Dusan Kranjc joined 2CELLOS in 2011. As a 21-year-old drummer/percussionist from Croatia, he stood out and impressed wide audiences with high-energy characteristic playing, versatility, and showmanship. I think he only appeared in the live concerts. The bows are made of horse hair and yeah they're shredding them. not twins, just friends, are a Croatian cellist duo, consisting of classically trained cellists, Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser.
Omg you found 2cellos! I was so friggin sad when they split, but they came back together & are on their final tour together now. Lol they're not related! They're from Croatia. Now I wish you could have seen them live because their shows? Sick sick SICK! SIIIIIICK
Violinist here🙂 They use a bow to create vibration through friction on the strings. That's how they create sound. The bow is strung with (usually) horse hair. It has a tendancy to come loose if you put a lot of pressure on it. Most professional string players have their bows restrung every 6 months or so or after a performance like this. These guys are awesome!
I learned about them (and Pentatonix) from my child. She had amazing music teachers, all the way from 5th grade when she started band, through her Senior year of high school. This is the kind of stuff she’d come home having seen, and would make us pull it up on the internet to show us. She’s starting college in the fall…to study music. 🥰
I remember when I first found this years ago. 2 hot guys, in costumes, playing cellos. What more could I ask for? I always hoped to see them in concert. Thanks for this one, makes me laugh every time. Try their version of Smooth Criminal.
This group of Acapella fans in your fam are generally music afficianados.lol. We dive in where others may not bother and find true gems to share with one another. Glad you watched this one.❤️
The drummer appears in most of their live performances and his name is Dusan Kranjc. He is phenomenal! Watch them do Thunderstruck live and you will definitely hear him .
The reason the horsehair bow shreds more than usual against the metal strings is the extra pressure used to play multiple strings at once. Guitar strings are laid out at the same height to make chords esdier. But a cello has a curved bridge separating the strings to be easier to play one at a time, the way cello music is usually written. These guys use a lot of pressure to play multiple strings at once. Something else about cellos, unlike guitars they are NOT fretted, so playing one like a guitar means they don't have a fret cue to know where finger placement is. The player just needs to know.
I knew you'd love this. I also knew you'd watch it before you read the 8,432 suggestions to react to it. 😅 Kid in a candy store LOL. Great reaction. Commented on them on first video. By the way I was one of the 8, 432 😎
Stjepan Hauser, on the left, is from Croatia. Luka Sulic, can’t think of where he’s from at the moment, but I think he moved to Croatia as a kid. They both have been classically trained as children and used to compete against each other. Stjepan says they still compete and you can see it. LOL. They finally joined forces. They covered Smooth Criminal and that’s their video on TH-cam and someone who knew Elton John showed it to him, he loved it and invited them on tour with him. The rest is history. I saw them live in Texas a few years ago and I loved it.
First Time I saw these guys was on an episode of Glee. They accompanied two singers performing Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal. I fell in love. The shredded things they are using are Bows (like bow and arrow not bow of a ship). Bows are strung with horse hair. Bow sare used to play Violins, Violas, Cello's and similar Instruments. When playing vigorously the strands of hair will break.
Croatian cellist duo, consisting of classically trained cellists, Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser. they blew Elton John's Mind. Elton John asked the duo to appear with him on his 2011 summer tour !
These men are fantastic. I am a bit older and I love some classical, and my mother I law played the cello. These guys just blew my mind when I first heard them. You need to check out their Whole Lotta Love, yep the Led Zeppelin song. You are going to love them more and more. Lol
I love that you have discovered them!! Smooth criminal is probably my favorite that they did. There are two versions one is just them and the second is the one they did on glee with grant Gustin and Naya Rivera and they are both absolutely stunning.
My introduction to 2 cellos was a PBS special live performance. I was blown away, cello is my favorite instrument and their performance was not my expectation.
Their bow strings do get shredded after awhile... :D I seem to recall hearing that they have to use at least 3 different bows (or restring them at least 3 times) during a concert. :D
Love 2 Cellos! They did a tour where they opened up for Elton John. They had to do encore songs as just opening acts everyone loved them! All their videos are fire!
I googled them. Elton John found them. They are touring Europe as we speak and the drummer is now a feature on a lot of their music. I watch you all the time but never comment.....😒
You definitely gotta check out a couple more from them, The Trooper Overture (Iron Maiden cover) and Whole Lotta Love (Led Zeppelin cover) those two go just as hard as this one. They’re amazing!
Immediately ordered their latest cd with "Living on the Prayer" (fantastic video), "Dream On" (after seeing them perform with Steven Tyler on a video). My daughter loves Nirvana and went crazy when I showed this to her.
Oh and yes the bows they use are made of Horse Hair, so as they go nuts with them the threads tend to break, but there are hundreds of strands of hair so it doesn't effect the bow strength. I've watched most of their video's and I've not yet seen them get down to a bow that's unusuable.
Their video of Smooth Criminal made them a hit on YT in 2011. They're Croatian (although one of them was born in his mother's country of Slovenia) and not related. I have over 40 of their video on my video playlist and I hope you can continue reacting to them with my favorites... Seven Nation Army, The Godfather Theme (this one tell a nice little story), Whole Lotta Love vs. Beethoven Fifth Symphony, and The Trooper Overture (Official Video). Enjoy!
Tere is a live concert from roman theater in Verona, Italy with all three guys, its like 2 hours, but amazing to see them live, the drummer is fantastic live as you know.
More!!! I’ve watched your reactions to these guys more than a few times and I pick out a new look of shock and awe on your face every time. Check out: smooth Criminal, With or Without You, Back in Black… there are so many good songs they do. If you get a chance to watch Live at the Sydney Opera House in full, I highly recommend it. It’s some really beautiful music. Much love, SauceyDad!! ❤️❤️
One comment I seen on a different reaction of this is they are using the cello like a guitar but unlike a guitar there are no frets to guide you of your finger placement if necessary, this is some RIDICULOUS muscle memory !! Love your PTX reactions and love these reactions to these 2 amazing musicians!
Two extremely talented - and sexy - cellists having some fun with a rock song. That's what's happening. :) Those things are bows and yes they're being shredded in this one. It doesn't usually happen. :) Maybe check out the Badpiper playing Thunderstruck on flaming bagpipes. Literally. We're just widening your horizons. :)
5:05 ... Music Magic For your own personal enjoyment .. listen to their cover of Ed Sheeran's Perfect. Perhaps the most inpiring, soothing, amazing, perfect piece of any music I have ever heard. It literally makes you want to dance and cry at the same time ... and I'm a 50 year old grandfather ... Also, for background, go watch the elton john interview for 2 Cellos .. pretty interesting.
Hahaaa GOTCHA 😁🤗 they GOT me too 😄 I could say a lot about this but I think others have already done that…but. Take a look at The Danish National symphony orchestra playing “ The good The bad And the Ugly”. Thanks for a Great reaction…FUN 👍🥰
I do like this version a lot. There is also a Bluegrass version of this song done by Finnish group Steve'N'Seagulls. You should definitely do a reaction to that as well.
You have to see Trooper Overture and Highway To Hell ft. Steve Vai. Then checkout Wake Me Up (Aviici) and Whole Lotta Love. And they don't just do Rock anthems, they also do movie themes that are awesome... check out Gladiator or Schindler's List.
In all of my 74years on this earth have NEVER heard anything so freaking awesome ! To say I was gob smacked would be an understatement...Have no words ..!
Dude, youv'e gotta hear their Beethoven's 5th/Whole Lotta Love mash up. It is insanely impressive. Also, um, if you like rock/metal and cellos -- check out Apocalyptica.
Charlie Daniels used to shred bows every concert, so it's not unusual if you play hard. I just can't imagine having to buy new bow strings that often. Love the teaction, Saucey. Peace out!
I found them after I had found Apocalyptica. I do like them, but I favor Apocalyptica a bit more. If you check out Apocalyptica, I would suggest a few songs. "Broken Pieces", "Live or Die", "The Unforgiven", or "Battery". Just to start. The drummer in the band can also play Cello.
My dream collaboration.....2 Cellos with Kevin Olusola.....can you imagine that trio playing...anything?!?!?
And Lindsey Stirling!!!!
OMG 😱😱 YES!!!! to all of this combo

I read a joke comment below another 2cellos video, that these two left quite a few horses short tailed during their career :D
They go through 4-5 bows each concert!
@@BGNewsReporter I believe it! I want to know how may Red Bulls they go through each concert🤣🤣🤣
The cello is and has been for many years my favorite instrument. I was NOT prepared for this either the first time I heard it 😆.
I am laughing so hard and you are just at the beginning 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂
I learned about them (and Pentatonix) from my child. She had amazing music teachers, all the way from 5th grade when she started band, through her Senior year of high school. Seen in concert opening for Elton John . They are awesome
To answer your question, what you heard in your ear holes was pure genius talent. Absolute craziness in the best way possible. Great reaction!
Not twins, just both exceptionally handsome, lol.
This group of Acapella fans in your fam are generally music afficianados.lol. We dive in where others may not bother and find true gems to share with one another. Glad you watched this one.❤️
The drummer appears in most of their live performances and his name is Dusan Kranjc. He is phenomenal! Watch them do Thunderstruck live and you will definitely hear him
.
The feet stomping, the hair flying, the spinning on the floor...so entertaining! I would comment on the talent but why state the obvious?
When ever people discover such famous artist, I admit I don't understand how they haven't heard about them before

It’s a wide world of music out there 😆 and I think the word you was looking for, what was happening in your earholes is ”eargasm”
You finally found those incredibly talented two guys.... yay you - and yay us! I love your reactions! Do their "Trooper"!!!!!
I love your reaction to both of the 2 Cello videos you have done now...
I knew you'd love this. I also knew you'd watch it before you read the 8,432 suggestions to react to it. 😅 Kid in a candy store LOL. Great reaction. Commented on them on first video. By the way I was one of the 8, 432 😎
5:01 Awesomeness, that's what!

Luka is Slovenian
Thunderstruck... with two cellos... to a renaissance crowd.

I've seen 1,000 reaction videos online. Loved this one the way you interact and the powerful visual of you brain just milting several times.
Croatian cellist duo, consisting of classically trained cellists, Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser.
they blew Elton John's Mind. Elton John asked the duo to appear with him on his 2011 summer tour !

I stayed to the end, just because you were saying, "Get out." 😂
My introduction to 2 cellos was a PBS special live performance. I was blown away, cello is my favorite instrument and their performance was not my expectation.
After seeing the first reaction to them I have been watching all day for this reaction!! Loved it
You know what's going on right now...i'll tell you...Talent is happening right now. 😏😁👍.
It is extremely funny watching you trying to figure out what in the heck is happening. Just set back and enjoy.
Hauser & Sulic (cellos) and Dusan Kranjc (drummer) all from Croatia.
These guys are soooooo so good. Live, they’re incredible. So happy you’re getting into their music, SauceyDaddaayyy!! ☺️
Their bow strings do get shredded after awhile... :D I seem to recall hearing that they have to use at least 3 different bows (or restring them at least 3 times) during a concert. :D
A quick fun fact. Sir Elton John had them tour with him, until they became too big and now play to sold out arenas etc..
Love 2 Cellos! They did a tour where they opened up for Elton John. They had to do encore songs as just opening acts everyone loved them! All their videos are fire!
My first and favorite exposure to them was their version of Smooth Criminal (their video, not the Glee version). Totally worth a reaction!
The Cellos are amazing! So fun to watch!!🎻❤🎻❤
Horsehair bows. They are shredding, but it's not uncommon for the hair to break. Not usually that fast under normal use...
Immediately ordered their latest cd with "Living on the Prayer" (fantastic video), "Dream On" (after seeing them perform with Steven Tyler on a video). My daughter loves Nirvana and went crazy when I showed this to her.

Love these guys!!!
When i saw that video the first time (a couple of months ago) i was blown away. In my opinion it is their best work so far...
Their video of Smooth Criminal made them a hit on YT in 2011. They're Croatian (although one of them was born in his mother's country of Slovenia) and not related. You should see their live version, the drummer is there too. It’s awesome!
lol!! You are such a joy to watch....and no....nothing you hear them play will EVER sound right, unless it is their version. ❤
Tere is a live concert from roman theater in Verona, Italy with all three guys, its like 2 hours, but amazing to see them live, the drummer is fantastic live as you know.
Loved your way to describe this duo...hilarious and SO TRUE!!!
not twins born in different towns in Croatia . They met at a master class in Pula while still in their teens.
I loved watch8ng them play Back in Black. Read that AC/DC watched this and LOVED IT! How cool is that? Loved your meltdown! ❤😂
Next I suggest you watch/react to their collab with Steve Vai on "Highway To Hell" 😎.
More!!! I’ve watched your reactions to these guys more than a few times and I pick out a new look of shock and awe on your face every time. Love your PTX reactions and love these reactions to these 2 amazing musicians!
You didn't just get slapped here, you got yo face melted... LOL That was epic!
10:58 Me either when I first heard that I didn’t even know the cello could be played like that 😂😂
2 cellos and Piano guys really got me into purely instrumental music. I recommend 2 cellos Highway to Hell, great video amazing song.😍
Your face is PRICELESS! Best reaction to this, period!
Two extremely talented - and sexy - cellists having some fun with a rock song. That's what's happening. :) Those things are bows and yes they're being shredded in this one. Link? Oh please, LINK
The Drummer in the previous video is Dušan Kranjc, but normally it's just the 2 guys playing Cello. He is an awesome Drummer though!
5:05 ... Music Magic
For your own personal enjoyment .. listen to their cover of Ed Sheeran's Perfect. Perhaps the most inpiring, soothing, amazing, perfect piece of any music I have ever heard. It literally makes you want to dance and cry at the same time ... and I'm a 50 year old grandfather ...

Smooth Criminal is also great by them
😱 brilliant
The music and the vocals as well! Out freaking standing. \
I do like this version a lot. There is also a Bluegrass version of this song done by Finnish group Steve'N'Seagulls. You should definitely do a reaction to that as well.
This was mind blowing. Just wondering if Thunderstruck could be converted into an acapella arrangement? VoicePlay. Geoff on the low notes.
They are Luca Sulic and Hauser and they are incredible.
Talent at its best
You have to see Trooper Overture and Highway To Hell ft. Steve Vai. Then checkout Wake Me Up (Aviici) and Whole Lotta Love. And they don't just do Rock anthems, they also do movie themes that are awesome... check out Gladiator or Schindler's List.
In all of my 74years on this earth have NEVER heard anything so freaking awesome ! To say I was gob smacked would be an understatement...Have no words ..!
These two are mind blowing. If you like Slipknot, especially the drummer, then you NEED to check out Caleb H's cover of "Eyeless".
there are 3 full concerts on their official yt channel, hours of musical enjoyment
LMAO----dude you need to really see them live..."Thunderstruck at "2cellos at the Arena di Verona"
Now hear them play the Theme from "Schindlers List". Heart-breaking awesome.
Maybe someone said it already. The drummer in 2cellos is Dusan Kranjc. insane guy in their live performance.
Yay!!!!♥️ So so good!!!!
I know they are insane! Great reaction!❤️❤️ Also, see you and Saucy Mom on 6/19!!👋👋
Dude, youv'e gotta hear their Beethoven's 5th/Whole Lotta Love mash up. It is insanely impressive. Also, um, if you like rock/metal and cellos -- check out Apocalyptica.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣so glad you enjoyed it. I know I did.
You ROCK Saucey Dad!!
4:55 Awesomeness. That is what is happening to your earholes.
They are just good friends
Your ears are having eargasms.
Charlie Daniels used to shred bows every concert, so it's not unusual if you play hard. I just can't imagine having to buy new bow strings that often. Love the teaction, Saucey. Peace out!
Love the reaction, Average cost to rehair a cello bow is about 70 dollars each, not counting costs to replace parts of the bow from undue stress lol.
There is twin harp players that does all kinds of rock covers on the harp. Camille and Kennerly is the channel name. Check them out.
I have always liked these guys they are great. Your reaction was something else and Mitch wasn’t even there.
Drummer Dušan Kranjc joined them in 2011
The bow is made of horse hair treated with rosin, so yes the strands do break.
The way they saw through their bow strings, they must have to invest in a whole horse ranch to provide the hair for replacements, lol.
If you REALLY want to blow your mind...
The guy on the left is HAUSER, and you NEED to hear his version of WICKED GAME (RED DRESS VERSION!) 🤣
Yes!!!! ❤❤❤
Reality says hell yeah it’s music
a sharp turn down thunder road.
Greatings from Croatia 🇭🇷🇭🇷🇭🇷
