Teixeira? Eu estou fazendo minha árvore e temos teixeira conectado a reis de Portugal e Espanha.
The Iberian encompasses Spain and Portugal. Being a Brazilian that she is, it makes sense that the Iberian is mainly a Portuguese along with her African heritage, which would indicate the slave trade. I don’t know why they were focused on Spain. The same thing with the husband they think he’s DNA is Spanish, but it’s most likely Portuguese. The Iberian peninsula is not exclusively Spain. The Iberian peninsula is Spain and Portugal that whole piece of land there. That’s why it’s called the Iberian peninsula. Happens to be broken up into two separate countries at this point, but the Portuguese, traveled to the West Coast of Africa picked up their slaves and went onto what we called Brazil. I don’t understand why they keep focusing on being Spanish.
Yes, I know his Iberian is most likely Portuguese not Spanish and the last name is Portuguese. But immigration from Spain was also big in Brazil (more recent immigration instead of colonial). And she is mostly 56% Italian as Brazil has the largest Italian population outside Italy. Brazil is a melting pot and of course they are Brazilians.
Iberian peninsula= Portugal and Spain. in Portugal we have a lot of African blood because for centuries the part that we now call Portugal was populated by people from Africa, Muslim people.
North Africa makes more sense to be from genes from the "Moors" that occupied Portugal and stayed, than from slaves. When Portugal conquered the land from the Mourish most of them stayed. North African genes are extremely common in Portuguese people, and less common as you go to the north of Portugal, which was never conquered by the "Moors".
African Moors from Iberia traveled to the Americas to escape the Spanish Inquision. Thus, African descent isn’t a result of slavery necessarily.
@Crusherwoman Most Brazilians prefer to ignore their Portuguese heritage.
That was so interesting and fun to view! It's so wonderful to see that Henrique is an actual blend of both of you! It seems like Italian is the strongest. But I love that there are so many different mixes from Souhthern Europe, North Africa and then of course Brazil and North. I think Henrique is going to be a very handsome and intelligent young man. Thank you, so much for sharing this with us 💚 🌐 💙
Classic Southern Europe profile includes North Africa. Those genes are from 7-8 thousand years ago. There were frequent wars between South Europe and North Africa. Glad to see we share the same genes. I believe that is why Southern Europeans need to dance. Great video.
I like Juno 's comments at the end. 😂 I'm excited to see Henrique growing up to see if he looks like his daddy.💙
You will be very surprised , I always thought I was just Portuguese.
Did my dna , German , UK ,Russian, polish. Italian, French,Norwegian Spanish, Portuguese, northern African Egyptian, Iranian etc

Our Portuguese ancestors were sailors and the best!
They went everywhere
I’ll be excited to see your results
I was almost as excited as you two while waiting to hear the results! How fun! Definitely plan those trips to Spain and Italy!😍
Wow, just amazing. It's incredible how we all have so many nationalities streaming through us. Believe this was the lord's plan, so we would all be connected. Have a blessed Sunday everyone.🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️
Wow... I Italian and European and a few others. It's fun to find out. A lot of my family did it and I was a lot of laughter. Most our back ground is Italian. Grow up in that old tradition of Italian food and wine. Love you guys.❤️
What do you mean by Italian and European? Italian is European...
That was so fun! Amazing how little Henrique follows your heritage so closely. Definitely have to take that family trip to Italy and Spain. 💙
You guys are my Sunday Morning coffee time. I look forward to every Sunday to watch our video's. For over a year now. Almost 2 years. Thank You for always putting a smile on my face. Have a great week.
That's so wonderful to find out your family heritage! Thanks for sharing that news with us! 🙂♥️
You are so adorable & such a awesome family .Your ancestors it is so wonderful finding out each of yours.❤️👍🏻👶🏻
Brazil was a Portugal colony right? So makes sense your ethnicities are focused around that area of europe. I think the native/ indigenous population is a very small percentage now. Mostly it is composed of white settlers.
The true indigenous in the Americas reside in Latin America. Most tribal people in the USA are very mixed with other ethnicities. But getting back to Latin America....most people are mixed with European, Native, African and Asian. Latin America is a melting pot. Yes, many people that lived in Europe that were cast out of their countries went to the Americas. Many were Sephardic Jews, North African indigenous and Arabic, Western Africans via the slave trade, Asians (indentured slaves or workers recruited to do the work of slaves after slave abolition). Within the last 50 or so years more people from Central Asia and Asia have moved to Latin America for business opportunities
@@lct7192000 😂 You don't know what you are talking about. There are a lot of full blood natives in the US and Canada.
What Africans lived in Europe that was cast out?
Latin America just means they speak a certain language…..
@@sh.4409 I did say that Africans came through the slave trade.
You two are just such a joy!!! You should have your own show and get paid more than what TH-cam pays!!! You don’t need to work any more 😂. People love your stories!!!
Junio you are the kindest and sweetest human I have ever encountered on top of being handsome and you look amazing dancing!!!
Ana you are so graceful and you must have done something right to deserve this man!!!!
I'm adopted, me and my daughter did the DNA. I knew nothing about my real parents... I have lupus and other illness. So it was important to find out what could be passed down to the grandkids. When we got the test back..... We almost fell in the floor..... My hair is very curly and dry. My sons is the same my daughters is a little bit but all of us have very thick hair like enough for three people. My kids have very olive skin I don't. So when we find out we are all Europeans, Scottish and...... From a very known African tribe 🤣🤣🤣(head Hunter's) I just about lost it!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I sad what???? Who? When? Your joking? Because that's out there🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 so come to find out my great great grand parents was from that tribe..... I'm like what???? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 they must have been very sweet and kind hearted because we all are 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for sharing 😅😅😅😊😊
If you don't mind are you all from America?
And did you have any African matches as family members?

Iberian is not Spain but Portugal and Spain! And many people from Brazil come from Portugal, don't you know? Come on, man!! Brasil was a colony from Portugal, so is more probable that you descend from portuguese!
Eso he dicho yo. La gente cada vez es más ignorante
This video was so cool. To see the expression on your faces was priceless. ❤❤❤
Brazil is a melting pot. There is no Brazilian gene. So you are guys are true Brazilians - a mix of everything !
Iberian is Portuguese & Spanish (not just Spanish). In your case likely more Portuguese.
Brazil is a geopolitical social construct. It exists because the colonizers said that it did and we continue to accept those political borders today. To say "there is no Brazilian gene" is not correct, disrespectful and very revisionist. There were and still are people indigenous to Brazil. Their communities have been decimated but they do still exit.
@@Bklyn112 I am talking biology the representation on the DNA test, not a social construct. They were claiming they are not Brazilian as one would say they are not American just because a DNA test says one is 56% Italian as hers test shows. The test didn’t give them “Brazilian gene”option. Brazil is a melting pot with the largest population of Italians outside Italy, The largest Japanese population outside Japan, The largest Lebanese population in the world. Approximately 6 percent of the population is of German ancestry. The list is very long, besides the obvious Portuguese and African. Their nationality is 100% Brazilian. Maybe be in the future the gen test will show 100% Brazilian:)
@@marci811 The biological representation is based on the social constructs of nation states. The nation state of Italy did not exist prior to 1861. The unification of "Italy" at that point combined many different ethnicities. Their phenotypes varied greatly from region to region as did language and culture. As someone who lived in Milano, I barely understand the Italian spoken in southern "Italy." The language became more unified as the Italian identity was formed and people migrated from region to region but it is still starkly different. Either way we can't normalize not mentioning indigenous existence no matter what the testing company does. That is erasure. I will agree that the companies have much work to do.
@@Bklyn112 I am not extrapolating. I am referring to their specific genetic test that does not show a percentage for Brazilian gene, obviously.

It's not surprising that Henrique is closer to Daddy's genome than Mommy's -- it would have been the other way around if he'd been born a Henriquetta.
My genome is closer to my Dad, what you're saying just isn't true.
That is so cool how much does it cost to do... Yes that's so cool Italian and Spanish are y'all's main ethnicities... Of course beautiful Henrique is a great mix of you both... That's so very cool ... Congrats guys...❤️❤️❤️❤️👣🥰
I'm 98% German and the rest Austrian according to mine. My kids added Irish and Scottish.

This is so cool! I have been thinking of doing this for a while now. Will use My Heritage soon!! Muchos cariños y bendiciones para los tres.❤❤❤

This was fun to watch. So ironically, according to the 'My Heritage' results, the 'Brazilian Couple' are in reality not of Brazilian descent or heritage. However, being born and raised in Brazil, they are of course Brazilian in culture. Interesting to see you both share Italian, Iberian and African DNA. Does knowing this information change your perspective on anything? Have you ever felt an affinity or connection to any one of these heritages?

It's always fun looking at your DNA (especially if you have no clue where your families are from - for example those of us who are adopted).
FYI - The IBERIAN Peninsula Is PORTUGAL AND SPAIN. It includes ALL of Continental Portugal and most of Spain... so your ancestors most definitely could be from Portugal as well.
I'm from an Italian family I love Italian food and Spanish food.
And your new social media title IS ____________❣️
I love watching DNA videos. The Iberian Peninsula includes both Spain and Portugal and considering that Brazil was colonized by the Portugese, Junio is more likely to have Portugese blood rather than Spanish blood. The colours on the maps are just rough guides. They are not supposed to be accurate.

We are ALL from somewhere. Everyone of us. So you are simply made of DNA from many territories, like everyone else. Territories or areas were just that, not countries. You need to read about early migration. Your DNA that you see is you, whose ancestors settled in certain areas and each makeup of people in those areas developed into a culture. You are simply a derivative of those people and devel
oped cultures. We ALL come from Adam and Eve, everyone of us which makes us ALL cousins
Love you guys 💕💕💕💕
Iberian means Spain and Portugal, the Iberian peninsula
I am from Spain, Galicia where we speak the grand mother of the Portuguese language, Gallego and Teixeira is a very galician surname!
How much fun to do these DNA tests! I did it a few years ago, and got tremendous surprises! I knew you were Italian, Ana! You have to do Julie’s DNA! Your vet can do it next time they take her blood. My pup’s DNA was even more surprising than mine! Henrique has the best of both of you! God Bless him, he is the sweetest most exquisite baby!❤
You said you are not Brazilian, but this is not how it works. Brazilians are a mix of Europeans (mostly Portuguese and Italians), Africans and Natives of South America. This is exactly what shows up in your results, you are a real Brazlian. And when it says Iberian for example, it does not mean that you have ancestors in both Spain and Portugal. It means you had an ancestor somewhere from this area. So it could just be Portugal and not Spain. Hope this helps.
Brazilian Just means you are born in brasil not an etnicity you can be and look every way and you are still brazilian, dont put that american view of race in brazilian context
@francoisdaureville323 of course you can be Brazilian with a different ethnic makeup than what I described. But this video is about DNA and Brazil does have a majority of people that are a mix of European, Native and African heritage. Nothing "American" about that...
@@whynot5698 but thats Just means hes mixed thats all that doesnt make him or her more brazilian than a brazilian of japanese or puré germán descent, thats the way brazilians think
@francoisdaureville323 Sure, but the point is that he thought he was not Brazilian genetically because he only saw europe, native and africa. No Brasil. However, MOST Brazilians are a mix of these three groups of people, and therefore, he is a typical Brazilian. It does it mean anyone with a different ethnicity like Japanese is not Brazilian, but every country has a big group that shares the same ancestry and that you can type as the typical 'Brazilian', 'Korean', 'German' etc. So, he has the typical genetic background that fits the average Brazlian. That's all.
What a great mix ❤ Iberian is both Spain and Portugal, and Andean+ is basically South and Central American. The Venetian Republic covered most of the Dalmatian coast back in the day, probably explaining the Balkan reading. MyHeritage has a limited number of sample populations in South America and generally paints ethnicities with broad strokes, which I prefer as trying to tease closely related populations apart with these tests is prone to a lot of misallocations.
You are now the Spanish Italian couple! 😂 Super cool guys!!
This was such a fun video to watch 🎉❤ and once everything was revealed, I see it so clearly, Italian and Spain🎉❤

Bem hajam.
❤merci pour ce partage, grand plaisir 😍😮👏👏💥❤🇨🇵

Teixeira is not a spanish name, it is Portuguese, eventhough you can find some people in Galicia too.
In Portugal, converted jews, some centuries ago, changed their names to names of plants, trees and fruits, and Teixeira comes from Teixo which is a tree. That is why most portuguese people have a percentage from North Africa.
Everybody in these videos thinks Iberian is Spain, but it can be Portugal only, or spain only. They don't detail it. Portugal makes complete sense since you are both from Brazil.
I love these videos!!
@@adleglez5592 yes, you are right. I should edit. In my test, and I'm portuguese, I have a percentage of north africa as well and when I visited Morocco, I was confused with Berbere/Amazir women as a local, not with the arabs.

I’ve been thinking that Henrique looks like both of you so I’m not surprised by his results.
Your Iberian could be all Portuguese, or it could be both Spanish and Portuguese. Remember, both countries are in the Peninsula, and the distances are not that far. These are small countries compared to Brazil. You also have to remember the history of the region it was concord by the Roman's and also by the Moors from North Africa for hundreds of years. Another thing to remember is that ancient people from all over the Mediterranean traveled all over the Mediterranean as they still do. My own family traveled from Albania to Sicily when the Turcks invaded about 900 years ago. The Meso Amican is talking about the native people of the Americas before the arival of the Europeans. That is why those Indians looked so much like your grandfather. The African from Noth Africa is most likely an indication of Arabic heritage the African from Senegal, Mali, Benin, etc... is the African heritage most people think of when they say African. Your DNA results may change as more people test. Remember these are best scientific guesses, that is why to research your roots you have to go with both DNA and the the paper trail from census, church records, boat passenger lists, and newspaper articles if any. The only 100% thing from the DNA test is the people that show up as your DNA cousins. You and them do 100% share common ancestors.
