Had the gun in my hands in Hong Kong. Externallly and internally it's good considering the low price. Bolt pull was scratchy tho, but this might go away after some use. Maybe, maybe not. What I don't like at all about this gun is the extremely short bolt pull. It limits the airvolume of the cylinder. Even if it's possible to get high fps on 0,2g BBs, the cylinder volume is not big enough to accelerate heavyweights like 0,4g. So when you upgrade to 550fps with 0,2g (2,8 Joules) you will get way lower Joules at 0,4g BBs. So you are basically doing the opposite of Joulecreeping, and you will end up with the same Joule amounts as AEG players. So there's no range adventage with this gun.... What's the point of airsoft sniping then.... I do like that finally somebody designed something new except copying the existing stuff. Anyways if you compare it to the original Magpul hunter 700 stock it's kinda ugly to be honest. Overall it think it's a nice beginner sniper especially for countries with very low fps limits. But for those who want the best of the best a VSR-10 or APS-2 compatible upgradebase is the better choice.

It is obvious that you have to change the parts to shoot 500+ fps....i mean vsr-10= 180$ + 420$(the Novritsch Tuning Kits)= 600$? wow... is not better to buy the well mb05 (134.99$) that shoots 420+ fps out of the box with 0,2g bbs? And we know that the Scope also has its price..And a good one does not cost $ 10.....the vsr-10 is a good rifle no one will argue that,..... but spend almost 600$+shipping for 550fps? + a nice scope? We are talking about at least 1000 $......... I have my doubts
i dont think that the vsr kit by novritsh is only about upgrading the fps , but anyway i think that the novritsh kit is maybe too expensive, you should make a full pdi upgrade, that will cost you 600 dollar for upgrade , but it is the best for a sniper rifle, you should look about a bargain that will cost you 500 dollar maybe. the mb05 stock rifle is the same precision than a aeg, so you dont want it, you are forced to upgrade it, so it will be the same price than the vsr10

Can you use a VSR hop up chamber(not just the barrel or hop rubber)? Is the spring guide metal? Will it hop & feed .4's? Does it have barrel spacers? What is the barrel made of? What is the FPS with an M130 or M140 spring? How easy is it to disassemble?
- sears not compatible with vsr, but steel in stock - hop-up isn't compatible with vsr, completely - alum spring guide, w/o bearing - feeds 0.43 well - no spacers, barrel secured with hop-up chamber and plastic insert at barrel end - brass barrel i think - 540fps with M150@0.20 and only 340fps@0.43 - pretty easy to disassemble
Feeds and Can even over hop 0.40g Stock Mine shot 455 fps with M130 but it Can varried a bit, it shoots 490 fps with M145 spring in it. And its much Easier to dissasemble Than an vsr-10, novritsch ssg 24 and so on
I’ve got this sniper, bought the EDGI dual bore barrel, m140 aeg spring, External hop screw, and a cnc hop unit. Can hit targets at 90m. Waiting to buy the EDGI cylinder kit to improve it but I’m in no rush for that yet.
I like what this rifle brings to the market. I'm more interested in the realism-functions rather than absolute performance, so I'm definitely interested in this rifle. Being able to load a bb into the hop-up directly, on top of short-strokes chambering, sounds like a win combinations for those who aren't into long-range shoot outs but still want to adapt a quiet marksman role
5:42 there is a bb that hits the target to the left a bit on the 6 mark even though he is talking to the camera and nobody else is shooting at the target
Was very skeptical to this rifle prior to watching this video, mainly because of the the small cylinder. Very good that is was mentioned, and solid review overall. It might not be a good choice for the dedicated sniper, but definitely looks like a decent rifle to just grab and bring to a skirmish.
Looks fine, but you didnt mentioned the trigger, from what I have seen its definitely not VSR trigger gearbox, Did you trying to find out what kind of trigger this is?
There is a real steel counterpart. It is based on the Surgeon action and bottom metal, the stock and magazines look like its partial copy of magpul hunter 700 series.
i have the gun, it is lacking power but intend to upgrade the spring which is easy due to the bolt being able to come out quick for easy upgrades, with 0.36g bbs i am getting at the moment 276fps which is terrible but it still gets some nice shots due to the reliability of the gun. overall i think it is a good gun but you need to upgrade the internals if you know how to.
do amoeba recommend any fps upgrades or is it one of those where you open it to clean it and every warranty becomes void? My target FPS would be as close to but not exceeding 500fps
Still pretty nice though, more modern looking and sleek than the standard VSR-10 or Remington 700 series. Also a huge fan of the realistic magazine, which it looks as they though they also copied from Magpul

I was surprised as well at the price. I'm definitely picking up one at that price. I would've paid up to $300(that's how the Marui L96 went for) because the design checks all the realistic aspects that gas rifles enjoyed at the same price.
it really depends how mutch you want to upgrade your gun but if you want to upgrade everything like (barrel,hop up,cylinder accembly,trigger)it could easyly cost up to 500€
(I know this is a old comment) As a sniper rifle the VSR. IMO the striker is kind of like a dmr, its fast firing for quick follow up shots. but it requires you to get closer.
Bought one last year and I got only one thing to say: Do not waste your time upgrading this gun, it would be much more efficiant to invest in a higher quality sniper right at start like a SSG24 for example!!!
