3:06 The guy you recognized with the blonde short hair was Sam played by actor Robin Lord Taylor He was in that episode in Season 4 where Rick and Carol were out scavenging hence why Carol found the watch that Rick gave to Sam He was also the Penguin on Gotham To celebrate his casting the show runners offered him a wrap of his TWD character They flew him out for one day dyed his hair got him in costume and walked him on set and then killed off his character and drained his blood All in a days work.
I remember watching season 5 episode 1, and I told my Mom (she was still alive then), "If you like Carol now, you'll love her more, after this episode."
I love the reunion of Rick Carl and Judith but I also love the reunion of Tyreese and Sasha part of the reason she didn’t want to go to Terminus is because she didn’t want to deal with the fact that he might not be there that he probably didn’t make it seeing him with Judith then seeing her take off running behind Rick her crying tears of joy as she gets a big bear hug from her big brother always gets me misty eyed I love their dynamic even just the little bits we’ve gotten of them so far.
Comic Comparisons : The current arc mirrors an arc in the comic named Fear The Hunters Terminus as a place doesn’t exist but the people do Instead it’s just a traveling group of cannibal bandits who kidnap people and eat them It’s nowhere near as organized as in the show.
Rick: Did you do that? *Carol nods Rick: Just when I think you couldn’t be anymore dead to me, you go and do something like this, AND TOTALLY REDEEM YOURSELF.
Fun Fact for you about this episode when they shot the scene where part of the group was getting killed in order to become food the main cast was not told that the other actors would bleed that much so that producers could get genuine disgust and panic reactions from Glenn Rick and Daryl ;)
I always thought Merle was killed off too early and that it would’ve been SO impactful if he had been in the line up with Rick Glenn Daryl And Bob and was the last one killed before shit hit the fan.
Rick will be who the group needs him to be but it's not without its issues. Also, the size and quality of this group is both the fuel for him to do whatever to keep them safe AND the balance he needs to not become like the Terminus peeps. Although, there may be hints of total savagery in Rick, the group will help keep him balanced.
You're my favorite TWD reactor❤ I friggin love your personality and how you get into the show, like you're actually there too😂 Can't wait to see your reaction to upcoming episode 504, "4 Walls & a Roof"❤❤❤❤
Ahhhhhh I usually watch u every Monday but I had such a busy week had to wait til today to watch it. Loved your reaction as always Grant❤ This was a great episode to start Season 5
You ended the episode too soon... You Missed the last scene at the end, worth watching 👍👍. FUN FACK...The character that threaten judith's life in the shack...He is the Actual Father of the baby Judith 👍😊.
I don't want to be that guy but that isn't true only the hands of the character in that scene was her actual father's hands the guy that plays Martin is not her real dad he didn't want another man touching his baby's neck like that so he used his hands instead
Another great reaction, Grant, thank you. I told you a few weeks back that Carol was a badass. You haven't seen anything yet. As for Tyreese, he's not a badass. Not really.
Great reaction Grant . MAN ALIVE, WHAT a rollercoaster🎢 of emotions in this episode, I remember my first watch, it had us on the edge of our seats and was blinking scary and STRESSSSS. Loved how Rick's/our group weren't crying or panicking, but busy building makeshift weapons. We were ready, THEN, I couldn't belieeeeeeve the flash bang💥 thrown through the roof of the train car at the beginning which caught everyone off guard by surprise - they tricked and disorientated our guys before knocking them out and brought into the human slaughterhouse. You made me laugh with your comments. Gareth: "we saw you go into the woods with a bag and come out without it, what was in it"? Grant's TV: "your mama". Then later Grant's TV: "... 'ain't no fun when the gun ain't pointed at the rabbit".🐇🔫 That Terminus lot were EVIL, SICK and disturbingly psychotic, I don't think any of us fans could believe this was EVER shown on tv. It's crazy to have suffered at the hands of another group being abused and r*ped, BUT to turn around and now kill and "EAT" people (children included) is DISGUSTING and the complete opposite, I felt it was inexcusable, unjustified, beyond heinous and twisted beyond another extreme, because surely, two wrongs DO NOT make a right. That IS poor Sam from the house with the bleached/blonde hair with his random girlfriend Ana who got mauled and eaten by walkers where Rick and Carol left the house and stumbled across part of her lower leg that was left behind the fence with the tattoo on it and Carol fixed Sam's dislocated shoulder and he didn't show up and went missing. Good thing Rick pulled off that strip of wood in the shipping container to use it as a knife/shank🫢 because the distraction firstly from Gareth stopping his men and talking to them in a very matter-of-fact way, like it was just business as usual was very unsettling, then Bob who was pleading to Gareth "...you don't have to do this", then another distraction was when Gareth stop asks Rick what he had hiding in the gun bag in the woods, Rick only gives in and complies wheh Gareth threatens to stab Bbo in the eye and then one of my favourite lines from Rick re' the machete with the red handle, he tells Gareth "That's what I'm gonne use to kill you" - YAAAASSS! Then "our Rambo Carol" going in "covert operation/black ops style" causes the biggest explosive distraction EVER and saves the day and everyone's lives - she's definitely without question the MVP of the episode! Tyreese - I agree, he was silly to take his eyes of Judith, but thankfully he's a BIG strong guy and once "beast mode" is activated no walker is a match for him as long as he's angry enough and focussed. Initially I hated when Martin ordered Tyreese out of the barn to face the walkers by threatening to break Judith's neck with one twist if he didn’t do so immediately - (FACT: apparently that actor (Chris Coy) who plays 'Martin' was so scared he was going to hurt her they had to use her real father's hands in the close up shots when they were placed around her neck) so I remember on my first watch I couldn't believe it when it went silent, even little Judith did, she went quiet and like us you could see she waited in anticipation with that little worried look and frown like she knew something was coming next and her little cute face had this look as if to say 😠 "YOUUU WAIT, this is the moment my Uncle Tyreese bursts through that door and he's gonna whoops your butt Mr" and so it happened. The crazed man Glenn frees from the other container during the firefight is in fact one of the marauders that took over Terminus, we see him in a flashback when Gareth and the others are imprisoned. He throws Mary into the car and selects a.young woman, who is dragged off to be r*ped again and Gareth comforts Mary etc. etc, then it ends with Gareth telling Mary they will take back Terminus. "You're either the butcher or the cattle", he declares. Made me cry happy tears🥲🥲 on Rick & Carl's reunion with baby Judith and Tyrese & Sasha. It ended an emotional triumph.🎺🎉 Shame you missed the post-end credits scene. ********** Upon airing, the episode hit series-high ratings, with 17.29 million viewers; The episode is considered by critics and audiences to be one of the show's best, citing the fast-paced action, dark themes, and performances by the lead cast as high points and they had to put a warning out to viewers that it basically wasn't for children. Here in the UK the episode was viewed by 1.152 million viewers making it the highest-rated broadcast that week and achieved 0.082 million timeshift viewers. In Australia it received 0.098 million viewers, making it the highest-rated cable broadcast that day. Received 💯% on Rotten 🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅's
