I've had both cars there's absolutely now way a TC can beat an XRS factory vs factory or both with the same mods. Those XRS are great love the lift sound.
He have another video and you can see his rev limiter and this tc was definitely not stock it have at least flash ecu because it pass the stock rev limiter
You have a 2ZZ-GE against a 2AR-FE. Given the increase in displacement and torque, its no doubt the 2AR would pull foward without having to rev so high.
That is DEFINITELY not an XRS, but a plain-Jane Ce/VE/LE… and he struggled to beat that!!!! An XRS would have made it look like he wasn’t racing anyone.. because he would have been “that” far ahead.
I actually traded my TC for an XRS cuase I was tired of getting beat by them. After that I bought an 07 civic SI which was just a bit faster than the XRS.
Not true, I’ve had a 2006 corolla and just got a tC and I know from experience the corolla is slower. Without a doubt. Raced 3 corollas and I’ve beat them every time also. They must have not been racing 😂

The TC in the video is a TC2. These cars make about 180hp and 172ft/ibs to the crank stock. Unsure what was done to either of these cars, but ik factory the Corolla only made like 170hp and 127ft/ibs which is a pretty low torque number. Only thing the corolla has going for it really is it's a higher revving engine and its weighs less.

Robert Kucera I had the 03 matrix ecu it was repinned I had lift at 6200 it was great! But midrange felt like it lagged a bit. I have my current stock ecu reflashed by r9k buy want to try scoottuned reflash
PotentialDifference1 sounds like a pretty decent setup. My only reference is my 03 matrix XRS that I use for a winter car. It's always funny walking people in a normal toyota hatch lol they dont expect much from it

Eso ahora venden unos chips que se conectan al OBDll con diferentes mapas o uno más completo que tiene 4 mapas y cambia por completo el motor de carro.

That Tc is the second generation 2.5, I seen the Dyno number on those and they make close to 180 whp stock that’s why he’s able to beat the xrs

the factory bhp of the corolla is 180 hp. same engine as the celica gts.
2006 corolla xrs is only at 164 hp. Torque yea it's about right at 127 ft lbs

they were detuned for emission reasons. The 2003 ecus are the most aggresive power wise from the factory.
