Reaching that stage of : “i dont care” may be the ultimate answer

    • @kateking3953

I've reached that point with my issue. It's not that I don't care, I can't keep worrying about it and thinking about it , and allowing it to take up space in my life.

Everyone recovers when they reach the ‘I don’t care’ stage. I’m 9 years into this, and still haven’t reached that ‘I don’t care’ stage. I’ve been caring my whole life.

I think there are moments in which the “i don’t care” has its place, but overall I refocus my attention on the true cause of my issues - with compassion I want to address the cause.
I know I’m not a car, but similarly, worrying about fixing the light that let’s me know something is not right under the bonet is pointless, the cause is important to pay attention to I believe.
Don’t know, might be wrong. On the recovery path since Jan 2024, i got better in June, had a setback a couple of weeks ago, which dr Sarno says is to be expected.
The warriors need to proof their worth 😊

Joe I loved your story I have histamine intolerance mildly but used to have it super bad not as bad as you have a lot of other things Addition migraines pelvic pain to Dental neuralgia you name it I’m still dealing with trigeminal neuralgia. Dentist told me you could get rid of all of my chronic fatigue IC And pelvic pain ever pulled an old root canal tooth and cavitated the bone which is bone surgery and I ended up with trigeminal neuralgia. He said oh poor you only one and 50 million people get this while you’ll be in pain for the rest of your life. The one thing a dodger created I can’t get rid of. You’re so lucky you worked with Shubiner and of course we’re lucky to have Dianne too he’s the man! He got me into all this I refuse to get on the Internet and look into people symptoms because I know it’s just used to make me worse so now I’m way behind the power curve I don’t know all the stuff is out there. My pain is 24 seven there’s never a time it’s not there it gets worse after I eat talk to walk. But you know I keep doing those things.I meditate three hours a day for the ability to function at all which is really ridiculous I don’t want to have to meditate three hours throughout the day Just to have a basic function.
Did you work with Dr Shubiner one on one or did you join his program, Same question for Steve O. They are both awesome just wondering If you worked with them directly one on one or did you join online programs etc. I have to do something. I’ve watched Hundreds of hours of videos,I’ve learned a lot I have a lot of hope for the first time in 20 years. Thank you for sharing it was an awesome story and thank you Dan for getting him on your show, You are always fighting for us you never want anyone left behind.❤

Hi Joe I responded to your video but I don’t see the response maybe I didn’t click send. I cure a lot of conditions on my own back when no one even knew about Sarno there was no TH-cam. I spent 150 K on treatment for pelvic paying interest or cystitis Dental neuralgia, CFS but I also had a really bad histamine issues but no one knew what that was back then now they really know a lot. I would itch all over until I would go crazy. I would just lather Cortizone cream over the counter all over my body. It wasn’t constant like the other pain but it was horrendous. It’s funny how you forget how bad things were when you get better. I still have flareupsThey are rare and I know they go away so I don’t panic.
My question is I still have Trigeminal neuralgia caused by a dental surgery. Afterwards he said you have trigeminal neuralgia you will have his nerve pain and the rest of your life it’s a one in 1 million chance you were probably too sensitive for me to do the surgery and she’s sick I shouldn’t have done it. Oh well… My question is did you work with Shubinerand one on one, Same question for Dr. Steve Ozanich. Hope I spelled that right. Or did you do online programs what did you do? I love Dan I watch his videos every day but I want to add something. I’ve only seen four people recover from this and stories on Dianne’s channel there are probably more but three of them were young and most had it only two years. I think I’m gonna need some extra help. Your story was awesome you’re awesome I’m so glad you’re better and you were able to share with us. I celebrate recovery and I’m sure everybody else does, bravo 👏👏👏👏👏

@@lindapelle8738 hi, I didn't see your comment. For your transdermal neurolgia, I've seen a few people in the Facebook group called "tell me about your pain" heal from this. It's a common tms. Brain blames the surgery but brain was waiting to blame something and then the surgery came and brain gave you the face pain and then the dentist solidified it to your brain that it's not going away.
From your past, you have a few tms issues and this is yet another manifestation.
You can beat this. Talk to your brain. Focus on the symptom and tell brain to bring it on. Your not afraid. Touch your face, tell brain to make it worse. Then go on ignoring it, knowing it's your brain. Do this over and over.

Dan, this is excellent! Joe, thank you! I have been dealing with dizziness and pain for a year and did a similar histamine thing! Then it was foot pain on top of it to where I was limping around everyday and then I got sick last week and was obsessed with not being able to breathe ( one of my past histamine reaction fears ) and after a few days of this new obsession I noticed my daily foot pain was just gone out of nowhere. It’s clicking in, finally! The dizziness is still there, but I know I have been severely stressed and afraid and people pleasing and repressing anger in my personal life. Yesterday, I said enough of this. I am going to have that hard conversation. I am not going to bend of backwards anymore. I am not going to live in fear. I am going to work out again ( something I have been avoiding for a year ) . I have the confidence to handle what I need to handle in my life. And now I see this video. It’s perfectly timed! Thank you to you and Dr. Yonit Arthur, The Steady Coach! That’s how I found you! All the things you both teach is finally sinking in! This video will help people!

This video is important because the chronic pain community does not talk much about food sensitivities/intolerances as part of TMS. So after watching this numerous times and getting new information out of it each time. I’ve always been hoping that I’d wake up one day and my foot and right knee pain would be gone, so I took on Joe’s advice and Dan‘s advice and Dr. Sarno’s advice it’s not easy walking around with numb feet And right knee pain. I’ve noticed I’m getting slight little wins throughout the early morning and afternoon evening time is a different story but I’m still walking around barefoot and I’m expecting it to happen and I’m trying my best to be unbothered by it plus I know it will take time, so anybody out there reading this comment I would highly suggest listening to Joe’s interview over and over again. I love all Dan success stories but this is the one that has touched me the most good luck out there.

Thank you for this, both of you. I will say right now, that one day in the near future, I will be a guest on this channel, telling you my story to inspire viewers to believe it can be so for them. I feel hope. I feel like everything is possible now, and I’m not destined for a life of reactions, pain, etc. Also, for me having a Christian faith, what’s truly coming to my mind right now, is “it is done unto you as you believe.” It may be unconsciously being done, but it’s being done. Imagine the gift we have of undoing it all! 😊

I thought I understood all the factors in what originally brought about my limbic system dysregulation / PTSD. etc... but I'd missed a BIG one. I knew everything started about the time I stopped taking Benadryl every night to help me sleep, but the impact of my reasons for doing so (fear of side effects/drug reactions) I can now see was a huge trauma catalyst. I set up my brain for magnifying that fear in the midst of a perfect storm of other factors, and within months.... BAM. THANK YOU so much for the paradigm shift. WOW. Seriously. Big time breakthrough after I thought I'd had all my breakthroughs. Happy dance at my house. THANK YOU!!!

Best advise I can have for anyone is realise the brain is what’s running the show, secondly, take a moment to go through your own beleifs and thought pattern, and how this started. The brain as it’s own part on your body, and if the body’s getting random none consistant symptoms then the brain is your friend, befriend it and acknowledge it’s talking to you 🙏

I do still suffer from extreme bloating from other foods but I keep incorporating foods into my diet and don't worry too much about flare ups.

Wonderful story! I also had MASC, histamine intolerance. I can eat almost all foods now. Went through a brain training program and this is what helped me. Was referred to Dan by a member in the group. I have followed Dan for 3 months now. My family thinks I’m a little crazy but I know this works. I don’t share much with them. Any suggestions for me on this: When I eat sugary foods, or carbs. My brain goes to and I wait for my symptoms to happen, UTI’s ! (Itching and pain in back). So, do I need to just eat those foods and go do something to get my mind off. I do talk to my brain a lot. Just my mind goes back to my functional doctor, who I don’t see any more, says sugar causes UTI’s . I don’t eat a lot of sugar and eat pretty healthy but I do like my cookies, pie, cake, and some pasta!

I have to say I’m a recovering nutritionist. I’m on my journey to recovery after finding Dan. 🙏 I’ve been frightened of certain foods and symptoms for several years. After finding Dan my bloating was gone after about a week. Some of the other symptoms are still there but I know I’m on the right path. I’m also a Vipassana meditator and I’ve just got back from a 10 day course and it all became perfectly clear there. My stomach started gurgling and I got diarrhoea 2 days in and started to get worse day by day despite the wonderful food that I was eating at the centre. Day 9 was the worst. I’ve just been observing it and laughing at what’s happening. Since I came home, my stomach has gone quiet and I’m still just watching it with amusement. I’ve always been a fearful person so I’ve still got some work to do, but I feel like I’m on the right path. I’m so grateful to you Dan and all the good people I’m learning from 🙏 thank you

I began prioritising my disordered eating behaviours over my histamine intolerance symptoms after almost a decade of restrictive diets that caused me to become severely malnourished. I too was down to 2 foods at one point and came to the conclusion that I had to either tolerate my symptoms or die from starvation. Unfortunately a lot of the side effects of severe malnourishment cross over with those of histamine intolerance, so you can get stuck in a horrible cycle. The bloating he explains is also expected when you're refeeding- your gut doesn't know how to work properly after long periods of restriction, and it's an uncomfortable process to get it functioning again. It can take months for the bloating to subside. Once I understood all this it was so much easier to keep eating. I highly recommend people who have restricted for a long time to also dip into the ED recovery world. They can give you a whole new perspective on 'symptoms' when you introduce foods and help create more safety around what happens when you challenge the restrictive eating behaviours.

Thank you for this. I have had disordered eating my whole life, and then ended up with candida, food intolerances and histamine intolerance. I'm sure it all came from the disordered eating (over-stuffing in my case). Thank you for your comment because every time I try to reintroduce I have terrible problems, I think the disordered eating plays a part in it too, in that my gut is in a terrible mess. Thank you for pointing to me to look into re-feeding, this will help me a lot.

Thank you for this Dan. I have been dealing with red itchy blotches on my scalp. I went to my dermatologist twice and the second time he threw up his hands and said he did not know what was going on and gave me a big RX of topical steroids. I don’t do topical steroids. After that the red blotches started multiplying on my temples, around the eyes, and on the chin.
I don’t hear much about skin but I suspect TMS because the redness can come and go and do so quickly. No doubt I have a lot of rage over a work termination that happened 10 years ago and I am just now able to express that. I am moving toward healing. Thank you and thank you Joe for your story.

I've had itching for years and years. I don't seem to noticeably react to any foods, so I don't really restrict them and I get plenty of movement in. Still, the needle doesn't shift even just getting on with life and giving as little attention as possible to symptoms. I think a lack of self-love is a big part of the healing puzzle.

Joe, thank you so much for this success story!
After about a year of TMS work my body pains have almost almost completely gone and flare ups are gone within hours. This after 20 years of pain jumping around my body. But even before that and to this day I have itching all over my body that I assumed was caused by TMS but not nearly to the extent that you did. Because the itching and other skin irritations were so much less limiting to my life than the body symptoms that I never really had fear of them.
I never bothered going to doctors regarding my skin for years because none of the things I tried worked in the long run. I never limited my diet or how I washed myself but I did take a lot of antihistamine that I have since weened off for about 6 months now. But the itching and other skin issues persist.
The only fixing activity I have for itching is scratching, would you say that I shouldn't scratch?
After so much success with my other symptoms it feels like I owe it to myself to overcome these lower-level symptoms.
I have subscribed to your channel and look forward to watching your videos. Thanks Again!!

Wow I’m just in the middle of the story and I had to comment. That’s my impatient obsessive disorder I guess😂. I’ve already told a bit of my story on other of Dans videos. Started in 1995 CFS fibromyalgia in interstitial cystitis pudendal neuralgia etc. got rid of that after a decade without Sarno but I did the Sarno stuff without knowing it stopped getting treatment got off all sites yahoo back then I’m left with trigeminal morales or that was caused by a dental surgery.
But as I watch this I remember oh yeah I have histamines intolerance too, Very common with icy but I would itch all over at times not all the time and it drives you crazy. Absolutely crazy! I was slathering myself with Cortizone cream from the store. It always came on with my gut wasn’t doing well eating stuff I shouldn’t eat or after getting a flu. The last flareup was two years ago, I had it for maybe two days but I didn’t worry about it I just said oh crap Here we go again and ignored it I didn’t even use the Cortizone cream I went out and bought I was too lazy to put it on. It went away. But I know I still have a little bit of it but I used to have it really really bad isn’t it funny how you forget things when they get better..I was told by a holistic doctor many many years ago I had MCAS. But I’m not going to identify with anything anymore.

Is there a difference between not reacting to the symptoms (being unbothered) versus ignoring them? I thought we wanted to acknowledge them with safety messages then become unbothered versus just ignoring them. I know plenty of people who ignore their pain but that doesn't make it go away for them. But noticing the pain, responding with safety messages, breathing and then moving on, isn't that the correct steps?

This video has made me wonder if my pain is magnified just like my sensitivity to noise. If perceived danger can cause light, sound, food sensitivity etc to such a level it can shut us down as the brain is trying to protect us, it has to be that same thing happens to our pain level. I’m going with this thought hoping it allows me to live my life more, knowing pain isn’t really that bad, it is just magnified to make it appear so. Interested in Dan and other people’s view on this please. Thank you

No dietary changes were the solution for Joe. A mindbody approach has no downside, only benefit. Personally, I know I feel best when I eat carnivore. It doesn't have to be one or the other. Get out of fight or flight - teach the brain safety. If you want to experiment with carnivore, that is up to you.

My mom is 87 years old and in a nursing home never had gut issues but she has them pretty bad now. I wonder if it’s because I used to talk about it all the time. Because I was diagnosed with sibo and had got problems for years. I’ve gotten tons better since watching Dans channel every day, Success stories and three or four videos every day. I wonder if it’s safe if I sent this video to her, because she’s nibbling on foods and says they all make her sick. But I wonder is it because she’s old they lose their digestive enzymes as they get old I don’t want her to start eating cakes and cookies Like someone in their 40s. Interesting dilemma.I think I may have created fear in her.
