I adopted a male and female bunny in 2019, and had them both spayed and neutered in mid-2020. They absolutely adored eachoter, until my female baby, Domino, passed suddenly. Panda and I miss her everyday. Seeing two bonded bunnies interact with one another is truly the most beautiful, pure thing in the entire world.
Get a replacement rabbit your rabbit will bond again it’s so much nicer for them to have a rabbit for company.I have a pair from the animal shelter which I bonded myself.
Never thought of getting rabbits cause I am a dog person. Recently had to move to an apartment where big pets arent allowed so my wife suggested to get bunnies. I wasnt excited but we got them anyways. Safe to say, I barely go out after buying 3 bunnies (1 boy and 2 girls). They are my life now ❤️
@@kifaiiii heyyy! We keep them together and free roaming bec they are social animals ❤️ They actually love being together from the time they are awake to the time they sleep, its super adorable
I have two flemish giant bunnies, one boy and one girl. They were both senior and blind in one eye, and a bonded pair their entire life. We're coming up on our 2 year anniversary with them now, they are so sweet and I love how much they love each other. Amazing animals!
My bunny was so weird, he was a male (unfixed, I was a child and my parents didn't teach me better. I know better now don't worry). He exhibited a lot of the female traits, even though I was certain he was a male (I saw his balls lmao). Especially the sassiness. He was the sassiest bunny ever I stg. If I accidentally forgot to feed him his breakfast, he was sure to let me know. If I took something away from him, he would thump. Stop petting him? Thump. Forget to fill his water? A throw of his bowl followed by a thump. Clyde had such an attitude lol. He was a mini-rex who lived to be almost 10.5 :] I miss his sassiness. Also, he never sprayed from what I noticed? But he would mark his territory in the ways normally done by a female. He was so strange lol
My hubby rescued a bunny (rocky) from our pitts mouth. We've been telling everyone it's ours now bc if the neighbors really cared, they would've put them up better. I guess our dog (lacey) somehow got to rocky through the fence. Or the tiny guy tried to find his way out. I think he's a runt, he's so small. I'm still learning btw. But the ears have already gone down, & know he's past tot age. He just so little. But my hubby's been peeping in that area & said he thought the other babies didn't make it, I guess, buried. & mommas huge. But i know when my hubby went barging through the door, all excited, it was hard for him to even spit it out to me he had a bunny. He said he thought lacey got to 1 of our guinea pigs, slash. But saw long ears & thats when it clicked. Just the way rocky was moving my automatic thought was he was a boy. Bc he wouldn't stay still & was jumpy. It was kind of funny. Bc rocky look like he was running down stairs (out of his hands) but my hubby just catching him like some pretend air steps. I said awww, I wanna hold the bunny. & then he was calm. But he was so calm & sweet, I 2nd guessed myself. Thinking he could've been a female. Anywho, its only been 2 days & he's already getting used to eating. Out of my hands too. & he really is a love bug. Bc I thought well.m, how much salt can he like up bc I dont even sweat everywhere. Not just that, but what same areas is he gonna keep "grooming" then? & 💡ong awww. He legitimately is giving me kisses. So, I kept doing it back. To the point where I was thinking he'd eventually get tired of it. & he did. But then acted like he wanted to sleep near my face. But then my hubby got him & put him back in a pin. 2 days only & I think we won him over. Vice versa 2
Male bunny, Jack- I chose him on Mother's day 2016 from a litter born on my sister's farm. He was the runt, silkiest fur behind his ears. Now he's nearly 10 lbs, enjoys life as a free roamer on our first floor. He was easily litter trained and knows his boundaries; sleeps on "his" rug in the living room. He was neutered at 7 months, as he was getting aggressive with everyone's legs, and marking. It helped him chill out in that regard, but at age 6 he still binkies about. He loves to snuggle and endlessly begs for pets on his head. Thanks for your channel, Lorelei, I've learned much over the years.
I have a boy and he's the king of the house. We found him last year hopping around on our street. Have been watching your videos since to learn more about bunnies 😊
We had our girl bunny Poppy because we also found her in the street. Found out she belonged to a neighbour who had a lot of rabbits and wasn't bothered about having her back, so we kept her and love her.
I have a boy bunny named Mobius. I used to be afraid of rabbits after being bitten badly as a kid. Mobius was born in a pet shop after his pregnant mother was surrendered to them. I decided to look at the rabbits and worked up enough courage to pet them. Most flinched away, which in turn made me flinch, but Mobius started to fall asleep as soon as I started petting him. After a while, I held my hand out to him, ready to pull away if he tried to bite me, but he just started to gently lick my hand. I immediately fell in love. I didn’t take him home that day, but I kept finding myself going there to visit him. That lasted for a few weeks until I realized that I was starting to think of him as “my bunny” and had named him “Mobius” in my head, and would’ve been heartbroken if I had gone to visit him and he was gone. So, he came home with me. It’s been almost a year since then. He acts so much like a little dog! He loves running and jumping and snuggling with me in bed. He’s totally changed how I feel about rabbits. I’m no longer afraid of them. I love them.
I have a girl! She’s the first bunny I’ve ever owned and we were given her from another family who didn’t want her anymore. She is 100% free roam (thanks to your wonderfully helpful videos that educated me! 🧡) and will always run up to greet us when we enter a room. We take your advice and lay on the floor all the time to be on her level and she will always come hang out, jump on our backs, or nuzzle up for head rubs. She absolutely adores my boys (ages 6&8) tho, and it’s so precious to see her love on them 🧡
@@aronschultz3770 they usually will do some droppings around or near their hutch/home. I think it’s a dominance thing. They are very smart and easily toilet trained. I have a boy whose 1 and a half years. His name is Thumper and is so gentle and affectionate but as he’s gotten older he has become shy. He started spraying in the first year but now he doesn’t. Although on very very odd occasions he has sprayed when he jumps on the lounge so we don’t allow him on there unless we are sitting with him. But it’s more rare as his getting older. I don’t know if you will ever completely erase this behaviour from a male. He is completely an indoor rabbit. We had a girl before him (house rabbit) for 6 years and she was much more cleaner although sometimes moody and temperamental and not as easy going as Thumper.
Interesting!I’ve found the opposite in males and females where the females are more independent and males are much more affectionate. This has been my experience with sharing my home with rabbits, fostering and volunteering at a shelter. 💜🐰
I have a male dwarf Dutch rabbit. H is about 6 yrs. Old. I have had him for 5 1/2. Yrs. He is amazing and fun and very curious. If any workmen come into the house, I have to isolate Panda or he will be all over them and under their feet. I'm afraid he might get stepped on. He is so special to us and our friends and extended family.
I have both, A white male rabbit named Wangji and a black female rabbit named Wuxian but Wangji is so introvert and calm while Wuxian is so extrovert and curious! Wangji doesn't let anyone get close to him and stays in his home mostly, while Wuxian follows me wherever I go and jumps everywhere and hugs me every time, and sometimes wangji follows Wuxian everywhere but so calmly, Wuxian is the one who jumps on wangji.. and whenever they feel tired, they hug each other and sleep✧*。
I adopted my little princess bunny right when the pandemic happened, since it was a good time for me to be home and dedicate my time to her, a month after I decided to adopt a male rabbit to keep her company and so she can also have someone to truly relate to. The bonding at first was challenging, but with constant dedication and watching a lot of videos and reading a lot of instructions on bonding, I was able to bond my rabbits in 2 days! Still can’t believe it to now. They are both free roaming, have access to the best hay 24/7, they drink a lot of water, give them a little bit of spring mix in the afternoon and some organic pellets. I give them a little snack from time to time, blueberries and bananas are their favorites. They are both very unique but love each other so much. We are all great roommates. I’ve definitely learned a lot from all these videos. Thank you! ❤️
My Male rabbit, Cocoa, hopped into my yard on Mother's day 4 years ago and never left! He is very independent but wants his attention. Took me awhile to figure out his breed which is Silver Fox. He is very special to our family. Your channel has helped us care for him and has always been educational. Thank you!😊💜✌🐇
I adopted a male and a female last month, they absolutely adore each other! I’ve been watching your vids since 2019 and having two bunnies now is like a dream come true to me! Thank you so much for sharing so much info with us
@@sobiaperez4484 It depends if they’re both spayed/neutered. Male and Female rabbits are best for bonding, but sometimes they don’t get along. I had to isolate both my rabbits (Male and Female) for a couple of weeks. Make sure they are both spayed/neutered before putting them together so they can’t have babies, if they still don’t get along I would suggest you keep them away from eachother. Rabbits are very clever, and they will send signs to the human (owner) when they are not happy. Signs are like: Running away from eachother, intense rabbit noises, fighting and avoiding eachother. But, I am no expert. If you want to know more I would suggest going to your local vet or some research.
Same! Mine are brother and sister, 8wks old now, I’ve seen the girl mounting the boy a few times, but they usually are snuggled together and do everything together The girl (short white fur w gray ears & red eyes) is smaller and gets scared easier, the boy (fluffy black fur, a lionhead mix) is more confident & bigger They’ve each got such different personalities, it’s so cute to see My daughter knew I was looking for a bunny and found some, she went to pick it up for me and the lady said we had to get both of them together Now I can’t even image if I’d only gotten one of them, they’re perfect together & really bonded I’m hoping I don’t have any issues as they get older before getting them spayed & neutered
Man, I just can't get over how much help your videos have been, Lorelei! Me & my wife have a female lionhead and a male California rabbit, the female was first, we got the male 6 months later. By then she had already pretty much gotten used to our whole small apartment being "hers" and I just wish I knew the "neutral territory introduction" thing sooner. Luckily we recently moved to a new apartment and it's been great! They had already, through a lot of ups and downs, gotten used to each other, but ever since we put them in the same room in the new apartment (on neutral territory) they have been absolutely in love and getting along SOOO well. It's amazing to look at and fills my heart with joy! All I have to say is definitely listen to the rabbit-savy people, folks! Rabbits are slightly pretentious animals, but giving them the proper care they want is worth it 10 times over and they will fill your heart with joy!
I’ve owned rabbits for a while now, and my care at the begging wasn’t very good at all, then I found you account and I’ve improved my care as much as I can! I’ve recently moved, and my rabbits couldn’t come with me, but they are living with friends now and are very happy. In august i will be getting a new rabbit, and thanks to you it’ll be living in my room with me, so thank you for teaching my how to give my rabbits the best life possible!
Pets are allowed, it’s just a very long flight and the airline i flew with doesn’t allow rabbits or any animals in the cabin, and I didn’t want to put my rabbits through the stress of spending so long in the where the pets go on planes with dogs and all the noise it would’ve just stressed them out to much, so i thought the best thing to do with them would be to give them to some friends of ours, they are very happy with their new owners and are doing very well and settled in very quickly, they moved in with them in January, and when I visited them before I left it took them a while to recognise me (they eventually did tho 😂) but I’m glad they are happy with their new owners and are having a great life! (Sorry for the long reply)
Just a note we have two "males" so so closely bonded. One is tiny, intense, curious more anxious and doesn't really like human strokes (unless eating). The other is much much more relaxed, loves pets and is also so curious and affectionate. Rabbits are like humans, they are not going to fit into the boxes!
Lol uh our bunnies were bonded by the rescue and they are very very happy. Both nurtured, and loving life. I'm not separating them after having been bonded happily for at least 3/4 years????? And male in inferred commas because they're neutured rabbits. They don't care
In my experience, my boy rabbits have always been friendlier than the girls. But like Lorelei said, females can be picky and sassy lol. It's taken more work to earn their love lol. But honestly I love both! The only real reason I prefer male rabbits to female rabbits is because their neuter is cheaper 🤷♀️
Cheaper, and I liked (as a first time bun mom) that a neuter is technically 'safer' or less risky than a spay, even with a very rabbit savvy vet. My boy is also friendly too and warms up to change and new places and noises really fast.
That explains why my rabbit Jasper likes me more then he'll let me pick him up and follow me everywhere my sons rabbit Jellybean she kinda does like me she lets me pet her and run around my legs playfully but she still doesn't like me picking her up and gets skittish with me I don't know why we had her since she was a baby and figure she be use to me by now
My female lion head was always very receptive to my affection, but as she gets older, she just can't get enough of it now. She used to be more interested in being active and getting her exercise. But she will come running for head rubs and pets every time. I used to have a male Dutch rabbit, and he was extremely friendly/affectionate from day 1. But he was given to me by an elementary school, at three months old. So he was pretty much used to being mauled by kids. He was a licking champ.
Yesss it was so expensive to get my female spayed! And it was such a scary recovery and there’s much more risks. I had to keep her beside my bed and watch her all day because she kept getting to her stitches and chewing them out. We got butterfly stitches to keep the wound closed and luckily the wound was healing pretty quickly. Lesson learned, leave the cone on them.
My little Java boy passed 3 days ago. He was the king of our home and the greatest love of my life. I am devastated without him. I’m not ready for another one yet but I can say I’d get another male hands down. He was the best little love and I have 3 cats and he still beat them on how much he loved us!
I have both ❤️ Rescued my male rabbit Emi at the beginning of this year from a small woodland. He's the most affactionate, loving and social rabbit I know. I adopted my girl Bianca from a sanctuary in July and she's been a great addition. She is indeed more sassy but also friendly and cute. They have bonded so well and love being together. I love them so much ❤️❤️❤️
I have a boy bunny. I never had to choose between a boy or girl because of how he came to me. I had a friend who wasn't able to care for her pets, and I offered to take them in until she was able to again so they wouldn't be homeless. I fell in love with the bunny and she asked me to keep him for the rest of his life. I said yes so fast.
Hey Lorelei! So, I recently went to a fair and they had bunnies used as prizes. They were outside a small pool surrounded by a gate and were being hit by the rings and splashed on. After watching your videos for years it broke my heart. Just wanted to let you know in case you wanted to do a video spreading awareness about it.hope your doing well! 💕💕
I am so sorry to hear that☹️🙁. It also breaks my heart. I know someone who kept their rabbit outside in a hutch, and thought they were a girl, and they were a boy.
I completely agree. I went to a fair where they put the rabbits in a ginormous pen and had a bunch of little kids come and catch them for money😢. No rabbit should be treated like that.
My first bunny was a white Netherland Dwarf and I'm sure was a female. Was very loving and affectionate ❤️ we got her as a therapy pet for me because I lost my pregnancy in early December 2021 and my husband thought it could help me a lot throughout my grief and depressive state, it actually helped me! Sadly we only had her for 2 weeks as she passed away, from February 23-march 9th 2022. And now we have Leo, another Netherland Dwarf but an orange ginger like colored bunny, we got him a little big bigger and has a different personality but I still love my bunnies!!! They have helped me a lot and I love them so much! 🐇❤️🥰 Your videos have helped me greatly!
My first bunny was lop eared and I had him for almost 14 years. In the last six months of his life, I got a female rabbit and the two _loved_ each other. I have so many pictures of them cuddled next to each other while they're sleeping. She was a bit of a nightmare because she growled at me and would never let me touch her, haha. Unfortunately two weeks after my first rabbit died, she died unexpectedly while getting fixed at the vet. It was devastating losing two rabbits in the same month, but now, I have a new 7 month old male bunny and he is very rambunctious and affectionate. I love him a whole lot. Rabbits are such a special pet, which people won't know until they have one themselves.
LOVED THIS VIDEO!!! I have a incredibly sassy girl bunny Azula (ZuZu). Although she drives me crazy sometimes, I'm truly happy she's part of the family. My seven year old daughter considers her her older sister and draws pictures with her in them when drawing The Family.
I have a one year old boy, and he's a super curious bunny who flops everywhere and likes to see what's going on around the apartment. He is extremely loving to me and my boyfriend, and likes some of our close friends, he's just not a fan to many strangers petting him.
I have 6 boys and 1 girl (4 of the boys are her kids). She gets along with the others so well and since she gave birth, she is trusting me 100% and cuddles a lot with me, the boys are more sassy 😂
Hey Lorilei, I just wanted to say I would have never thought in my life to adopt/ get a rabbit and now I have a beautiful rabbit named snowy that I love with all my heart, and I really appreciate that the reason I have him is because of watching your videos.
I have both male and female. I adopted them from separate rabbit rescue organizations, and we introduced them over the course of about an hour, and observed their interactions for an additional hour. They are so affectionate and content with each other!
My first rabbit was a girl that's turned out to be the queen of the house and my heart... I've never had a male so I can't compare through my own experience, but I wouldn't change my queen for a male or any other animal... there are so many things she's taught me about trust and affection that I can only thank that it's been her the one that has taught me how to take care of such an incredible animal...
This is the best "first-time-owner" info video I've ever seen. I had two rabbits during the teens and, fortunately, the adoption agency had much of this advice for me, letting me give them a nice place to live (free-roam with flexible grid-fences to protect them from wires and the baseboards and furniture legs from them.) Since they were neutered, I only had to deal with the occasional "oopsie" and litter-box cleaning was a snap since I took their advice and got them a massive cement mixer style tray for their litter-box instead of the tiny ones they sell in pet stores for rabbits. Alternately, you can get them a cat or even dog-sized litter-tray if you really want to give the pet store your business.
I have a new boy bunny I'm learning to bond with! He's a bit shy and definitely more mellow but I've been loving all your content ❤️ it's been helping me learn a LOT.
I got first rabbit from a rescue about a month ago. I wanted 2. I was thinking to get another female but after talking to some coworkers who have rabbits, decided to get a male lop from another rescue. I’m smitten. I hope the bonding will not be too difficult.
i have two male bunnies and they get along perfect ! i got one first and then went and got another . they are not fixed and one is other than the other, but they both young . as long as you bond them well they should get along ! i have a lion head dwarf and a mini lop
I have a sassy little girl named Brownie who is super affection, but equally independent and territorial! She's the only bun but I honestly think she wouldn't have it any other way. More stuff, space, and love all for her!
I've been researching on rabbits and watching your videos for the last three weeks. My dad wasn't convinced in the beginning, then I convinced him. I just bought everything I need I am gonna buy him tomorrow(there are no bunny rescues where I live, so I bought it off a breeder not a pet store)
We adopted a girl, then after watching your videos decided we needed to go back to the humane society and get the boy. They got along from the beginning. He shows off a lot for her😁 Thank you so much for your videos.❤️
I'm crying while watching this video. My precious bunny joined Heaven on April 25th. I miss her so bad, and it's only been 2 days. Keep on hopping Mango bunny! 😭😭
I have 1 male and i love him so much! At first he wasnt really interested in me but now when i put him out he always makes that oink noises and chases me when i run away its so cute!
I have a boy blue holland lop named Rockie he has brought so much joy to my family we love him. He loves to sleep under my bed and wake me for pets and snuggles. He is the sweetest and I love bonding with him.
We do have a boy bunny and he follows us around the house wherever we go! He’s our little body guard just laying down next to us so if anyone tries anything he has our back 🤣 it’s the cutest thing ever
I had a girl bunny! She was my first. She was certainly sassy, but so so loving. Her sassiness made her that more lovable! She had the cutest personality. Very upfront, protective, and demanding…….but also snuggly and coquettish. I don’t think new rabbit owners need to choose between sexes. Just learn your bunny-pay attention-they will show you what they want and need. 🥰
I have a dwarf lop that is a boy. Maybe it is just me, but he is a complete ladies man! Super loving, and loves those cuddles! We had a Californian rabbit who was also a male and he was the same way! I'd have to say I enjoy having boy bunnies!
I have a 16 week old boy (Bucky) the big day for him is this Wednesday. I absolutely adore him and love spending all my time with him. I have done some research and have decided that getting him neutered is the best option for us. I had my concern but I must say your videos have helped the decision process. I have actually learnt a lot thanks to you and Lennon. ❤
Lovely video!😊💕 I found an abandoned domestic rabbit by my building (people actually saw a woman dump him out of a bag, with his bag of pellets and his water bottle, and keep walking 💔). He became the love of my life. Because of his incredibly loving nature, I guess that someone really loved him when he was growing up, but then disappeared from his life, and the people left with him didn’t want him. I am so blessed to have had him in my life for 7 years. He got prostate cancer and we had to do the unthinkable in August of 2021, and I miss him every single day. I still talk to him because it just feels like his spirit is still with me. Bun love is forever. ❤️💔
I’m going to get a bunny in a few weeks, but am not sure of what gender I will get. I’ve been searching TH-cam for videos like this, and right when I thought there weren’t any, you posted! Thank you Lorelei and Lennon 🤗❤️
Hi I recommend a boy bunny! They are calm and very sweet! Also you won't have to worry about fixing them as early! I haven't has a girl bun yet but my boy bunny is very cute rambunctious and adorable!
@@bye427 actually I would say that girls are usually easier on the spaying/neutering front haha- I’ve owned 13 bunnies over the years and in my experience the spraying that males do early on is very time consuming to clean and take care of. Whereas girls you just have to spay them before they’re 5. However both are wonderful and sweet and I love boys and girl bunnies! Just pick the one that you feel is right for you ❤️
The pet store i got my first bunny said they only sold female bunnies... imagine my surprise, when she turned out to be a he! But he was very adorable and awesome.. when he passed away i never thought I'd find another bunny as amazing as he was, until I had a chance to pick my own bunny from many cages full of bunnies at a pet place.. and one little bunny hopped over to me.. while all the other bunnies hid in corners, she seemed so cute and hopped over as if to greet me, so I picked her, and she turned out to be even More amazing.. we understood eachother so well, she knew how to communicate what she wanted.. and was very affectionate, and a very quick learner. I'd say either gender of bunny can be very wonderful. Just remember they have their own personalities, just like people.. some are more shy, some are more outgoing, one of mine was very creative and liked to modify her things in her cage to suit her needs/wants.
I had a female and she was definitely the "protector" of the home. Never knew a rabbit to growl and thump at an intruder before, even if that so-called "intruder" was my neighbor stopping by after I invited them over.
I have both! They’re very different but that’s more due to their past, my male being neutered and my female not being spayed etc. My female rabbit came from my boyfriend’s house, she was a caged rabbit and they got her from a drug addict. She is very very territorial and is quite aggressive, she cannot stand being touched but that’s not a problem for me. My male, who i’ve had since he was 8 weeks old, is amazing in terms of behaviour and our relationship! My female was never going to get a home like the one I have given her and so I decided to take on this huge task and give her the life she deserves, they’re massively in love now too so it’s all wrapped up now 💍 i don’t have to touch her, i have learned that bunnies simply don’t need this. Therefore, I only touch her to cut her nails, brush her fur etc. She has bitten me once and tried to bite me multiple times but she is getting better. I must get her spayed, this will help massively like it did for my male. He was a crazy baby!🤣 He’s 1 and she’s 2. Best decision of my life and that’s thanks to Lorelei!
I’m a new bunny mom as of 3months ago! And your channel has helped me so so much. I adopted a male bunny! His name is Charming and he keeps me on my toes 😭😭😭. And he is bossy and owns my entire home. We are still learning each other and we are making progress everyday. He doesn’t like to be cuddled which makes me a little sad 😞, he may have experienced some trauma before I became his mom. BUT he does like kisses! So I kiss him when he allows me to☺️. Thankyou for your channel because I’d be lost without it 🤍
I've had 5 girls and 8 boys over the years. Girls tend to be either the sweetest of sweethearts or...grumpy af sass machines. Boys tend to be sweet most of the time. Personally I think boys are less of a gamble personality wise. Never had issues with them spraying in the house. They would wait until they got outside. But that might be different if they don't have the opportunity to go out of the house of course.
I had 2 male bunnies for 9 years before they passed on and now I have two bonded female rabbits both spayed 🐰🐰 all 4 have had very unique personalities
My female bunny Pandi🐰 just got spayed today, a little worried cuz she seems sore and isn’t eating food on her own but she takes the syringe feeding like a champ, she just seems to lazy to go to her bowl. Wish her luck!
💝🐰💐🥰 In my experience for bunnies as pets, females are usually more timid and reserved, but once they bond with you they can be very affectionate!!! Although females are sassy and demanding, it is THEIR WAY or the highway!! Male rabbits are usually more playful and outgoing and are generally easier for people to bond with for life if you are able to imprint on them as their owner before they hit puberty. If you want a bunny that will play with you a lot or you also have dogs/cats as pets, I suggest getting a male. If you want to get two rabbits, you can get two females, I have never had two females raised together end up fighting unless one or both go through maternity, they can make great bonded pairs as sisters for life!!! Two males even brothers will end up fighting for territory if they both aren’t neutered. Having a neutered male and a female also make a great bonded pair. I usually don’t suggest for people to spay their female unless they are at risk for unwanted pregnancy, because I know of several people who’s female rabbits when through a traumatic experience physically and emotionally after getting spayed. Always do what’s best for your bunny, they deserve as much kindness and consideration as any other precious living soul !!! 💕🐰🌸🕊
I can’t even begin to thank you and Lennon for making these videos. I recently lost a bunny to stasis due to expired pellets if you don’t already please discuss this in a video. I’m not sure if the pellets are the full reason as the vet couldn’t give me a direct answer but she assured me it played a role in midnights sudden death.
I have both! I've had my buns for 2 years now and they are my first. They're brother and sister, so they get along super well. Alice is VERY sassy, and Gru is sweet and loving.
Ive had both. My first bunny was an unneutered male and he was my soulmate, ive never had that strong of a relationship with another animal before or after. He was very calm, friendly and extremely affectionate. I miss him so much. ❤ Then i got two bunnies the year after my first passed away. A male and female, they were a lovely couple, the male was also super calm, while the female is all over the place and extremely naughty. She gets into everything and bunny profing has never been enough with her. She is the queen of the house and extremely moody. Even my dog is afraid of her. Her partner passed away last year, so its just her now. But she is still happy and have grown more affectionate with us now. Her name is Leah and she is 9 years old, she turns 10 on christmas eve.
I have 2 baby bunnies, a brother and sister, and this does describe each of their different personalities! The girl gets scared easily but they are both affectionate and comfortable with me When I snuggle with them, the boy likes to explore and not stay still as much and the girl when she’s laying on me if I stop petting her she bites my shirt until I pet her again My girl is always grooming her brother, I haven’t seen him groom her but his fur is fluffy and long & hers is short so he needs more grooming😅 Anyways, I think that’s why she loves to be pet and attention from me❤ She has also mounted him a few times This morning I fed them their pellets and the boy jumped in & was sitting in their water bowl while he ate, lol
my rabbit Rocky was one of the best pet and friend i could even had, i miss him dearly but still remember how much joy bring us to my home he was a male and im gonna tell you they love you unconditional
I just got a boy yesterday! I named him Cinonni (sin-on-ee), Cin for cinnamon, onni meaning happy boy. We've already bonded, which is absolutely perfect! It was love at first sight. Hes 1-3 years old, and not neutered. I dont know what the oldest is that a boy bun can be neutered, but Im going to call the vet tomorrow and hopefully set an appointment (fingers crossed). I've watched almost, if not all, of yours and a lot of Cinabuns videos. After I watched one of your videos, I was hooked and have been binge watching them ever since! Lol I've been begging my parents to let me get a bun, as long as I keep the smell down, and pay for everything on my own. After a year of many no's, I finally got a yes. They all think im crazy for everything Ive bought (critical care, gas relief drops, ect.), and how much Ive spent. They dont realize how much rabbits need and how sensitive their tummies are. I want to be a vet surgeon(long-term) once I graduate high school, I love research, and want to provide the absolute best care for my bun. Thank you for everything you have taught me, I would never have met Cinonni if it wasn't for you! Also, he's a rescue, not bought. Thanks to you, rescuing & proper bun care is a new passion of mine!
My mum always had bunnies when she was growing up so after our dogs passed we decided to get a pet bunny. It’s been about 10 years since we got him and he’s still so active even though he sometimes tries to jump over things and miss because of his little grandad legs 🤣😂. He has been such a wonderful bunny and I’m so glad he’s had such a long life and I hope he lives for many more!! 🥰 also I love this channel so much thank you for all the helpful information Lorelei
Yayyy always so happy to see more new content from one of my favorite two TH-cam individuals. Hope you Lorelei and Lennon are doing well. ❤🙂 so glad to be early lol.
We got our little Rosie yesterday, a 10 week old mini lop girl. ☺️❤️🐰 She was born in a pet shop, kept in a large cage, scared when the pet shop worker took her out :( but we decided to spoil her from the beginning. I believe we will bond quickly. It’s her second day, she was already roaming around a living room, explored all the corners (bunny proofed), sniffed us and jumped around us. ☺️ she is still a little hesitant to be petted, and she sleeps outside of her little house, but I hope it will be better 🥹
I'm not getting a bunny, they require far too much responsibility and die far too young. But i appreciate animal lovers online ❤️, you are doing the good work of humanity.
To the people that read this, God loves you so much and I honestly just want to spread his word that he definitely changed my life for the better and every one of you have potential to spread the Gospel and also change because of God have a good day/night/evening/afternoon (not forcing anyone)
My last Buns were two brothers. And i must say, a lot depends on the character. I had a very wild and energetic one and the other was a total cuddle monster- he always groomed me when he was next to me and i pet him he became a sleepy blop of cuteness. He was very gentle and loving towards me and his stubborn brother.
So happy to have found your channel! We inherited our bunnies Luna and Harry from family who found out they were deathly allergic to them 😢 they are 3 months old now and we are so happy and in love!
Both! Rescued my female yesterday. Can’t wait to (hopefully) have a bonded pair to keep eachother company while I work. She turns 2 in 7 days and has spent her whole life in a cage… (my male rabbit is 7 months and I’ve had him since he was 3 months. He has been kept in a large pen/ free roam. it’s a big adjustment for her, but she seems to be doing pretty well.
I bought two bonded sisters. They were bonded before they were spayed... and stayed bonded after spay. They are super lovable and affectionate! I love them a lot :D
We have both male and female. We got him first, a month after he was neutered, we got a female. She was still a baby and he was nine months old. It was love at first sight. When she was old enough we got her spayed. They are so in love with each other. We didn't know that bunnies are so social so that's why we didn't get two together to begin with.
I'm so lucky to have both! Maggie came first and she is absolutely my sidekick and she is the big boss in our house. Very confident, curious, and loves meeting new people. Toki Wartooth came two years later and he adores Maggie and spends most of his time trying to catch her attention. He's easily startled and very wary of anything and anyone new he encounters. But he is also a sweet, gentle little man who loves to play games and nuzzles frequently. I love how distinct their personalities are and it was fascinating learning how they communicate with me very differently. Toki loves to thump out of sheer excitement or impatience while a Maggie thump is rare and to be taken seriously. Maggie will make it very clear if she wants something while Toki doesn't ask for much and is just very excited for any treats, snuggles, new toys etc. I love them both for who they are and I respect their preferences when it comes to interacting with them.
PLEASE answer this question the bunny 4:03 did you get it from Canada because if you did its my bunny that was stolen from me and if truly its her I'm glade you have her
I’m learning about the bunnies. Started out with outside rabbits raised with my chickens then my male that was supposed to be a female got in a fight and lost one of his balls so after calling 16 vets had him neutered and just kept him inside. Just got him a female friend and after a few days they have bonded and love each other. I’m really enjoying these new fur babies.
I’ve got 2 male buns and they are the sweetest brothers! They’re always sticking together and they’re very affectionate towards one another :D - they’re also both neutered!
Hi I have a question, I have a bunny that’s about 5 months old can I put her on a harness and let her play in the yard and eat grass, and also what greens do u recommend? I have a garden with lots of veggies and I’d like to know what I can and can’t give my young bunny!!!!
I have 3 beautiful bunnies and they are 2 are female and one is male, the owner that I got them from told me that they were all female but I had to make sure that she was right. This video has helped me a lot! Thank you so much!!
I have a female Netherland dwarf and I must say I agree with the sassy part lol. She’s very loyal and affectionate to me as her owner, but she can be very sassy with my mom for example and is more territorial with other people. However, she been socialized very young so everyone can pet or hold her as long as it’s in a calm scenario!
I've had rabbits for almost 10 years now, and in those years ive tried having both, but not at the same time. I've had three boys (not neutered) and now i have a girl (she is spayed). I noticed a HUGE difference when i got my female bunny after having male bunnies for 7-8 years, which is mainly the behavior she has towards strangers. I had two mae bunnies (father and son) for many many years and they were allways welcoming to strangers and accepted being petted by both genders in humans, but my female bunny now hates strangers, especially men. I can also feel the difference in the way i've connected with them. With the males i was really their "owner" aka a friend to them but woth my female bunny, I do feel as if i'm her baby. She had a litter of babies before i got her from the rescue and she grooms me whenever i get down on her level and she really cares a lot more for me than my male bunnies did. They chinned me and that was it. Now with my female bunny, she grooms me whenever the slightest bit of my skin is exposed (elbows, knees, ankles and wrists). So in the end, as the video said, i do not know what to prefer because you'll always be biased based on the rabbit you have at the moment, but getting your rabbit neutered/spayed is highly recommended from my side because it saves you from a lot of chaos and "arguments" between you and your rabbit (arguments is referred to them being troublesome in the form of showing extreme dominance and potentially being aggressive. both male and female.) Sorry this is long but, If you want a bunny that is social and not shy around strangers, get a male bunny that was raised in a lot of space around people. And if you want a closer bond and more priavte relationship with your bunny where YOU will be their fav person no matter what, get a female. Also... TAKE YOUR TIME! for your little cottontail to get to know you and trust you, even if it takes months. i've found an easy and rather quick way to bond with my bunnies but thats from many years of experience with handling anxious bunnies!
Had my first rabbit at the age of 16.. I always bought my rabbits from pet stores but someone suggested a rescue - so I've adopted a Momma rabbit and her two sons.. My 4 year old daughter is so Inlove with them and the mother rabbit always plays with her and her toys (her laughter when playing with momma rabbit is so infectious) .. My daughter's daycare said that they think she suffers from anxiety because she doesn't gel well with other children and cried every morning when I drop her off- these rabbits have been the best addition to our family because ever since they arrived, my daughter has been happier, more social and hasn't cried at daycare
My old neighbour absolutely *adores* rabbits (her "bunbuns.") She adopted a mother & son pair, Chewie & Max, but unfortunately, she lost Chewie to an illness a couple of years ago and Maxie had to be euthanized last year from reoccurring intestinal tumors. Her best friend now is a female named Daphne who was adopted after Chewie passed; Daph was close with Max and had a tough time adjusting without him. When we lived there, we’d look up what vegetables rabbits can and can't eat and give her bags of scraps & leftovers instead of just throwing them in the organics bin. 4:40 I've always read that it's *females* of any given breed that are the bigger sex (which is *very rare* among mammals and only occurs in a few species such as spotted hyenas & baleen whales like blue & humpback.)
I have both male & female together at May 2022 when they are just 1 month. Now Sept 2022, both of them are spayed start from Male rabbit & follow by female rabbit. Which mean they are grow together since they are born. I'm very happy that they are a part of my life☺️
I have a male and female, the male i didnt know until visisting a vet because only one testicle descended and he got fixed. The female is his mother and I'm saving for her operation but didn't know the chance of cancer was so high for her. Can't wait to reunite them as they're bonded
What she said at the end is most important. Whatever rabbit you choose if it is raised in the right environment with love, roaming and lots of attention it will be the best pet you could ever ask for.
I have both but not yet bonded. We have our boy when he was 2 months old. And adopted a female 3 months ago in a shelter, our adopted one is a nervous bunny and still gaining her trust.
I have both, I rescued both about two year apart. They are both free roam, fixed and in love lol. And no matter what (there is always hay EVERYWHERE lol
Do you have a girl or a boy? OR BOTH? Comment below!
A boy rabbit named hershey :)
A girl rabbit, she's so swee- no, sassy.
I had a girl named Mango. Miss you Mangie!
a boy rabbit named fergison
I have a male or fem his name is happy my mother named her
I adopted a male and female bunny in 2019, and had them both spayed and neutered in mid-2020. They absolutely adored eachoter, until my female baby, Domino, passed suddenly. Panda and I miss her everyday. Seeing two bonded bunnies interact with one another is truly the most beautiful, pure thing in the entire world.
I’m really sorry for your loss🤍
I’m sorry for your loss. My Bugs bunny and I just lost our Thumper. I’m now searching for a friend for Bugs.
😢 so sad especially when they were so close , I love the names of your bunnies
Get a replacement rabbit your rabbit will bond again it’s so much nicer for them to have a rabbit for company.I have a pair from the animal shelter which I bonded myself.
Please get a new bunny. They need a Partner.
They are my life now ❤️
Hello, do you keep them together or separated? I also have 1 male and 2 females
@@kifaiiii heyyy! We keep them together and free roaming bec they are social animals ❤️ They actually love being together from the time they are awake to the time they sleep, its super adorable
My bunnies are my life too. I often decline going out on weekends, cause I want to spend time with my babies.
@@jomasanchez8000 and kifaiinesse - how did you guys bond this trio together?
Awh
Sorry he left 💔💔 but you have good memories
Right!! I had a male bunny who acted as a female as well. I thought I was the only one and was hella worried. Rip Mori
Same my rabbit is so sassy
I have a female that sprayed all over my feet once 😂
I have a rabbit named Jack too! What a small world! 😅
I have a boy and he's the king of the house. We found him last year hopping around on our street. Have been watching your videos since to learn more about bunnies 😊
Your bunny 🐰 🐇 was lucky to find you!
We had our girl bunny Poppy because we also found her in the street. Found out she belonged to a neighbour who had a lot of rabbits and wasn't bothered about having her back, so we kept her and love her.
So u found a wild bunny? And if u do then that story is a life.
@@Nice-ox4rj don't think anyone found a wild bunny, probably a lost or escaped pet this was what happened in my case
@@Nice-ox4rj don't really understand your comment 'and if u do then that story is a life'??
It's mobing time
morbius reference??? 😳😳
Mobius chose you.
Yes everyone has their own personality ❤️❤️❤️
Morbius!!?!??! 😱😱😱
She absolutely adores my boys (ages 6&8) tho, and it’s so precious to see her love on them 🧡
Hello do they still poop around the house even when they are litter trained?
Wangji doesn't let anyone get close to him and stays in his home mostly, while Wuxian follows me wherever I go and jumps everywhere and hugs me every time, and sometimes wangji follows Wuxian everywhere but so calmly, Wuxian is the one who jumps on wangji.. and whenever they feel tired, they hug each other and sleep✧*。
honestly I didn't want to name them Wangji & Wuxian but their personality exactly match(≧▽≦)

What kind of CDRAMA is it?
Thank you!😊💜✌🐇
he found you on mother's day!? How divine!! So sweet.
That is the cutest thing! Our rabbit found us on Fathers Day!!
I got my 2 on my 6 birthday I am 10 now and the female has gone on to heaven
I adopted a male and a female last month, they absolutely adore each other! I’ve been watching your vids since 2019 and having two bunnies now is like a dream come true to me! Thank you so much for sharing so much info with us
How did u get your rabbits to get along ?
I have a boy and just got a girl
And he is Chases her around and try to bit her
@@sobiaperez4484 It depends if they’re both spayed/neutered.
Same! Mine are brother and sister, 8wks old now, I’ve seen the girl mounting the boy a few times, but they usually are snuggled together and do everything together
The girl (short white fur w gray ears & red eyes) is smaller and gets scared easier, the boy (fluffy black fur, a lionhead mix) is more confident & bigger
They’ve each got such different personalities, it’s so cute to see
My daughter knew I was looking for a bunny and found some, she went to pick it up for me and the lady said we had to get both of them together
Now I can’t even image if I’d only gotten one of them, they’re perfect together & really bonded
I’m hoping I don’t have any issues as they get older before getting them spayed & neutered
Lenny doesn't even realize how lucky she is to be so loved and looked after.
Where do you live that doesn't allow pets?
Yeah yeah you yeah yeah you
Gong Greg Greg got the job
Just a note we have two "males" so so closely bonded. One is tiny, intense, curious more anxious and doesn't really like human strokes (unless eating). The other is much much more relaxed, loves pets and is also so curious and affectionate. Rabbits are like humans, they are not going to fit into the boxes!
NEVER BOND MALE RABBITS WITH EACHOTHER!! It's rare that it goes well. Male female pair is what's best and what's intended
why the quotation marks
@@G0ldwaves n9t true male rabbits can be fine.
Lol uh our bunnies were bonded by the rescue and they are very very happy. Both nurtured, and loving life. I'm not separating them after having been bonded happily for at least 3/4 years?????
And male in inferred commas because they're neutured rabbits. They don't care
@@LoudlyListening it’s still male even if it’s testicles are gone.
That explains why my rabbit Jasper likes me more then he'll let me pick him up and follow me everywhere my sons rabbit Jellybean she kinda does like me she lets me pet her and run around my legs playfully but she still doesn't like me picking her up and gets skittish with me I don't know why we had her since she was a baby and figure she be use to me by now
Same with dogs. Male dogs tend to be more gentle and forgiving. Whilst female dogs are more particular and cautious
I said yes so fast.
awww. so sweet. Glad that worked out for bunny. ♡
this is awful. unfortunately it happens a lot with small animals like fish too. those rabbits most likely came from a breeding mill/backyard breeder..
Absolutely heartbreaking. I would absolutely file a complaint to whoever runs the fair. This 100% sounds like animal cruelty.
Sorry to hear that and it makes me sad too💕💕
My first bunny was a white Netherland Dwarf and I'm sure was a female.
Another female trait can be the dewlap! Elowen still has one after being spayed for a year, and it's the cutest.
My bunny’s dewlap is so big I call it her built in pillow 😂
I have both and I found it very surprising and interesting how well their personalities fit with what you described. Very good video!
My daughter has her companion bunny, Winter is a female. She is so awesome, the whole family love her so much.
I love that name!! Is she all white??
I've been researching on rabbits and watching your videos for the last three weeks. My dad wasn't convinced in the beginning, then I convinced him. I just bought everything I need I am gonna buy him tomorrow(there are no bunny rescues where I live, so I bought it off a breeder not a pet store)
We adopted a girl, then after watching your videos decided we needed to go back to the humane society and get the boy. They got along from the beginning. He shows off a lot for her😁
Thank you so much for your videos.❤️
"affectionate"
my female rabbit: who's that hand coming in my cage
I'm crying while watching this video. My precious bunny joined Heaven on April 25th. I miss her so bad, and it's only been 2 days. Keep on hopping Mango bunny! 😭😭
I’m very sorry for your loss!
I'm very sorry that you have to go through that😭😭 I'm tearing up reading this
@@nevayaspalding9351 thank you. That really means a lot
@@sashaconrad3939 thank you. That really means a lot
So sad for you. Think of the happy memories
Just pick the one that you feel is right for you ❤️
@@ChikinKween haha I fixed my boy before he sprayed I have only had w bunny so I will take your advice!
Made me tear up, hearing about your female and you deciding to give her a life she deserves. You're an angel!
Aww am very sorry for ur loss !
Then i got two bunnies the year after my first passed away.
Have I ever mention how smart and amazing of a bunny 🐰 mom Lorelei is 😄😄 and Lennon she is like the teacher u know 😂 a bunny 🐰 teacher
I have 2 baby bunnies, a brother and sister, and this does describe each of their different personalities!
The girl gets scared easily but they are both affectionate and comfortable with me
When I snuggle with them, the boy likes to explore and not stay still as much and the girl when she’s laying on me if I stop petting her she bites my shirt until I pet her again
My girl is always grooming her brother, I haven’t seen him groom her but his fur is fluffy and long & hers is short so he needs more grooming😅
Anyways, I think that’s why she loves to be pet and attention from me❤
She has also mounted him a few times
This morning I fed them their pellets and the boy jumped in & was sitting in their water bowl while he ate, lol
*oh- rewatching this and found my comment.. update: both of them are boys 😅😂 (however their personalities are still very different from each other)
my rabbit Rocky was one of the best pet and friend i could even had, i miss him dearly but still remember how much joy bring us to my home he was a male and im gonna tell you they love you unconditional
I have had ten rabbits, five males and five females. This video is full of accurate and pertinent information. Very professionally done as well.
I'm not getting a bunny, they require far too much responsibility and die far too young. But i appreciate animal lovers online ❤️, you are doing the good work of humanity.
2:15 the word "Fixed" makes me cringe.
Boy Rabbit 🐰 ❤
That human women comment was kinda cringe though 😬
How's that cringe? Women should be intentional about who they have sex with.
Lennon, I used to have bunnies in cages before and you're the reason I dont have a bunny anymore until I can free roam it. You're channel is the best.
I have both. Our male is very affectionate and our female is more reserved. It is fun to watch the difference in their personalities.
They’re always sticking together and they’re very affectionate towards one another :D
- they’re also both neutered!
So in the end, as the video said, i do not know what to prefer because you'll always be biased based on the rabbit you have at the moment, but getting your rabbit neutered/spayed is highly recommended from my side because it saves you from a lot of chaos and "arguments" between you and your rabbit (arguments is referred to them being troublesome in the form of showing extreme dominance and potentially being aggressive. both male and female.)
Sorry this is long but, If you want a bunny that is social and not shy around strangers, get a male bunny that was raised in a lot of space around people.
I'm very happy that they are a part of my life☺️
babysitting a one year old girl bunny for a couple months. we bonded super quick and she's a gem!
I'm a bunny rescuer, i have an average of 3 bunnies at the same time waiting for their new families:))
This video was so excellent! We have both a boy and a girl bunny and agree with your descriptions. Thanks!
Cince we got our bunnys we've been watching your channel and they have lived great lovely live. Thank you for helping us treat our bunnys right.
