I’m really sorry to hear that you’re still feeling stuck on the struggle bus, Mike. Emotional times and tinnitus often go hand in hand, and it’s no easy road to navigate. Please know that what you’re feeling is valid, and you’re not alone in this journey.
If you’re open to it, there are strategies that can help make these tough times a little easier to manage. Even small steps like practicing mindfulness, journaling your feelings, or connecting with others who truly understand what you’re going through can make a big difference. My community, MyTinnitusClub, is a safe space where people share their experiences and support each other, and I’d love to see you there if you ever want to join.
Hang in there-you’re doing the best you can, and that’s something to be proud of. Sending you lots of strength! 😊

That sounds so frustrating, Patricia-I completely understand how disheartening it can feel when you’re having a good day, and then the tinnitus spikes out of nowhere. Those unexpected moments can really throw you off, especially when you’re not sure what triggered it.
Spikes like these are tough, but they often pass with time. In the moment, it might help to focus on grounding techniques or a calming activity, like listening to soothing background sounds, doing a bit of deep breathing, or even gently reminding yourself that this is temporary. Over time, learning to respond calmly to spikes can help reduce their impact and make them less distressing.
