      The rural areas are especially hard hit by the decline in tourism due to the pandemic, so they will welcome visitors.

    This video is perfect in every way! Wish I could see this place! I read that not only railroads but also other aspects of the Japanese culture are in danger of disappearing because the population is getting old and there aren't many children being born and, besides that, 91% of the population is now living in big cities.

    • @transitjourney
      @transitjourney  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for always watching!
      You're right, there's a huge population decline especially in rural areas. Every station on this line has a few to a dozen people, most of them are high school students. If they graduate and leave for the city, this line will lose its value of existence.

  • @roboftherock
    @roboftherock ปีที่แล้ว

    That idea of a 'visitor's book' at a rural railway station is either unique at best or a very novel idea. Can't recall any other travel vlogger featuring one. Those vast areas of frozen lake and ocean were stunning, even frightening in a way. I was initially irritated at the intrusion of a music soundtrack, but you chose well. The irritation was brief. I can't blame you for hurrying back to the warmth of the bus. I'll never be able to travel there, so I thank you for doing so. Sayonara, is that the correct expression?

    • @transitjourney
      @transitjourney  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for your honest feedback.
      I understand that people have their own tastes in music and that there are those who say it is unnecessary. However, travel and music are inseparable for me and I have settled on my current style, which is not overly attached it.

    Why this is sadly true :") I always wonder how local transportation in rural Japan always struggling to have any passenger, and it's always concerning on how they will survive the future when the population number is decreasing. I think travel videos like this is a good way to attract tourist to support these local lines.
