This great song is actually a cover as it was written by Karen Overton for her band Girl Called Johnny. They supported Texas on their last tour. I've seen GCJ twice and met Karen, as well as Sharleen. Overton co wrote The Conversation and Detroit City.
Great song-vast improvement on Lets Work It Out. More rock orientated and sounds not unlike Blondie-love the drums after the first chorus.Look forward to hearing it and lots of others live in September.
Try, try to figure Out what it all means That's a sunset song It's still a suburbia in dream You don't love her, no You couldn't couldn't possibly If you loved her You'd had for her to be so free And you know she's going out tonight To this city where there are bright headlights Maybe you go down and then make it alright Or just stay home and cry Why don't you tell her, tell that girl? You said forever ever ohohoh I'm taken over Raise to show how you feel But flowers died And you could never know what's real Oh why can't you see How it's meant to be? She says she loves you but He couldn't couldn't possibly And you know she's going out tonight To this city where there are bright headlights Maybe you go down and then make it alright Or just stay home and cry Why don't you tell her, tell that girl? You said forever ever ohohoh How is she suppose to know That we're meant to be together If you don't tell her Tell that girl You, you got tell her You gonna leave her You gonna leave her now You, you got tell her You gonna leave her You gonna leave her now Why don't you tell her, tell that girl? You said forever ever ohohoh How is she suppose to know That we're meant to be together If you don't tell her Tell that girl
Texas have Sharleens voice, which is timeless! And gives them their unique sound no matter what style they explore. Great track 😀
I can hear the dance remixes in my head now... The song also sounds like it could have been on "The Conversation."
LOVE IS LOVE (Xx's =WEE YIN'S) big hug's always for Sharleen & all the team who make up "Texas'the Band, they are No #1,. brilliant! xxx
A great, rocky track! Loved the first three albums especially. Rick's Road was incredibly underrated and had amazing vocals and bluesy tracks.
Antony Evans I miss Ricks Road's Texas

Great song-vast improvement on Lets Work It Out. More rock orientated and sounds not unlike Blondie-love the drums after the first chorus.Look forward to hearing it and lots of others live in September.

Try, try to figure
Out what it all means
That's a sunset song
It's still a suburbia in dream
You don't love her, no
You couldn't couldn't possibly
If you loved her
You'd had for her to be so free
And you know she's going out tonight
To this city where there are bright headlights
Maybe you go down and then make it alright
Or just stay home and cry
Why don't you tell her, tell that girl?
You said forever ever ohohoh
I'm taken over
Raise to show how you feel
But flowers died
And you could never know what's real
Oh why can't you see
How it's meant to be?
She says she loves you but
He couldn't couldn't possibly
And you know she's going out tonight
To this city where there are bright headlights
Maybe you go down and then make it alright
Or just stay home and cry
Why don't you tell her, tell that girl?
You said forever ever ohohoh
How is she suppose to know
That we're meant to be together
If you don't tell her
Tell that girl
You, you got tell her
You gonna leave her
You gonna leave her now
You, you got tell her
You gonna leave her
You gonna leave her now
Why don't you tell her, tell that girl?
You said forever ever ohohoh
How is she suppose to know
That we're meant to be together
If you don't tell her
Tell that girl

Ar fheabhas ar fad Failte ar ais Texas.
the girl with sensible shoes thinks she's got a grip she stands beside Malcolm i'll do anything for dosh Rifkind.....how much?
