I find it strange that the unboxing seems to be such a big deal, I am of the mind-set that "if it brings the price down the packaging does not particularly matter". I'm curious do others in the market for $20 earphones prefer money spent on the box over the product? Overall a great review, well done!!
I like to look at a product holistically, sure it's nice the IEM sounds good, but if the unboxing is unique and the accessories are useful that's even better, and will score brownie points with me. Oftentimes, the price doesn't really go down even if the unboxing experience and accessories are reduced (see iPhones). It's up to the manufacturer to decide if the unboxing is important or not, but to me I like it when the manufacturer makes me feel special for buying their product.
I just bought Moondrop Chu II yesterday, I heard many reviews it has more bass and warmth. As a person who's are newbie on IEM, this is a great first step for buying Moondrop Chu II
I am very contented on how the Chu works for me, and with the timing the announcement of Chu II, I broke Chu's cable during sleep. I was torn between the Chu 2, Aria Snow, and Salnotes Zero (even stellaris II and joker lmao). Thanks to the emphasis on 11:20, I might end up buying Lan. Great vid!
This was exactly the thing i was looking for, i was prepared to watch liek 3-5 vids per iem to make a good comparison but this video really helped out!
I've been using the LAN as my daily driver. However, I'm using expensive tips called the Azla Sedna XELASTEC because I was testing the comfort of them and they're super comfortable. I'm also connecting it with the Moondrop Moon River 2 DAC built in my Moondrop Dash keyboard. So honestly, I've dug myself in a deeper hole but I like the hole.
Been trying to get back into audio technology, reddit is reddit and elsewhere it is hard to know if a review is well thought out or just brand/product shilling. I really have enjoyed theses videos!
amazing review. better than most. keep it up, and PLEASE make a video comparing the chu 2 vs the 7hz salnotes zero 2 that just came out. also zero vs zero 2 would be amazing because I have the zero but wondering if the extra bass in the 2 is worth the upgrade
I just got the Lan and it’s very neutral sounding compared to the Chu 2 . LAN more natural sounding but Chu 2 more exciting if you enjoy v-shape sounding iems
I'm watching this video using Moondrop Chu II which I bought a week ago (probably a day before this video was uploaded to this channel) as I was looking for first impressions but there was barely any. I have to say I'm not a fan of it’s sound but I'm getting used to it since there's nothing better available at this price point.
Notting better? Have you heard about the 7hz Zero, Truthear Hola, Simgot ew100p, Simgot ew100 DSP, Tanchjim Tanja DSP? There are now a lot of good sets on the Market other then those. Or did you want something cheap like the Chu?
@@viralbae9616look at above you,the other comment,he recommended some cheap iems that are actually good,if u don't know which comment, lemme recommend it,the tangzu wan'er,the truthear hola, the 7hz salnotes zero
ok so i'm really torn on something regarding the sound rn do you think the impact and punch a song has on different headphones comes from just bass, bass and treble, a balanced overall sound, or is it about the audio quality itself more than the sound signature? i was using a pair of zs10 pros before a little while ago. i thought the bass and treble were just a little too sharp and jarring, but they're the only headphones that really just made me feel some songs in an almost visceral way. they're broken now, and i'm just using an old pair of headphones with a lot of bass. this pair i'm using is muddier, and rarely hits quite as hard, but it's a lot softer and less tiring. the fact that i haven't used many different sounding pairs of headphones makes it really difficult for me to pinpoint what exactly i'm looking for... i think i want a pair that has its punch but doesn't take away from or overpower mid-range elements. is that what a balanced pair does, or what a v-shaped pair does? i think i'm mostly anxious of getting a balanced pair and feeling like it's too soft to hit me properly.
Hi, I was looking to decide between these Lan's and the EPZ Q1 Pro's for male vocals? Either of them that you could recommend that perform better in that regard? Thanks.
I had moondrop Arias, lost an earpeace and I'm looking to buy a new pair. I have Chu 2, 7Hz Salnotes Zero, Lan 1DD All at basicall the same price. Any tips on what the pick is in this case?
do the Lan and Chu 2's feel like tanks? i've been looking for chi-fi i can wear while taking naps, and usually there is more stress on the pin connectors when that happens

For less than 1000 subs this is a really high quality video. I like it!
Hopefully we reach 1k soon
Yeah, giving it a bump so that he can start monetizing this
He’s super underrated fr I watched a bunch of his old videos
Holy shit didn’t even see the sun count until now. Defo subbed😊
Its not Chu two, it should be Chu chu, like the train. Ok, i am out 🤣
😂
Wait, let me get the door for you and some drum sticks.
Chu Chu is still Chu 2... Ok, i'm going with you too!

Technically your source costs more then your IEM lol

me watching this with a 2$ earphones:
A nice boom mic would do your video wonders. Audio sounds tinnie and flat
I have not decided for myself what would be better, Moondrop Chu 2 or Moondrop Lan.
came for the chu as i bought one recently, stayed for the minecraft steve
i sold my lan because i used ssr regularly and just didnt need lan
but honestly i really miss it and might buy it again 😭
it is not a surprise anymore, moondrop is known from early as a company under cut it self several time
Very nice review

Complaining about “cost-cutting” for a box on a pair of $19 IEM’s is seriously just scratching at the bottom of the barrel smh my head 🤨

@@rickelijah4270Yes I have heard. But are they "better"? And how many of them have you actually used?
i also got the chu-2, love the bass, but the voices sounds a little boxy for my taste, gotta try the LAN ones or the SIMGOT EW200 (at $40)

I am confused between chu ll and hola. Please help.
thank you the video is great.
I am using earbud EB2S, should I upgrade to moondrop Lan?. How you feel about its Lan build quality. I usually listen ASMR & instrumental. Pop ballad.
LOL that thumbnail 😂
Is Chu 2 better than KZ ZS10 Pro?
Hi, I was looking to decide between these Lan's and the EPZ Q1 Pro's for male vocals?
Either of them that you could recommend that perform better in that regard? Thanks.
Is the nozzle size of the cuh 2 and LAN the same? I have small ears the and chu 2’s are really comfortable. Looking if the LAN is a good upgrade
Similar size but the chu 2 has a thicker lip which might feel a bit bigger when you slot it in your ears.
Great Channel🗿👍🏻
How do the salnotes zeros compare to the chu 2s?

What moondrop iem should I buy as of now? mainly for gaming and some music. anything other than these 3 as well if there are better ones.
I'm changing from headset btw so i don't have much knowledge about IEM yet.
The best under 100usd if possible thanks.
I'd go with the Moondrop May if you're fine with the USB-C cable and a bassier sound. Otherwise the Simgot EA500 is good and sounds like a Kato lite
moondrop jiu vs chu2 who win.
Bro, what is going on with your sound? Are you recording in stereo on your phone? I can tell the phase shifts. Im using S22 Ultra AKG earbuds
do the Lan and Chu 2's feel like tanks? i've been looking for chi-fi i can wear while taking naps, and usually there is more stress on the pin connectors when that happens
Chu 2 feels very very nice. All 3 are metal. with the 2 being slightly smaller than the Lan, I would choose that if you plan to sleep.
Lan exist just to make Chu 2 the best value
How's life going man
Pretty good I guess, if a bit hectic
Vs Hola and Kiwi Cadenza?
Is Moondrop SSP still better than Chu 2?
Nope. It’s killed off by chu 2 and it gives the similar bass
Chu 2 are better built, but Chu 1 sounds better for me.
Does the lan have nor bass than og chu?
Lan bass is similar to chu's, maybe ever so slightly more, but you do get better bass definition
blon BL-03 vs Chu 2 which is better?
Chu 2
MOAR bass ?
Chu 2 yea
Ordered the Chu 2 a week ago. Hope I didn't make a mistake.
It's good dw
Do you recommend this over KZ ZSN PRO X?
All 3 of these will be better tuned then ZSN Pro X
Thanks
Why you talk about the boxes for 3 minutes straight, no one cares about the box. other than that decent review
fr. mf whines about boxes on 20$ iems 😂
@@jeremyniels People like you can only criticize and insult other people's efforts, but you can't contribute with anything positive. 🤡
i'd much rather get better audio than accessories 👍
Jui better than chu2
Who cares abt the boxes!
I do lol
Well,i ordered chu 2 because of the box lol
