I personally appreciate that Jason is the Dan Hibiki of FGO. Seriously though, his NP is one of the best visually in the game.

I like to point out that Jason skills are very similar to our MC's very first Mystic Codes skills. Jason is literally our first Mystic code as a Servant.
He's literally is a master servant he even said so in one of his dialogue

It makes sense. I mean his whole crew were either demigods or blessed by the Gods. Jason on the other hand was just a man.

@@KreuzDrache Odysseus and Jason are both oddballs in Greek myth. Odysseus was favored by Athena because of his cunning and intellect. Basically she favored him because he was special. Rather than being special because she favored him. Jason was sort of favored by Hera but that was because his uncle, the man he was trying to take the throne back from, had insulted Hera. Basically she helped because she hated his enemy, not because she liked Jason.

There’s also Orpheus, I don’t believe he was a demigod, and I’m pretty sure Apollo gave him his lyre because of how beautifully he could sing and play instruments, so like Athena favoring Odysseus for his cunning. He was also part of the Argonauts… I think? The only shit I know of Greeceo-Roman mythos is from Percy Jackson lol.
@@alexanderinoa7850 Orpheus is in fact a demigod. Sure depending on the myth his dad is either Oeagrus, the king of Thrace, or Apollo. But we don't need to look patrilinially as his mother is always Calliope. Who not only is a muse but sometimes is considered the chief of all muses. Ironically enough Orpheus also travelled alongside Jason on the Argo too.
As for Odysseus well even he can't escape divine blood as his maternal great-grandfather is Hermes. That is why his character is literally always trickery all the time.
...oh and weirdly Jason's maternal great-grandfather is ALSO Hermes.

I love how just through his animations he can endear himself to us he’s really out here doing what he does best being a leader when he gets to close though he sorta just gets in the way
The great irony of Jason is that the one we got is actually an alter. At least from a historical perspective. Jason comes from the epic argonatica, where he is a hero and doesn't ditch Medea because she didn't chop up her kid brother who Jason cared about. An Athenian play write wrote a piece of fan fiction to appeal to Athenian audiences who liked tragedies. He turned Jason into a greedy douche Medea into a bitch and most of the argonauts into one line side characters. wack ass fanfiction Jason's pretty good so could you imagine how awesome argonatica Jason would be? Probably 5* rider or some shit.

I do like how Jason's animations are brimming with character. You bet I'll try my hardest to loop with him but Tomoe takes priority even though she's considered worse...
She needs lot of effort to loop consistently, if I knew Muramasa would break the game I should've just rolled for Summer Kiara

I might grail him to at least 90. Love this guy, not even just for animations. His My Room and bond CE won me over, especially when I found they matched up alright with his myth.

I find it difficult to reach his np, but subsequent NPs are a lot easier to get thanks to his arts buffs. That's why castoria is a big part in his viability

I think for newer players I worry more about ascension mats then late skill mats. Yeah he does need rings and eggs by the end but man if there's one thing you don't want is your Servant stuck at a low level because of some mat that really doesn't drop during part one. This might be a bit lessened with the chapters now granting mats but man it was a pain when I started.
Jason for having some hilarious animations is one of the easier of the new bronze to apply to a team. While he does have a niche he's not tied to it like Salome and Paris are.

And fittingly enough, the crewmates he summoned for each type of his card also use that card type for their own NP, Herc for Buster, Atalante for Quick, Medea for Arts

Honestly I love his animations they're hilarious
Sad part is, closest I ever got in NA to a 'looping' Saber was an NP2 Yagyu thanks to Arts + Crit Supports, like double Tamamo and a Caster Gil I swapped in along with star gen and star dump CEs. If I was really lucky, he had enough steam to pull three NPs if cards lined up, but the best I consistently got was a second NP before the train died down and it was back to rebuilding. The fact that Jason'll be the best we have for a bit hurts me inside for all that effort spent. ;^;

I'm running up on 2+ years in this game on JP and Jason continues to be my favorite servant. level 100, 2k/2k fous, 10/10/10 skill, and bond 11 working on bond 12. He's an incredibly useful servant who can deal a lot more damage than you'd expect on a 1 star of all things, yes this is partially because I was lucky to get Castoria but I used him a lot regardless.

That being said, Jason is a blast, and I'm definitely fielding an Argonaut team around him, no matter how impractical it may be.

he is currently really useful. Shishoufest phase 2 Hero Node. 6ce com. Double Castoria and nero bride and he loops like a charm.. Without him I´d be really sweating right now, cause i have no AoE saber that can deal 160k dmg....
I have a friend that we call Jason and what I find funny is that he does some weird that sometimes feels like a joke. He bought a game but barely played it, when I asked why doesn’t he play with us in the game he says he doesn’t like it and when I ask why he bought it he said “because there’s a voice actor that I really like in this game”. $60 just to support a voice actor when 90% if not all of it will be given to the publisher and developers. It felt like a joke when I heard that.

Now that i think about it, if his np is to summon the Argonauts, shouldn't he have an easy time beating Gil?
The Argonauts have to accept his invite to be summoned. Herakles and Medea Lily are guaranteed because they care about him, and Atlanta is easier to summon mostly because she wants to put a stop to whatever he's planning. Caenis, Asclepius, and the Dioscuri almost never respond, Circe and Chiron technically weren't Argonauts outside of gameplay, and adult Medea only responded during the Solomon singularity to help out Guda. We don't have any word on the non-summonable Argonauts like Peleus and Orpheus.
If Jason was fighting F/SN Gil who intended to wipe out humanity, most of the Argonauts would probably answer.

I am kind of excited for this guy to come out on NA. Medea is also one of my favorite servants, so I am also very biased and mostly want him for lore reasons. And I can't wait for the LB5 fight with him, because I want to see my Level 100 Medea beat him up for how he ruined her life.
