Nice video. The bear scene was pretty cool to watch also. We booked a trip out of Kotzebue for 2022. From Utah as well. Were you able to take your packs as carry on baggage on Alaska Air?
Yes we were able to use our packs as carry-ons. We put all of our heavy and expensive gear (binos, scope, etc.) in the carry-ons. This was by far a “dream come true hunt! “You’ll love it!
yes, that is what I understand as well. I packed out a quarter with the cape and head the next day. The night time pic you see posted with the cape and head on my back was a failed attempt at trying to haul it all out at once. We dumped it with a quarter about 300 yds below the kill site. You live in a beautiful area. I keep trying to convince my wife that we need to move up to Alaska but for some reason she wants to stay close to family...
