- Hey guys, and welcome back to another Arma 3 video. In this video I’m going to cover 15 of what I believe are the best air bases in Arma 3 and why I chose them. If there’s any you believe deserve some more attention please comment them down below. Main operating bases, more commonly referred to as MOBs, are often a units preferred operating location as they typically provide security from attack, space to conduct training, as well as planning and executing operations.

Ah I remember Chernarus Air Base well though not flying or taking off from it but turning it into fire and brimstone with arty and firery balls of metal littering the airfiled. Here's to 2024 and more amazing Viper mod suggestions.
Been busy with exams and uni lately, it's nice to finally just chill and watch some Viper content :D
Nice video man! Maybe you should check terrain map mod "Šumava" which is border region between Germany and Czech Republic. This map contains Náměšť Air Base which is active AB of Czech Air Force, but in real world is in whole different region of Czechia....:D Keep up the good work!

Farabad airport from the Global Ops mod is pretty big and definitely worth a gander.

I'm not sure if this counts but i thought it should get a worthy mention, the USS Nimitz mod, just had a squad do an op on it using tomcats and F18s doing carrier ops of the like.

Top tier list! Malden is easily my favorite vanilla Airbase. It's just gorgeous with some of the best lighting. Tanoa goes pretty hard too. Vidda... Vidda just fucks hard.

great vid, am I out of the loop? i thought the USAF guys hadnt re-released the B1 (9:10), is it just old footage?
It’s available on ModDB, uploaded by Fuller. They just didn’t want the legacy mod uploaded on Steam anymore.

We need more huge 144x144 km terrains that don't require CUP for Jets honestly, running only south asia becomes really limiting.
Agree! There’s gotta be something new in the works.
@@Viper1Zero With the new Game Realistic Map tool i've seen plenty of maps in the workshop. Hopefully some good terrain creator will give it a go. I mean for us that enjoy flying in Arma, a good airbase, 144 km map, some structures here and there, good sat resolution and we good to go, it ain't a problem if a sidewalk is missing or some walls. South Asia and Project Iran are a good example.
Love the classic Stratis and Altis airbases, can't go wrong with them. I really enjoy Tanoa's airbase too but fighting on the ground in Tanoa is pretty rough since the AI can see through the grass and bushes but I love to look at the map and with a few mods, the AI cheating can be dialed down

As ever a great video! Many thanks for posting. I can recommend checking out ‘Saint Kapaulio’ on the workshop by my good friend Paul (God-Father) who started this map in 2014. Huge scale and interesting airbases, especially to the NW

This whole list is basically my favorites, so it’s subjective! Ha. I do love all the SOG airfields, they rock
Maxwell Field is my favourite as it is named after my paternal great grandfather Pte Thomas Maxwell KIA 28-3-1918 fighting in France. It’s a CIA airfield we made up to cover the giant hole and mountain that were there to preserve the highest and lowest points of the terrain during development.

It’s good! I definitely spent hundreds of hours at it in A2!
@@Viper1Zero Same, I used to spend more time there than on Chernarus since my old laptop could handle it better at around 30fps XD.
