  • What happens in a Sniper's Hide precision rifle class? This is a quick, over-simplification of the great training offered by Frank Galli of Sniper's Hide and Marc Taylor of Alaska Precision Rifle Training. As Frank likes to say, "there are a lot of really good bad shooters out there." You want to be a great shooter? Then you need the fundamentals taught in a way that is easy to understand and replicate. From the fundamentals evaluation to the classroom instruction segments, to the scope testing, to the DOPE gathering, all the way to the positional practice - this is solid instruction from two Marine Corps scout snipers.

    I attended Marc & Frank's level 1 class here in Alaska a year ago and I have to say it was money VERY well spent. Drinking from a firehose but I got enough on me to make a difference. Hoping to retake level 1 again next year as a refresher with level 2 the following 3 days!

    As someone who is new to the outlet of both precision and long range shooting, and after accidentally finding this video, I have to agree with what another commenter said: I felt like I was there! The essence was fully distilled, the editing was perfect, and I appreciate hearing the instructors' knowledgeable no-nonsense approach; they were correcting guys on the fly, only to prove the point with immediate results (audible to the viewer). An amazingly informative use of 7 minutes. That's what's up! I recently purchased a Ruger 300 PRC, all built the way I want it. It would be an honor to attend one of these courses to really break it in.

    Thanks for making this video for all of us to watch and enjoy. The great thing about Frank besides his experience and knowledge that he shares with us all , is that he isn’t a smart arse dickhead but comes across as a great guy willing to help rifle shooters be the best they can be.

    This was another great video Joel, showcasing how these guys are passing down valuable knowledge, to raise the bar in PRS style of shooting. I will be signing up for some of these classes very soon. Thank you.

    I would gladly pay for a virtual class for the novice shooter explaining MOA, Mil, reticle fundamentals on advanced scopes, zeroing etc. Know anybody who teaches that?

    • @PrecisionRifleNetwork
      @PrecisionRifleNetwork  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Brian Bolton yes. Frank Galli does, on Sniper’s Hide.
      You can pay for an upgrade to his online training section of the site. You will find instruction on all of those things in there.

    Say I can't afford or want to travel but want to take a course what should I look for in a class or an instructor? Qualifications of the instructor? Course composition? Etc.

      What I look for is a good communicator. You can have all the knowledge in the world, but if you can't communicate well, no one will benefit from your knowledge. Background and experience certainly are a benefit. You want someone who is a coach, someone able to watch you and correctly diagnose your mechanics and make positive corrections.

    This kind of thing seems to be popular in the midwest and back east. Is any of it done out west?

    • @PrecisionRifleNetwork
      @PrecisionRifleNetwork  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bill Stevens yes. Frank is based out of Colorado. Marc, Alaska.
      Other training companies out there as well.

    I'm just curios it looked like he had all the suppressed guys together or is that just coincidence.

    • @PrecisionRifleNetwork
      @PrecisionRifleNetwork  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      JOHN SIMONELLI correct. Not a coincidence. We put all of the guys with muzzle brakes off to the side on an end. LOL.

    • @PVW1960
      @PVW1960 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah as a muzzle brake guy myself & 4 other guys got stuck in the gravel off the end of the concrete pads at the cless in Alaska. Second class citizens!!! :-) But still well worth it!

    Whats the best precision school for the absolute beginner?

    • @PrecisionRifleNetwork
      @PrecisionRifleNetwork  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Spartan Greywolf depends on your goals. If competition, then K&M in Tennessee. If fundamentals and marksmanship, then Frank Galli or Caylen and Phil from Modern Day Sniper.
      If you’re in Missouri, I might humbly suggest myself and Rex of Max Effective. 😉
