Excellent footage as always Brenden. Yes the good "old" backward days when the government wanted to use buses for most regional services, whilst at the same time encouraging people to use public transport to lessen road trauma. A bus in a serious crash puts many people in hospital. Trains, in general are safer, even in a crash. And I remember when there was all the carry on when the old Harris electric trains were to be modified to be loco hauled. That just shows how broke the government at the time was, because the cost of converting the Harris carriages to be suitable for country trains blew out, but there was no turning back. There was no money in the kitty to do what they originally wanted, and certainly no money to order new stock fit for the purpose. Of course those cars still run today but by international standards they are far from impressive.
Time and time again, you have made it clear that you love our City's green and open spaces. That's why I'm so happy to announce that our newest park in now open on Kings Road Denistone East. As our population continues to grow, ensuring that every resident has access to quality services, valued programs and recreational facilities has been an absolute priority of the 2017-2021 Council that I have lead. I've also made it clear in past emails that I believe public works are the best way to to lead our City's economic recovery after COVID. This project is no exception, with $2m spent on community open space infrastructure, sustaining material demand for Australian suppliers and keeping people employed. So over the coming weeks, please head down to our newest park to have a look and let me know what you think! If you do visit, please remember to practice physical distancing and wash your hands regularly. As always, please let me know if I can assist you with any other matter. 16:29 That was tandem, not double-header. I still contend that "double-header" is a loco at each end of the train, so that when arriving at Albury's terminal platform, there's no need to "run around" the passenger carriages. Loco at one end pulls the train into Albury, loco at the other end pulls the train out of Albury.

I'm a simple man; I see P Class, I click like.
And buses and cows. Don't forget that Alex.
Saved the best for last, S302 always a favourite.
Yes short-lived but still great to see.
Great video mate, great footage from the days of the P classes and A classes on the Bacchus Marsh trains. And great footage of the N's too.
Thanks 😀😀
Fantastic coverage Brenden.

Hope it’s a good question
Awesome so what happened to all the S classes for V/line
Pteservation, scrapping or other operators such as SSR.

P12 and P15 are still at V/Line with P13.
P12 13 are still active but don't get much use and P15 is stored and I don't think has mad much use for a long time.

correct they don't do that now
Your wrong, double header is two engines together. A engine both ends of train is top and tailed.

@@neilforbes416 actually a double header is the same engine as you would have seen and this is not the place to judge people
a train still has to do a run around at a terminus
A70 now in SSR ownership
Correct. Coming to a track near us soon hopefully
But the p class was purchased by ssr when they were phased out of vline.is that right
Except for 12, 13 and 15. 15 is stored and 12 and 13 get the occasional use on other trains such as tests for V/line.
