I really loved this video. My first language is French and I understood everything right the first time. The intonation is really perfect. The video is not explained too slowly to fall asleep nor too quickly to have trouble detecting words. I really liked the progression of the movements and the specificity of the explanations. This is seriously one of the best training technique videos I've listened to. Thank you very much.

I started working out in august with the same goal. I could not even do the passive hang on the bar. Even the inverted row was too dificult for me.
Now I'm on the eccentric only progression and I can hold my body on the top of the bar for some seconds, which it's already a huge improvement for me hahaha
I did not achieved my goal of doing my first chin up by december, but I did get stronger and I think I should be able to do it in 1-2 months :)

This is a big goal for me. I have never been able to do an unassisted chin up or pull up, but I set this goal for myself a while ago and want to follow through. This video was great, so I started doing the first exercise with the Smith machine at the gym. A couple issues I'm having: I can't get my body straight like you do, with heels on the floor and in a straight plank form. I have to bend my knees and try to keep my torso nice and straight. The other issue is I found that my right wrist bothered me when having my wrists face me. By having my grasp with wrists facing away from me, I was able to get halfway or more than halfway of my chest to the bar.
J, if you read all this, or anyone else with experience really.. any tips for me? Appreciate you always. 😊
