Long time ago I looked into those they're good and all but too much electricity plus you have to buy those liners from them if it was easy as going picking it up at the store it's worth it but to me is not I rather go with a compost toilet Nature's head or airhead
Yeah, the main reasons to consider a Incinerating toilets over a composting toilet are... 1) Speed - 1 to 2 hours vs 6-9 months to get the end product... 2) Ash takes up much less space than compost and is easier to get rid of... 3) Can be used at any ambient temperature vs composting that stops working when it gets very cold... But the problem is it has negatives to consider as well... Like you mentioned, every time it's run it'll use between .8 and 2.0 kWh of energy and is also turning the waste not only into ash but carbon dioxide with some oxides of nitrogen and sulfur that in turn is vented into the atmosphere... Add multiple people using it at different times throughout the day and that can add up unless everyone can synchronize their use to reduce the number of cycles needed and refrain from activating the cycle after every single use. Though, the vent in this one should employ a platinum type catalyst, similar to that used in automobile emission systems, to control smoke and odor but some emission will still get through and the catalysts adds one more thing that will eventually need replacing and is adding cost to the system... This leads to the point that it is also a system that still has to be well maintained but the heating element won't last forever, along with other components that will eventually need servicing... We are talking up to many years but it's not a system that will work indefinitely like composting will... It also won't work during a black out or when there's insufficient power... Though, you could get the gas powered version and run it off propane but that ends up increasing the carbon footprint and can cost more in some areas, along with adding the need to maintain a supply and safety precautions when dealing with propane in an enclosed environment... Then there's the consumables, irregardless of whether you use wax paper or buy their liners that's an additional ongoing cost, on top of the initial high cost of purchasing the unit in the first place... Not to mention none of these eliminate the need for toilet paper... Of course composting has its negatives too but arguably has more positives unless you really needed something on the go that will work in any climate. Everything has its trade offs and both pros and cons... No solution is going to be perfect for all uses in all situations... So it's just as important to know a products weaknesses as well as its strengths...
@@ZeoCyberG yep I agree there is pros and cons on both of them and do remember that you're going to keep your house heated inside in winter so it's not going to affect it the compost besides that two people using Nature's head for last you about 3 months before you have to change it and the amount of continents that is inside it you can put it in a 5 gallon bucket and put the lid on and let it compost the rest of the way until it's done and you can cycle about 5 buckets a year so it's not going to be a whole lot

I don't know if you're going to do a follow-up but I have a question number one where do you purchase the liners and number two what if you live in an older building apartment how then do you use it to exhaust isn't too exhaust the fumes can I work with the old Plumbing that's already visible about me available this is not my apartment this is someone else I don't know if I can go digging extra holes and people's walls for exhaust oh and number two what if a person drops her cell phone down the toilet I know that is one of the biggest things people dropping there cell phones in the toilet but it burn up will you be able to retrieve it
This isn't 240p... i feel cheated.
WHO from the family is going to empty the basin every week?
Definitely won't work for off grid or RV's unless your running a generator all the time.
They and others make units that run off propane... which might work better for some.
$2000????! Luggable Loo for me. That's grocery money I can't spare.
I use the luggable loo on my boat but I use compactor bags and cat litter
Long time ago I looked into those they're good and all but too much electricity plus you have to buy those liners from them if it was easy as going picking it up at the store it's worth it but to me is not I rather go with a compost toilet Nature's head or airhead
TEDDY R you can just use wax paper instead of the liners
@@trekkersdaddy08 Or fold your own for half the price of the folded.
So it's just as important to know a
products weaknesses as well as its strengths...
@@ZeoCyberG Completely agree.
That’s a lot of money 💰 Not in my budget 😢
How much is it?
@william roberts - He said in the video about $2K... Not counting accessories, installation kit, and the items you'll have to keep on buying over time like the bowl liners.
It's all on their website incinolet.com
@@ZeoCyberG Thanks for the information i'm actually the president of Inconolet.
@@williamroberts3298 My ? Is why would you need to ask? Are you wanting to know what Retailer Mark Up? Secret Shopper?
They should develop a natural gas or LP version.
Mike Maki they have one that’s going through the approval process now for the US
@@trekkersdaddy08 thanks for the info, that would be perfect for off grid and motorhomes no Blackwater tank needed.
Maybe they should porcelain coat the pan so you don't have to use a liner
so where exactly do you throw the waste away
and i like water when ii do a number 2 is there a possible + bidet in one solution
it's ash so wherever and water and fires don't mix..cmon now
@@eyeswideshut2800 You mean water and electricity don't mix!
@@wownewstome6123 ..are you saying fire and water are friends, surely not.
@@eyeswideshut2800 Actually, you're right. They don't mix.
@@wownewstome6123 I would pick this option but what's the energy consumption on this thing, I just started electronics school for SHTF so i know a little about power.
Yep I am way to short for that one. Lol
what if I have a party in my hous, can people use it like every 3 minutes ?
Green?? Give me a brake, the massive amount of electricity that is used gives you a carbon foot print of godzilla
It’s on solar but thanks for your expertise
Godzilla or a small Volcano!
shit on fire
what about the smoke
w23857980 it vents outside
God forbid you guys move that fucking camera and show people the inside of it or how it hooks up in the back. For $2,000 I mean get off your ass and show some people your product obviously you don't want to sell too many
There's always an ass lurking on these sites.
So instead of waisting water in a normal toilet we now waste tons of electricity by nuking our turds... what a way forward :P
Well it was running on solar
@@trekkersdaddy08 That would be great but on the Incinolet.com site's FAQ it even states that it is "not recommended to run on solar." Probably because it uses so much electricity turning our feces into ash. Still an interesting concept though, just not very efficient for my liking.
@@TheDreamfield yes the owner of Incinolet came to see it work. It does use a bunch of power
😅
Cinderella is better. stainless looks like its made in a back yard
