Here's a good gameplay tip; if an enemy is chasing you and you're running away from it. Just jump forward and quickly press the roll button while you're in the air. Lara will flip around in mid-air and you can immediately target the enemy that's chasing you. You don't need to run around and turn to target it, just jump forward while running and quickly press the roll button, you have to do it kinda fast tho but this helps a lot in combat
Another tip I would recommend is to change your walk input, it's easier to have the walk button on the R1 and the look button on the L1, you can remap all your controls in the controls menu
There's indeed a huge controversy going on regarding Lara Croft and the Tomb Raider Franchise. Tomb raider was created by a British studio called Core Design, then the Americans came in and bought them out, from that moment on, the franchise went down hill. They americanized the game and the character of Lara Croft. Lara is a sassy, posh British adventurer, she's a badass femme fatale that gives no effs, but in the reboots they turned her into this emotional wreck with daddy issues that cries constantly, needs sidekicks to carry her and the worst thing of all, she apologizes for the artifacts she finds and hands them back to the indigenous people 😂 the game is called tomb raider, she shouldn't feel bad for raiding tombs, this is a videogame...what the hell is that about?! That's not Lara Croft, that's an imposter! Lara is not a hero trying to do the right thing, she goes on adventure and seeks out ancient treasure just for thrill of it. She doesn't even sound proper British in the reboots, it's just an American voice actress putting on an English accent but it sounds so fake, us Europeans can easily tell. Lara is a gymnast, she does handstands, backflips, acrobatic movements, she wields duel pistols or uzis, in the reboots she doesn't do anything but cry and uses a bow as her main weapon. If they would've called the reboots "Sarah Loft, the protector of artifacts", no one would care or get mad, but because they use the name Lara Croft and tomb raider so they can make more sales off her legacy and ruin her character, that's why we get mad. I grew up with Lara, I was 9 years old when I first saw her, she was my idol and I wanted to be like her. Girls looked up to her and were inspired by her, and boys loved her for her femme fatale looks and coolness. The reboot Lara is just a whiny crybaby, she's depressed and no one wants to be her and they even took away her curves and outfits, she's insufferable. Also, The classic games don't hold your hand, you have to figure it out yourself! That's how a game should be! In the reboots they have waypoints and tell you to go to a beam of light, they tell you where to jump by using paint on walls, then there's 5 hours of boring cutscenes no one cares about. It's just a walking simulator where they tell you what to do and they have you fight hundreds of soldiers in ultra HD graphics, it's just not tomb raider anymore. Imagine making a game called tomb raider and then make the character regret doing the actual raiding and cries about it. This game was created by Europeans, there's a lot of European history and mythology in these games, the atmosphere, the solitude, all of it is stripped away in the reboots.
@@georginagiethoorn6543 I know how you feel. I grew up in the 70’s and 80’s everything I love is ruined now. Star Wars, Indiana Jones, James Bond, comic books too, it’s sad. I am saving a lot of money lol.
@@Imcoming4_u I know, also, this is not a spoiler at all but in tomb raider 2, if you go to Lara's home, you can find her treasure room and trophy room where she stores all the artifacts she found on her previous adventures. She's proud of it and puts them on display, she's definitely not crying about it and giving them back to the indigenous people. According to the new American studios, this was problematic, they even had to put in a disclaimer saying they don't align with these views 😂 ffs, it's just a video-game. Imagine if they put up disclaimers in games like mortal kombat saying they don't align with violence, it's so silly

@@Oobe I’m going to try that. Square is my walk right now. Thanks.
@Imcoming4_u here's my control scheme: walk = R1, Jump = X, action = triangle, weapon = L2, Look = L1, Roll = O, Secondary (Shooting/grabbing) = R2
@ same except the walk. Not sure about R1 but I’ll take a look.

@ I saw that when I started the game. I just rolled my eyes. Tomb Raider 2 seems so far away to me right now.
