Mid to late 70s feathering...love it!!! I had my hair like that back then. I'm not sure my stylist knows how to cut my hair like this, but I'll definitely show her this video and watch her like a hawk. If this is cut well, it should last for months and still look great. Thanks for sharing. ✌
This is how I have been having my hair cut since 1974. Only the last two years I have not had it cut for personal reasons. Now after two years of growing I am going to cut it again. Gulp.... By myself. Worried since the hair is so long now that I may mess up.only I have no one to doit with this lockdown.
I love it! THANK YOU. I've been wanting this information all my life. I took my 10yo on his birthday downtown assuming the barbershop could handle this. AND NOOO. CUT A NOTCH OUT OF HIS FRONT GAVE HIM UNEVEN BANGS. Now we wait for it to grow again. Thank you. Next time I will save my 20$.
I'm just impressed by how accurately you are flipping that scissors with one hand like a pro. But do the clients not complain about that flip cause they might be afraid of getting cut?
Again you demonstrated the layering I like personally and highly prefer on the thinning techniques to get more volume.. This specific layering is building with harmony.. Yes eighties or late seventies even.. Erik Estrada.. Lorenzo lamas..
I LOVVEEE THIS! You have to be the only youtuber stylist who does PERFECT 80'S hair!!! Even my own stylist (who I went to HS with.. in the 80's!) NEVER does 100% what I ask! The only haircut I like is the Farrah cut... nope I dont like change lol AND I still like my highlights & lowlights! It's just that NOW it involves a sh!t-ton more gray coverage 🙄😂😂😂 Lucky for me, I found your channel! I'm going to end up cutting my own hair very soon!! 😉👍
Hi Stephen, I use to be a cosmetologist, but..I need U-tube video to help better educate me on hair cuts like your. Thank you for this. I like the stylist like you take the time and patience to help us all better understand these cuts. Again thank you.
I was a teen in the 80s. A lot of girls wore the Farrah Faust haircut. It never orked on my hair because I have naturally curly hair. It has lost a little of the curls since I'm turning gray, but it is still curly. In order to reduce bulk and control frizzy unruly hair. I get my hair layered. Itvis getting harder to find a good stylist that knows how to layer.
I’m learning so much from you! Thanks for the great videos. I’m wondering now how to achieve this layered look along with an over-the-ear cut. I guess I’m wondering how to blend (connect?) hair that’s shorter over the ear and gets longer (and layered) toward the top. Hope that made sense😊 Thanks again!
Hey ho! Since a few weeks I am a big fan of your videos! Your tips and tutorials help a lot... I actually already cut my own hair because of the virus and the fact that every salon closed in my town. I am also a big fan of undercuts (your personal favourite :'D). I cut my sides to 0.12 Inches. I dont know If thats a thing... I use centimetres here in Germany. My goal is to grow out my hair at the top very long while the sides are getting buzzed every time. My Idol on that is the WWE wrestler "Aleister Black" Therefore, could you make a video about Aleister Blacks haircut? Especially how to cut and style? I know.... Undercut again. But that one is pretty special in my eyes.
This was very helpful, thank you! Would you be interested in showing us a "Viking haircut"? I get kids asking for this and I guess it is based on a TV show? Any ideas?
Yes can you pretty please show how to get the long layered look only on the top n front to get the outside layer of frizz off of a VERY long thick wavy head of red hair.
TheSalonGuy it’s so hard having long thick curly hair. It feels like the outside layer is too dry. Well water. Ugh! The underneath parts aren’t like that though. Thank you so much for answering me. I like your videos :)
Can you do the haircut of Hutch from Starsky ond Hutch the 2004 Version. And if you do this haircut would it work on wavy hair ??? Btw. Love your Vids keep going😂😎😇
My phone was playing up so most of the spelling in my last message was bad my name is Patricia I live in Southampton I am a layer person I’ve always loved layers My hairstyle consist of layers all over and looks lovely after a perm but when I go to a hairdresser they cut it so short in the front and the layers are so bad I wish I had a hairdresser like you
I got a messed buzz cut back in October and I’ve been letting it grow, and I’ve noticed that cowlicks have been sticking up as of late. Do you think I should cut it or just let it grow out and comb it? Pls answer
I would give anything to have a hairdresser like you you know exactly what you’re on about I’ve never seen such beautiful layering whenever I have my hair done they always cut it too short in the front and the layers are so uneven it makes me not want to go out the door my hairstyle has layers all over and I tomg it to make it look nice I would give anything to have an address like you
I will always spam till I get SHERLOCK HOLMES from Benedict Cumberbatch And As always you surprise us like thanks to you my hair is better than it used to be. Keep it up
I love this kind of haircut, Don Johnson used to have something similar in Miami Vice.

I love this look! I have preferred it most of my adult life. Why should a fabulous hair cut ever go out of style? Thanks for sharing

I love the cut! It's the way I used to wear in the 80's
I can’t wait to grow my hair like this or the 90.s Leo look

Would I still be able to get this same type of movement and body in my hair if I have naturally fine and dead straight hair?
Kinda yes it’s all about the haircut and straight hair is perfect for it.
@@TheSalonGuy Thank you very much! Love your content btw, it's really fascinating to watch and understand hair better :)

Thank you for sharing this video, I wish my hair would layer as such, but I haven't had my hair done since late February.! So it's gotten very long.

Came here after the srk video and I'm still amazed to see you speak Hindi 😁
Thankyou for explaining

Live this video, thank you,!
Yes can you pretty please show how to get the long layered look only on the top n front to get the outside layer of frizz off of a VERY long thick wavy head of red hair.
That’s more styling than cutting. Haircuts don’t remove frizz.

I don’t like thinning out or razor cut , I like blunt cut
could you show Michael Yorks haircut from "Logan`s Run"?
Thanks, what about the back? Liked this you were very focused!

I got a messed buzz cut back in October and I’ve been letting it grow, and I’ve noticed that cowlicks have been sticking up as of late. Do you think I should cut it or just let it grow out and comb it? Pls answer
Not sure it’s going to have to go through a sticking up phase if u are growing it out
TheSalonGuy Thanks, so I presume I’ll let it grow and possibly straighten or cut it
I always think the lovely layers at the side resemble a bird's wing

GaryGuevara yes very true ! Lol
Why dose my hair naturally get like this even if my barber don’t really understand or do layer at all
Would it work for wavy hair?! My hair is also frizzy
I would give anything to have a hairdresser like you you know exactly what you’re on about I’ve never seen such beautiful layering whenever I have my hair done they always cut it too short in the front and the layers are so uneven it makes me not want to go out the door my hairstyle has layers all over and I tomg it to make it look nice I would give anything to have an address like you
Thank you for this. This is kinda how my hair looks right now. Can I create an undercut without messing with the top?
