Cards used 3 QB's that season to win 4 games(finished 4-9-1). As for the 1966 draft, Cards drafted 3 QB's that year only to have an undrafted player, Jim Hart, not only make the team but become a legend.

I remember in recent NFL seasons Jacksonville signed a farmer to start a game for them at Kansas City. I saw the game he had a good first half but the Chiefs got to him in the second half. His wife and two kids where in the standing cheering him on surrounded by a sea of Chiefs fans. That might be a good vid.

This result also says about what happed to the Colts in 1972 as they fell off significantly from the previous years when they had been a perennial playoff team (or at least contender). That was also Unitas’ last year in Baltimore. He finished his career in San Diego in 1973.

What never gets talked about is how many players go years on a roster without ever playing in a game. In '82 the 49ers drafted Bryan Clark in the 9th round, he made his 1st snap, vs Cin in '84 without a pass or run, then was picked up by Miami in '85 as leverage in resigning Marino, once more he never saw the field. 4 years on an active roster without a pass, run, or any other stats. All he did was hand off for one play. So, what is the record for the longest career without ever playing in a game?

Staubach threw a bad pass to Smith and Staubach even admitted it. Also, Landry called a play that was wrong for that situation. The fact it almost succeeded, says something about the players. And, no, that play did not cost the Cowboys the game. The fact that the Cowboys committed three turnovers that led directly to TDs, in addition to a pass interference call that the NFL admitted after the game was not pass interference that also directly led to a TD for the Steelers, had more to do with the Cowboys losing than that one play.
