- The college football game between Kansas and West Virginia had an exciting ending as West Virginia drove down the field to tie the game at 42-42 with under a minute left. In overtime, Kansas scored on their drive to go up 49-42. Then, West Virginia threw a game losing pick six on their possession and the Jayhawks stunned the Mountaineers with a 55-42 victory.

As a TCU fan, I'm both amused and concerned with Kansas. They are the underdog that we root for, but they're also TCU's kryptonite. For whatever reason, even during the 2014 when TCU was in the top 5, Kansas has given us trouble. Now we have a new head coach and our running game hasn't been successful, so I'm worried that they'll beat us this year. I hope Kansas makes it to a bowl game and wins it, but just not by beating TCU. 😉
@@grondhero Hi Kirby. Either way, doesn't the prospect of that matchup make it so much better to tune in or attend the game in person?! As a KU fan for 6-decades, I'm very excited about the potential of this year's football team. I had to admit that I was one of the doubters when KU traveled to WVA to play the Mountaineers. I'd hoped they'd give WVA a good game but did NOT expect a win. But after watching what went on in that game I have become much more of a believer in Lance Leipold as a coach and the KU team as a whole. They'll face a tough opponent down in Houston on Saturday (U-Houston) but if they can take a win out of that stadium too, there are going to be many many bandwagon Jayhawks fans who will climb back aboard and get behind this team. So enjoyable to see them succeed the way they have so far. Be well.

The Big 12 is going to be absolutely wild after this revamp. It's so unpredictable- any one of 5 or 6 teams could win the thing, and the conference winner could do it with anywhere between 0 and 4 losses.

That depends on your definition of "back". KU is definitely the best they've been in many years, but they could go 0-10 the rest of the year and that would still be true. As for the 'eers being "solid", that seems like a bit of a stretch at the moment. Who knows, maybe both these teams will run the table and meet for a grudge match in the Big 12 Championship. And perhaps pigs would fly, if they had wings...
Coach Lance Leipold guided the University at Buffalo to it's winningest stretch in program history. Looks like he's putting some of his magic to Kansas.
Kansas definitely has itself a coach. Better years ahead for them (admittedly it’s not hard to do better than they’ve done the last 10-12 years, but still)

Man hawk fan here. After trying to leave a wedding (eventually had to sneak out 😂) i made it home for the OT. In my mind I kept thinking our secondary is a step faster this season, a pick here would be nice. Idk who rubbed the right genie bottle but Lance Liepold and this team are ON POINT.

All of those titles were against the mighty Mount Union.
As a dyed-in-the-wool KU fan, we continue to support, hope and pray that Lance will be an UNPRECEDENTED success with the KU Football Program.

WVU needs out of the B12. Top recruits from VA, KY, TN, NC, OH, PA, MD, D.C. (i.e., your main recruiting base) do not want to travel to play all of their games in TX, OK, KS, etc.
If you don't get an ACC invite, maybe just suck it up and go AAC. WVU could run the AAC in the same way that they ran the Big East.

@@insulman100 I disagree. WVA's QB looked like a pretty talented kid. He needed better offensive line play and WVA's defense needed to stop KU during the 2nd quarter. WVA had a 14-0 lead in the 1st quarter, a 21-7 lead and a 28-14 lead midway through the 2nd quarter. 46 points should be enough to win a game. The problem IMO is NOT on the offensive side of the ball.

You'd know better than me, but they've been strong as a program for decades. I think the loss to Pitt (Backyard Brawl, LOVE THAT NAME!!!) was tough to get over. Then an unexpected loss at home to KU probably had them wondering WTF!? For your sake, I hope they begin to play better and come together as a team and beat a few big opponents. It's still early in the season. Don't give up on your team yet. Lots of football to be played. PS. try praying for some of that "Mountaineer magic." It can't hurt.
We drove from KC to watch KU (my school) at WVU (my dad’s school). Campus was awesome and even though I was wearing KU gear, fans were awesome! My only regret…I was looking forward to Country Roads. Didn’t get to hear that nor did my dad.

Yes. And I'm pretty sure he was referring to the exceptional play of the offensive lines, opening large spaces for backs to run through. But sadly, in this day and age, announcers have to be VERY careful about using vernacular that can get them "cancelled," even though no one would have even batted an eye over such descriptive language that was common among football play-by-play men as recently as 5-years ago.

I was at the game. It is heartbreaking at a WVU fan. It was raining hard from the start of the 4th. PS. Wvu has had 4 targeting calls reversed after review in two games. I have no idea what targeting is anymore. The in this game was aggregious. Helmet to Helmet and the player lead with head and really knocked both players out cold. But nope. Not targeting after review.
