I would love to ride Demo! I’ve only been to SC once and I rode the UC stuff. It was awesome

Odd question. New to mountain biking. Would any of these trails be safe to ride with my 5 year old? I just got him a 20” mountain bike.
I wouldn’t want to get in the way of faster riders. That would be unsafe for both parties.
Can anyone recommend some beginner loops in SCV or SFV?

Hey! There are parts of tapia that are great for little ones. I would basically suggest staying low in the hill and riding trails like karl’s, Logan’s and Sesame Street. (These can be found on the Trailforks app) I wouldnt describe any of the trails there as “advanced” but they do get a bit more intermediate as you go higher up the hill. And as a father that’s brought my kids up there when they were 5, you could definitely find yourself walking a lot of spots.
I would probably try to avoid weekend mornings when the wether is nice as that’s the most crowded time to be there. Nobody is gonna nuke your little guy but it makes for a more relaxing ride when you don’t feel like you’re holding anybody up.
Also, as a dad that’s had great days and not-so great days on the trail with my kids.. remember to keep a soft mindset coming into rides with young kids. Some days they’ll absolutely slay it. Other days they can’t get comfortable and will push back on you. Don’t push too hard and keep it fun. 👍🏼

Thats for the reply! I work every other Sunday, and I am working 4 ten hour shifts a week therefore I get a few days off during the week. Definitely check this spot out when it isn’t too busy. 🙏🏼
