  • Winter storms and fresh powder finally blanket the rocky mountains. Enjoy, as we venture out for fresh lion tracks in search for that particular giant Tom in some nasty, deep, rocky canyons.

    Nice cat. The most physically demanding hunt I ever participated in. Congratulations!

      Thanks! It felt like we were constantly racing the clock. The longer it took to get to the tree the more likely the cat was to jump and run another mile in the snow.

    That's intellect decision to make as hunter , pass up a female that the dogs treed. And is great training session for the dogs every time to better their trailing and treeing abilities. For the next cat to catch a big male cougar , on the next hunt.

    I don't understand how this either rewarding or noble. You're using gasoline powered vehicles. Where's the sport? Additionally, you don't even eat these animals. What's the point? Beautiful creature unnecessarily taken. I only bow hunt for meat. This just doesn't make sense to me. Thank you for sharing but I don't get it.

      I don't get it either.
      The only thing I can surmise is macho machismo narcissism.
      I hate these kind of hunters.
      I root for the mountain lions.
      Wish a big mountain lion would get a kill on these idiots.

      It sounds like there are a lot of things you don't understand. For starters, controlling predator populations is key to the sucess of many wildlife species, livestock, and even pets (CA has a ton of lion attacks because the predators have not been taught respect for humans)

    I keep a very well behaved pit bull but i am sure if she saw a cat that big it would be a fight to the death.

    I wanted to see her bagged disappointed he didnt tag her

    • @BigHunterification
      @BigHunterification  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There was no "her" involved in this video. The lion harvested was an adult Tom which is a male lion. Secondly, tagging a lion in Utah involves meeting with a DWR official or conservation officer within 48 hours of harvest so it can be checked, verified, have a permanent tag affixed to the carcass, and have both tissue sampling and a tooth collected for research and to improve management strategies.

    Without GPS, dogs and vehicles would you still be hunters? It's to easy.... fishing is more of a challenge in my book. I don't get it?

      I’ve heard this so many times you have obviously never hunted with dogs they make it look easy what you don’t see is the hundreds of hours spent training walking into a section that might be 10-20 miles between roads easy I think not.

    Sorry, but killing a animal that your not going to eat is not this big great or amazing thing.I respect hunting and hunters, but killing for a thrill just doesnt impress me in the least.

    I take it this was for the purpose of population control, not just for fun right? I once saw this hunting video of these guys shooting crossbows at a cougar and it suffered such a great deal.
