My favorite thing about this game is that Nowak encounters many strange scenarios and people, and instead of going "erm that's weird lol" he just gets genuinely confused or uncomfortable. Even Bosch, who tends to be a bit more jokey about the situations, never really falls into that territory where it feels like the game is embarrassed about itself, and even he has moments where he's just genuinely at a loss. It's really good at having things weird Nowak out without making it feel disingenuous Also it's totally understandable if gray wants to play the game himself off stream, but I think it would be really cool if we got more streams of this game. It has a lot of very memorable moments :)
57:05 my favourite example of this is Terry Hintz from Lisa the Painful. Literally deals 1 damage when you get him, incentivising you to use items, but scales exponentially. Edit: oh lmao he was mentioned by chat literally 3 seconds after I typed this all out
One of my favourite games ever made, final shown off to more. A true work of art in nearly every aspect, and a game which brings me immense joy for engaging with it's vast network of underlying systems at play. I couldn't say enough good things about it, other than the fact it's a puzzle game disguised as an rpg, which I hope he engages with. Only the best to everyone.
If you want an RPG that forces you to think and puts you in difficult battles and situations, I feel like you’d love LISA: The Painful. Hell, I believe that this game was inspired in part by LISA: The Pointless, which is a super prolific LISA fangame that focuses on that kind of structure and decision-making.
i have been waiting for this stream for a century, borchestra is one of my favorite games and prolly the one that has impacted changed me the most as a person
I just played through this game recently myself. Really really great OST and interesting mechanics, enemies, themes, and so on. I definitely suck at it though.
I watched someone play this game a long time ago, if i remember correctly, theres some sort of fake out ending and then second better (or at least, more interesting ending), that you can get if you do certain things. Ok yeah. If you refuse to kill the corpse, you unlock a second alternative run type, or something like that?
Hearing your opinion of wanting rpgs that are both difficult and tell you exactly what things do, makes me feel like Library of Ruina is either exactly what you're looking for, or that you'd absolutely hate it
PLEASE DO THEIR OTHER GAME, CLOWN MEAT, AT SOME POINT. EITHER THE DEMO OR THE FULL GAME WHEN IT COMES OUT, I WOULD JUST REALLY LOVE TO SEE YOU CHECK IT OUT SINCE IT DOESNT GET ENOUGH ATTENTION. I HAVE NO GOOD REASON TO BE YELLING THIS. PELEASE MR FRUIT PLAESE
But yeah it’s a really cool game that I think you would really like. It’s a bit like super meat boy and also a bit like the Lisa games if you’ve ever played them.
Thank GOD i wasn't in chat, would've been the most annoying person in the room, This game and Balatro are PRIME for Hindsight chatting for being an iota inefficient especially Brutal Orchestras Pigment system its insane
he's preparing for peggle orchestra
Peggle symphony is much better

7:28 I looked into this and Nowak is apparently a really common Polish last name (which you could probably guess if you knew his full name)

Instantly recognized the Hylics overture when the video started. Didn't even look at the description. Love that OST.

Pretty sure LISA is on his “games to play” spreadsheet, and I really hope he checks it out at some point.
a few weeks ago on twitter, the artist made a post saying it was inspired by lisa the painful and tboi

I would love to watch more of this, because of how this game treats music, and the amazing designs. But I get it do it at your time ❤

"Nowak" is a common surname in Poland and propably other slavic countries. I dont think if means anything in English though
an orchestra is sung at 2:01
Ok you can’t tell me the crowd at 2:33:38 is not inspired by Lisa the hopeful, right?
It is, also there's an item in the game called the jersey, which is a reference to Lisa the pointless.
Pretty sure the boss himself is inspired by Hart from Hopeful lol
@@Poondaedalin they’re not really that similar
