Hello Caleen, congratulations on the purchase of your 2022 Corolla Hybrid. The front camera is specifically for the purpose of the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection. Is cannot be utilized for the purpose of parking. Thank you for your inquiry. ^EA

Hi, Jerry. The Bird’s Eye View Camera was an available option for the '16 RAV4 Limited. Please note, that this feature was not standard and was only available through the Advanced Technology Package.

The auto mode gets annoying when I am using google maps, it comes on and can't get back to the map easily.

No. They add it on at the port in Jacksonville, FL where all the vehicles arrive for Toyota. They don't do it at the dealerships.

I know this is a little late but if you buy a maestro rr or rr2 you keep all the oem stuff for your rav4. Only thing that wasnt kept on mine was the navigation info on the M.I.D. Just make sure the head unit you buy is maestro rr/rr2 compatible.

Can anyone tell me how the birdeyes view works even when my car is parked in garage. How come the car is shown from the up side when there is a concrete ceiling above it. Pls explain anyone.
these are super wide angle camera and all 4 cameras are calibrated in such a way that all the videos are stitched together just like panoramic mode in camera, The Car image is not from camera it is just animated by software.
the image is sent by actual birds working for Toyota, hence "bird's eye view"
Such camera features are standard in Hondas... But you pay 10k-20k extra for the upper trim for this feature in toyota.
False, all Honda has had was lane watch which is now removed, in fact in 2023 Honda has still yet to add a perimeter scan feature, the best they can do is a 360 degree camera which is only on a Pilot Touring while a a 2016 Toyota RAV4 Limited or above or a XLE with the technology package come with a 360 degree camera and a perimeter scan, also Toyota’s luxury company, Lexus has had this since like 2007 or so
Other brand too many model already have bird's eye view, but Toyota still only apply this function in higher model car in 2022. It's too bad.

Even with this nice feature. I can still see very slow and horrible driver hitting parked cars or taking their sweet time to move around.

Khalid Mohammed Isn’t that entire sentence just one big contradiction? Hitting a car = accident. And since it doesn’t work above 6mph, I’d say the purpose IS to reduce the amount of ACCIDENTS that happen while parking and/or parked. 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️

Unless you are in a solid box with no windows this is stupid. It also promotes laziness and unsafe driving. Senerio1 the camera glitches out because you didn't maintane it correctly and have now hit someone. What are you going to say "oh yah sorry my camera must have malfunctioned and I didn't see you." ? That will go well in court. Use your eyes and ears pay attention to the roads and people driving and walking. BE AWARE OF YOUR SITUATION. Thanks Toyota for making drivers who already text, drink, eat and read while driving even lazier.

Wait 2 more years and quality will be better on highlander. Palisade has better quality on the 360 camera. Hyundai Santa fe and sonata has this 360 camera and is better quality for 2020 .
When maneuvering in slow sleeds I know my car and look Where I'm going and not at a screen.

Okay, but lots of people don't and some that think they do, don't. My sister has birds-eye view in her car and doesn't use it backing down our long narrow driveway and, well, she hits things that would be easy to avoid if she would just look at the camera view.
