Being a male ballet dancer myself it makes me so happy to see these children so open to learning about this art form, especially the boys, when i was in middle school the people usually teasing me were boys, and it was out of complete ignorance, they thought ballet was for girls and that it was easy, when in reality it is anything but that, i wish more boys had respect for ballet like these kids do, it would make the lives of aspiring male dancers soooooooo much easier

She says her feet are gross but she doesn't insist on the ugliness that came of the practice so she is only informing the kids, she isn't really encouraging them nor discouraging them to follow a dance career. She is only stating the facts.

Ballerinas foot is fucking real. It is nasty. I used to do ballet had to quit and get surgery in my fucking foot. Mine was never that bad compared to some all ot did was shift my bone structure
leave me same. I’ve been en pointe for almost 6 years now (started at 11 yrs.) and the bones in my left foot have all shifted and my big toe is pointed to the left (bunion). I love it though, I couldn’t imagine life without it

I male friend of mine did ballet his entire youth then in his mid 20s transitioned to kick boxing he made it to World championship level in just a few years. You can so easily transition to so many sports from a ballet or gymnastic background.

I was bullied my whole life until one day my teacher said that we had to show the class our talent in dancing and I did ballet while on point and ever since that day I haven’t been bullied.

I did ballet when I was in high school to help with my foot work in football our head coach recommended it and it worked wonders got all state as a wide receiver because of it

I male friend of mine did ballet his entire youth then in his mid 20s transitioned to kick boxing he made it to World championship level in just a few years. You can so easily transition to so many sports from a ballet or gymnastic background.
