      I'm saddened that I'm discovering all this information in my 50s. I have been spinning my wheels in as a Physical Therapist (with a Bachelors of Business Degree and a Bachelors of Science Degree) for the past 24 years who has met a plateau in income which does not seem to be changing. Because I've always enjoyed being a clinician and working directly with my patients (mostly Seniors/Geriatrics) - I chose not to go into management. With that meant not becoming skilled in Microsoft Office. The question now is -- Is it too late. Do I have to obtain a Masters Degree or are there Healthcare Consultant companies that will look at my experience as a clinician and see that as having any value without the Tech/IT knowledge combined?

      A classic misunderstanding of what being an introvert means, it’s a common misconception but categorically wrong nevertheless. So what introverts don’t speak ? Or share their opinion ? Or have enough confidence to comment on a TH-cam video ? If it wasn’t obvious - all these are ridiculous assumptions, introverts are just recharged by alone time and are dispositioned towards being introspective and feel more fulfilled when they have significant time to themselves. They need to reflect constantly and are more observant of themselves and explore their inner world profoundly more so than interpersonal relations they are concerned more so with the relation with the “self”.
      It’s not equivalent to being shy or soft spoken, lacking confidence or being scared of social interactions. So an introvert, while they prefer to observe and listen before speaking, can absolutely still be a true introvert while being opinionated, outgoing, confident, socially engaged and outspoken. Especially enough to simply comment on a TH-cam video, I think people confuse introverted with having crippling social anxiety which is absolutely not true.

    I'm an introvert also, but for me its way worse than most here... I have health issues like partial seizures, Crohn's disease, High blood pressure. I'm also a shy and anxious type of introvert. Education was always super tough for me and I was mostly considered educationally retarded as classrooms were fast paced and I wanted to learn everything in the book, opposed to what the teacher wanted us to know. During exams, I would forget everything and my mind would stall. I had to sometimes take that same class twice to pass. Now at almost 35, I have no career and only have like 6 (AA) degrees in Business lol. At first when I started college I was thinking of being an RN nurse, but couldn't get into the RN program as my GPA was less than 3.2. I could've repeated those classes to bring my grade up, but decided not to as I was always squeamish of veins/blood which is called Venephobia. Then I spent a number of years trying to take higher level classes to transfer. Afterwards, went to a State University which was expensive and I got a "D" in General physics, and was thinking it would be cheaper to take higher level classes back in college... Tried higher level Math and Chemistry, but just couldn't pass them. That's when I started taking Business courses. Last time I was in college was in 2019 before the plandemic and since haven't done anything except work part time in GIG delivery. The problem is that my Crohn's disease creates strong fatigue and I have to rest throughout the day. This prevents me from actually getting a normal job, plus my seizures usually get triggered from the smallest things and they become epileptical for 20 seconds. Sometimes I can control them, but I get them more around people. Anyone else have something that keeps them from working, as I'm sure that I'm not the only one that is having trouble fitting in at any work. I heard there are home jobs, but not sure how they work or if they are legit. If anyone works from home, then please tell me how its going and how to find information on it as I know there are many scams out there, and I'm just tired of that nowadays.

    So Psychiatry is NOT good for someone who is introverted necessarily as it requires a LOT of person to person communications and interactions. Also, Psychiatry can be a bit dangerous as you’re dealing with patients who are some times violent and may attack you. Granted in an inpatient facility the damage you suffer can be minimized. Additionally, the average salary for Psychiatry as of 2020 is $297,166. Some better Doctor specialties for an introvert would be Radiology which as of 2020 averages $485,460 or Pathology which as of 2020 averages $340,873.

    • @dominionbeats
      @dominionbeats 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @T M Psychiatry involves a lot more than listening to people talk. Regardless, people need to know that it is not what they think it is. Often people confuse Psychiatry with Psychology and they just think of a therapist.

    • @CadaverQT
      @CadaverQT 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@dominionbeats I've had multiple psychiatrists. At the university setting, her office resembled the counselors' and she talked briefly about the same issues my therapists (a LCSW and psychologist) did. She prescribed medicine and would ask questions about how they were working, but otherwise identical work. The psychiatrists in the psych ward met with me even more briefly and talked mostly of medicines I'd tried. It's not as emotionally taxing as being a therapist, I would think, but they were *ALL* introverted as far as I could tell.

    If the city would take all that you need and you would keep the rest. First , it would be cheaper, more affordable. Only one place. Rent/Mortgage Taxes + Energy (Oil/Gas or Electricity) + Internet + Repairs = Stores would be opened and more understood for what they bring forward. More consumers would have money for restaurants and for entertainment. For pleasure is for only a few people. Not us. Only you. There is little to more money in everyone's pocket. If I could make $200K per year, I would like the city to be there for me. Do you offer this?

      I am an health insurance agent (focusing on medical assistance) and it suits me well. Having to deal with some very difficult medical situations allows you to think so much about others that you can forget about yourself
