I couldn’t live happily in that environment. It was killing me. However, I am grateful to have a new lease on life! I’m not making candles but discovered my passion in skincare and pet care products. Your advice is awesome. You’re right - you need your story behind the brand, be willing to share it and be passionate about your product! Believe in yourself! Learn from your competitors, build a relationship with your customers and listen to their feedback. Take time to digest that feedback and I can’t stress this last point enough - reevaluate what is important in your life each year and how you see yourself and your business in 3-5 years, 10-15, 25+. Make it work for you! Don’t let the business own you - you need to stay true to yourself but be willing to change and grow. Sometimes that means different things to different business partners. Stay relevant.

How are candles considered as safe for pets and children? I have read this on some brochures but what is it that makes it safe for kids and pets? Can you please guide

I’m hoping to make my first TH-cam video in the next few months, I’m working on getting an online a bath and body business started but I keep doubting my self at every turn 🙄 I am working with a freelancer at fiverr to help me with my color palette and fonts, I feel stuck.
Some people have a very creative vision, and I’m not really one of them. 🤣 I think it’s so overwhelming to try and create the perfect colors and fonts. I doubted myself a lot during that process. I say go for it! Nothing says it can’t be changed on down the line. Let me know when you start your TH-cam channel. I’d love to follow along!
I’ve found consistency in communication through social media has contributed to the growth of my business. Releasing new products or scents periodically helps too. And creating bundles has helped increase sales. For example, I ran a special where if someone bought a wax melt warmer they got a pack of wax melts free. A lot of people seem to take advantage of specials like that.
I mainly purchase from Columbus Candle Supply and CandleScience. Columbus Candle Supply is somewhat local to me, and it's nice to be able to shop in person. Also, I love supporting other small businesses. I recently got some samples from Midwest Fragrance, and I'm pretty sure they're going to become a fast favorite!! I'm planning to burn my testers this weekend.
