That's been my play ground for a long time. Put in at Everglades city and paddle down to Flamingo on the outside route ( 100 miles ). Racoons will be everywhere and get into everything. On the outside route expect Dolphins to tag along and an occasional sea turtle to look you over. When one sea turtle came up next to my canoe and snorted I about jumped out of the canoe. At Flamingo turn around , resupply and paddle the inside route back to Everglades city ( 100 miles ) for a fun trip. Along the inside route you will have Gators following you , sharks looking at you and Racoons at every ground site or chickee that backs up to the mangroves. Even when solo padding you are never alone. Not sure if he is still there but at the Cane Patch , Albert ( Gator ) will greet you and hang around the dock all the time you are camping there. The tree near my tent was a Screech Owl nest and they talked back and forth all night long. The Cane Patch has a lot of critters.
Nice change of pace Dick.
Anyone interested in south Florida history will find the documentary "Square Grouper" fascinating.
Probably too cold for those reptilian critters! Hope you brought your snow shoes!😂 love your stuff!
@@oyster_3694 Spent over weeks hiking and paddling the glades. Some nice warm days, some cold rainy days. But few critters. Keep Smilin'

@Oldsparkey Did have a screech owl, but found it eerily quiet, and a lack of critters. But beautiful. Keep Smilin'
Some serious chop. Hope you don't have a flat on the way out.
@@timtimmytimbo Yes, a flat would be bad!
