Welcome Wolf-Pack - I hope this latest video finds you well - A great solo stealth camp setup trial with a few bits of untested survival gear i've been waiting to try out in the wild for the first time. New continuous ridgeline, new soft shackles and the DD Hammocks Whoopie sling. Please click the like button and share on your social media. Thanks for your support - Love, peace and progress to the pack... 💙🐺
Thanks DailySurvival appreciate your comment. I will be doing a proper wild camp again in next week or so with some extra survival gear and wild camping equipment. I may even try streaming live while stealth camping - thanks for your comment my lovely 🐺💙
Hey you, great to hear from you - I trust you’re well. And yes great idea (although millions of ideas, not enough eyes is my prob until yt removes its boot from my neck 😝 got a few knot type vids i need to do so I will do them soon - just for you! Thanks for your comment
You did a nice job of converting your hammock suspension to lightweight Amsteel. Now all you need to do to to complete your kit is to install a structural ridge line on your hammock, a spliced 1.7mm or 2.2mm Dyneema UHMWPE cord approximately 83% of your hammock length connected from end to end where your whoopie slings attach. The ridge line will “set the sag” to make your hammock more comfortable and durable under live load; it also supports an accessory bug net.
Ohh I think I saw a video on that somewhere - thanks for the heads up, I’m always looking for ways to improve my setup - this is already v17.3 😜 thanks again for your comment 🐺💙
Yeah it’s a lovely size - couldn’t go with the regular size one now - I’ve only had the last 2 years or so in my hammock and much prefer it from a tent at this point 💙🐺
I use the same ridge line for the ultralight hardware. But why would you mix (heavy useless) ball bungees with titanium hardware and such a heavy pack? It’s a mystery.
Hey you, sorry missed this one - those bungees are not useless as they serve multiple purposes (including strain relief and protection in strong winds, plus give me a little extra height from the ground to mitigate parachuting of the tarp subject to wind direction) not to mention they are super lightweight versions around 10g for all of them. For what i bring in my XL bugout camp setup it’s a super lightweight bugout bag pack I’ve put together (5.11 Tactical Rush 72). My setup uses the DD XL hammock with the DD 4m x 4m Tarp. Thanks for your comment 🙏💙🐺
Hiya, yeah they have slipped down a little on occasion but never when you’re in the hammock- the more weight in the hammock the tighter the straps will be. Lightest and smallest tree straps I’ve seen (also DD Tarps made) 🐺💙

Awesome bushcraft camp setup, I love the DD Hammock. Great details of what & how you use your camping gear. Well deserved tea and cookies!👏🐺💙

hi there!
Hiya Darrell I trust you're well and inspired to get into the woods for a stealth camp of your own :)
Very informative, cheers 👍🏻. If you ever need an idea for a video, I’d love to see one on how to tie knots and what to use when.

Use the hammock XL for many years already, does the job.

@@SigmaPrepper yes, but often in winter I go to the poor man's bed and sleep on the ground in my bivybag.
17:37 Cheers 🎉

Do the tree huggers hold on to the tree ok when just held on like that ?
