That explains why whenever there is a serious crash while racing the seats doesnt get destroyed and its the only part with damages but survives. And maybe the game made it so like how car seats have seat belts and an airbag in the steering which is safer. But who knows why

It’s worth it to go to all the events they have and collect all the seats and stickers. You don’t have to place on any leader boards, you just have to be present and participate and I really like that because you don’t have to be any good to still win the event prizes. The devs make this game extremely fair for everyone to have fun at their only level or skill set.
Could you imagine being in first person and watching in pure shock as a normally deadly shot flies right by your eyes, at a rate only surpassed by the rate at which your whole life flashes by your eyes? Surviving that kind of miss would automatically make you immune to any surprises, plot twists, and even the deadliest foes and forces you may face.
My guess is the car seat has lower health due to the expectation that it will be fully enclosed within a vehicle while the other seats are somewhat designed to be either partially or fully exposed

Honestly, I think the car seat is made stronger against melee where the armor seat is stronger against projectiles. It could also be a hitbox issue with the seat's hitbox front to back being small enough that the hit reg doesn't work quite right or just not have enough time to react to the impact.
I think because the car seat is new they just forgot that the new standard for seats is 1000 health and set it to 500 health, which was the norm before

I think this could be a video in itself, but you could build a trebuchet, or a linear launcher with speed control (maybe using logic) to launch the seats by themselves at a wall, and then maybe we would find out what is needed to break the drivers seat

I think the car seat just has specially bs collision hitboxes and cannot take impact damage when it is thr object colliding, but can from impact damage that spreads.

Only based off of the info in this video, I believe that the armored seat is supposed to be invincible to collision, while the car seat is supposed to break.
Yeah Scrapman, I'd like you to test something, which is this slightly more thoroughly. Just about every seat now has a passenger option. Does that change anything about them? Also, would putting the seats for impact on steering hinges help. I know there's that damage glitch where it's really difficult to destroy steering hinges, but that's kind of what you want. You want damage to not go past the impacting seat and stay within it. So maybe revisit it with that. But also revisit this trying out passenger versions to see if that makes any difference. Also see if they have different armor values against the EMP. Mass EMP impacts in rapid succession can cause damage.
I believe the reason why the driving seat takes less impact damage is because it's essentially the core functions of the seat, while most other seats have the function plus a bit of form. Like it's the difference between a frame work and a frame work with body paneling. The driving seat is the framework and the others are the frame work+body paneling. There's more to the other seats, which means they've got "more armor/mass" against projectiles. However, the driving seat is more or less supposed to be able to transform a space into a "seat" if that makes any sense. It's the function being slapped in with none of the form of the other seats and that's why in collisions, the other seats are weaker. It's the form of the seats that take collision damage and the form of the racing seat is the entire body of the vehicle it's on. It's probably taking "comparable" damage to the frame parts it's attached to as the other seats are. That's another thing to possibly test. And I'd test it vs gravity. I know that can give weird results for terrain, but it's consistent and will allow you to repeat a setup of nosediving seats.

It could be separate evolutionary paths (each player sticks with the same plane they had from the start but changes it each round) so that there's more diversity and like reactionary evolution and stuff Eg if your opponent uses thrust vectoring, next round you could put on an emp instead of an extra smart cannon
One test I would think to be interesting to test would be how vehicle weight affects damage. After all, energy = mass * speed^2 Do you get similar damage from a slower vehicle with proportionally more mass? And how does that apply to terrain vs. creation on creation collisions. Does a light vehicle get totally demolished if hit by one with significantly more mass?

The new car seat is weird. I play on PlayStation 5 and I built a big bomber using that seat. Sometimes I crash it to test the plane durability into a mountain and everything shatters except the most fragile looking seat. 🤣😂
I think the collision damage didn’t work with the car seat because you are in it. You’re character could be cushioning the car seat unlike the go cart seat having one part of it extended outwards.
If the car seat is invulnerable to collisions... what if all the connecting blocks for a car are made of car seats? Does the car become close to invulnerable to physical damage outside of the functionality parts?

If you can disable drag, then dropping a seat from height would be the most consistent way to test impact resistance.
Maybe if you build a car seat luncher you could test the damage collision against a wall with equal strenght for comparision

connections can break too, so when armored seats were indestructible, 2 placed together could break apart
