DIY Raised Planter Box from CINDER BLOCKS

- This diy raised planter is fully made out of cinder blocks! These blocks are staked and then filled with dirt and rock. Traditionally you would pour a concrete footing and then stack the block, I wanted to see if it would work with rock and block adhesive. I love how it turned out and so far its doing amazing. If I were in a more wet area I would have installed a drain, we are in a pretty dry area and this dirt is mostly granite, clay and rock. I have found there isnt much settling that occurs in this area.

This is gorgeous !! I can only imagine if you had someone come in and do it. The cost would be costly I'm sure. Great job !!!
thank you for showing us all the steps and posting the things you used in the description 🙏🏾 💪🏾
Looks great! Adding stucco made a big difference. I've laid cinder block like that on a slope and it's no fun but the finished look is worth it.
Thanks so much! Yeah it’s a big job!
OMG! Love this. I’ve been wanting to do something like this in my small backyard. Thank you!
This is very pretty and looks simple enough to do. Thank you for sharing

Question, with only glue and stucco do you notice water seeping out of the walls?
Love it! And I love the dog in the exact same spot in the before and afyer lolol
This is great!
Simple but modern looking! I like it! 🙌🏻
Thank you! It was a big job but it turned out so pretty
@@EternalHarvestDecor Never knew cinder blocks could look so good! 😄

simply amazing
Thank you!

What vision you have! Big job to tackle, well done!
Great project and super helpful! Looking to do something similar with the CMU block as a support / retaining wall. (1) did you fill the blocks with gravel or anything before applying the top cap? (2) did you route the drip lines under the wall and if so did you use and tubing or protective barrier around them?
very cool. I've never done cmu with just adhesive only, does that work ok?
hello, I love your planter so much. Could you let me know which kind of rock base you used? could you give me a link to buy? thank you
I saw your post on Instagram so I came to your TH-cam channel to follow. 👍🏼👍🏼😂
Thank you!! So glad you’re here!
It looks great...How much gravel did you use?
I would love to do this ! Great job ! 😊You are so talented. Did you mention how long this project took you to complete?
Took me a few weeks of working in the afternoons
Very nice work! Inspiring! Have you noticed any cracks due to earth shifting?
Not yet! It’s only been a few months, but it’s frozen and thawed multiple times and so far so good
hiya. Are the blocks heavy?
🔥
Unfortunately without a deep footing of concrete supporting this, it will crack eventually if it has not already. But did look good at the completion.
No cracks yet, so far so good.
You go girllll xoxxo
this is awesome, exactly what i want and super easy to start! just have one question: what's the diff between sand base vs gravel base? thank you!
Sad would wash away and gravel if it’s drainage gravel allows the water to pass through

@@EternalHarvestDecor thank you!!!
How well has it held up after 8 months? Thinking of doing something similar.
Doing well! We actually got a lot more rain this year and it’s still looking good!
is that glue your using for outside just wondering very lovely job😀
Yes it’s actually specifically for paver and cinder blocks. It’s block adhe
How has the adhesive held up after a year ?
It’s been almost 2 years now and it’s doing super well! I just posted and update in shorts
It’s been a while since you built it. How’s it holding up? Make an update video please.
I built the same thing based on the video and mines cracking and starting to peel coming out of winter (Ohio)😢
May I ask how much this cost?
About $500 for materials includes dirt and flowers in my area
I need me a wife like her 😂💯🤷🏽♂️
Looks great!!
