David Begnaud honors mentor in his life as she retires from teaching

Being a teacher, as a vocation, is the noblest of professions... Period.
They usually affect & mold us even more deeply...for the rest of our lives, than many parents...
And they do all this for a fraction of the salary of almost anyone with similar education & responsibilities.

As a teacher, I totally agree that we often don't realize the impact that we had on our students. I also think that students don't realize the impact that they had on their teachers. So many of my former students have taken a piece of my heart with them. I am grateful for the ones that I still have contact with, and think of so many others often.
