unfolds as them finding out they were wrong.
NICE, VERY NICE. IT JUST DOESN'T SEEM TO FIT INTO THE NARRATIVE OF HOW THE GALACTIC COUNSEL WORKS. ALMOST INCONCEIVABLE THAT THEY WOULD OFFER TO HELP WHEN NORMALLY IT'S THERE WAY OR THE HIGHWAY.

Good story 👏 😊. The prime directive, but different.
Good story!

Great story, even if a bit repetitive in the self glorification

I really liked this story. If a human had narrated it I would grade it A+, but due to the AI narration it gets only an A. Otherwise well done.
i happen to like the AI voice
I "heard" hans Zimmer softly playing in the background.

No. The title is correct. Because it is about the observers view of what they thought humans were.
@geofthompson3844 The title implies that there is another isolationist species that protects Humanity, not the other way around.

The galactic council seem to be very different entities in different stories. Look at it alternative universes.
