@@jonmihail I can see someone buying 2 - one to play/mod and one to keep in pristine condition in case the price goes anywhere. Now to be honest I think they're making WAY too many of these ones for the value to jump like the last run, but if that's a gamble someone wants to take they can take it! I have one too so I wouldn't be upset if they became valuable :) Or maybe one white and one pink
They are selling hello kitty straps and gig bags too. And a tin of picks. The full collection could be worth something. But the lack of tone knob, selector switch or second pickup is depressing. They could have done a modern feeling piece with modern tech and that would stand up to esps Japanese inspired products. But this was just lazy.
I’m not sure lazy is the word I would use considering the updates they did make do make this a much better guitar overall than the last one. I think they could have made this a much more versatile guitar, but I don’t think that was the goal. Sure it’s limited, but I love it haha
Classic vibe, you got more features. Bone nut, and some models with denser wood body. The hello kitty is probably cheaper to make, but you get all those accessories. Definitely will hold its value better if they are limited, but it depends on what the market will be like in 5-10 years.
I had someone suggest this is actually a paranormal series which makes sense. I think it just highlights the value that the CVs are with the extra features you mentioned!
Thanks for the review. Nicely done! Considering getting one. Can you tell me if the neck has rolled edges (and if not, if the cut is sharp), if you detected any fret sprout or sharp hardware such as saddle screws or fret ends?
@ We're on the same wavelength. I bought a new player Strat a couple years ago. Nice appointments and paint, all hardware upgrades over any Squire. But i guess that's where the spend went. The finishing work was horrible. I had to file every single fret end as they were sprouted and sharp. Saddle screws would cut your palm. Sharp neck shoulder. I shouldn't have had to fix a new $600 guitar. Got a 40th anniversary Squier Strat the next year. Perfect out of the box, a great player. Night and day. The Squire was way more comfortable to play, superior fit and finish at half the price. The new player series is much better now, but also pricier. Thanks for the quick reply. I'll place my order tomorrow!
@@jonmihail oh for sure, I also do a lot of pickup switching; I wouldn't be able to bring myself to stick a neck pickup in there and break up the pick guard. I'm tempted but not sure I'm gonna get one.
Made in China > Indonesia. It's true to spec . Never liked the Indonesian guitars squier SE (made in china); full body, fender spec modern C neck,, factory fender parts can pop in no issue. squier affinity (made in indonesia); thinner, cheaper feeling, thin action C neck
Oooh paranormal would be a good bet too. I don’t have a lot of experience with the Paranormal range but the price and neck could be a match! Anything else stick out to you?
@jonmihail I mean I've had 2 of them in and the quality is tremendous, frankly in some cases I like them better than classic vibes. Also they tend to do weird pickup and routing combinations which would fit the bill. I think if you take the pickgaurd off the actual body was only routed for the one pickup and one pot. All that said, classic vibes aren't made in China which is my biggest flag.
lol wtf. You should stand up comedy, my brother. Have you guys heard this dudes jokes? Maybe you should call your daughter or mother sooner than later.
I'm super surprised how much I like the Hello Kitty reissue. I like it so much I bought a second one.
while I agree, why did you buy 2?

I think I agree. It seems they’re gonna flood the market with these new ones. Kind of a bummer but I still like it for what it is

I got the white one off the Fender site, looks awesome, better than the pictures. Missed the white strap and pedal, but theres time yet 🙂
Yeah it seems as though they are restocking them. Sweetwater is expecting more in a week or so

Neck feels amazing. Not rolled but feels much better than most mexican Fenders I have played. No fret issues at all.

Chinese made guitars are actually good. I bought a Gretsch (Fender) G5222 for 500 bucks. I stroke it all day long.
The days where you can tell the quality of an instrument based on where it was built are getting shorter and shorter
Any thoughts on not having a tone control on the guitar? I am a constant tone adjuster and I don't know if I would be happy without one.
I don’t usually adjust the tone, but I do switch back and forth between bridge and neck pickups so that’s more of a loss for me.

Mihail? Where were your parents or their parents from?
Do we know each other? I’m from Australia, relatives from Greece and Eastern Europe on my dad’s side.

Yeah I have no problem with the Chinese made squiers.
I don't think it's classic vibe cuz ciz those are all Indonesian, my bet would be it's a Paranormal line. Just a guess tho

How come Amazon has it listed as basswood
Not sure tbh. All my research says otherwise. I will say this body is SUPER resonant!
Gimmicky, but hey they are popular!
It’s actually a good guitar though!
I don’t get the hype and the irony is played out
I’m not sure I get the hype either but I think it’s a fun piece to have and this one happens to play really well 🙂
Great guitar if you’re a 12 year old girl.
Great guitar if you are into metal
I’m sure some 12 year old girls would like it. What’s your point?
lol wtf. You should stand up comedy, my brother. Have you guys heard this dudes jokes? Maybe you should call your daughter or mother sooner than later.
Does Dylan Mulvaney love this guitar more than Bud Light ? I've heard it comes with matching purse, nail polish, and tampon-dispenser too !
Honestly I’m not sure if he likes it. What’s your point in this comment? Afraid of admitting you like something pink?
@@jonmihail Well, I DO enjoy "splitting the pink, and making it stink", as grandpa used to say. Lol
Cringe, please don't post anymore
