As weird as Kirkbrides lore is, it is still a bummer that his creativity won't affect the creation process of TES 6
Idk, as mid as modern Bethesda's writing has gotten, I'm still kinda glad MK's work won't be part of it in any way.
@@TattleDeltayeah he's the type of writer you kinda have to constrain to get something good out of him , and with how disorganized and chill ( more like laissez aller than the good kind of chill ) giving him freedom to write whatever he wangs may end up a disaster
@@lynackhilou4865 Well they always limited him in game lore lol, also he is over the top on purpose in out of cannon texts. Without him tes lore would have been much worse
@@nikolamanojlovic3764 yeah i agree , in many ways he's the heart and soul of TES lore , he just tends to go a bit overboard in non canon stuff (which could still end up canon since bethesda used some of his writing after departing)
@@lynackhilou4865 yeah, but people as crazy as him seem rare in the industry today lol, so as long as someone else changes his stuff a bit it could make great lore. I think he is just having fun with some of his writings, I could take it as some crazy legends of the in game people
Getting into the REAL lore.
Beyond lost here is this deadass lore canon? Cuz I’m way to high for this crazy gibberish, that just spilled in my ear
It's fan fiction written by Kirkbride.
I will put in some out of game text from time to time.
@@Sam-lf3hnSame. lmao Also i want whatever Kirkbride is smoking.
It's kind of canon. It was written by Michael Kirkbride, one of the lead writers at Bethesda for Elder Scrolls Redguard and Morrowind. He wrote most of the lore, in-game books, and the main stories of those games. He formally left Bethesda after the release of Morrowind, but I believe he was brought on as a contractor to write for the Knights of the Nine Oblivion DLC, and parts of Heimskr's speech about Talos in Whiterun were pulled from one of Kirkbride's stories.
Thing is, he kept writing Elder Scrolls lore and stories even after leaving, so _technically,_ stuff like c0da and KINMUNE should be considered Elder Scrolls fan fiction, but fan fiction written by someone intimately familiar with the games' history and lore and whose writings will likely never be retconned by future games.
Think about it like this: Kirkbride's extra-canon work is fan fiction the same way it would be if George Lucas wrote a screenplay for a theoretical Star Wars Episode 10...and then Disney took scenes and characters from that screenplay and put them into their own film release of Star Wars 10
@Galimeer5 if its not in the games and not directly endorsed by Bethesda then it's fan fiction. Kirkbride is just one of many writers who used to work on the elder scrolls. He is not the creator of elder scrolls lore. He just writes fan fiction.
I am not high enough for this.
Pop some more moon sugar.
