    This was SO helpful. ❤Showing how the roots look etc. etc. was wonderful! Info on toxicity (none!) and other info was also very helpful.
    A neighbor/friend offered me a ton of babies unexpectedly tonight and I have been wanting one so I accepted them but needed total direction. 😮
    I will probably watch it again as well as read another article on planting them in soil. ❤We will see what happens! Thanks again for sharing this…🙏🏻

    Thanks for the info! Great video with everything needed to know. Love those Spider Babies! 😊 My mum had these plants when I was growing up and just recently bought one for my home (slowly becoming a crazy plant lady! 😅🪴❤) I definitely got it for it's air purifying qualities too, as recommended by NASA! ❤💯🇵🇭👋🏼

    hi ty for the video, i have the fully green one and it is a good houseplant, sometimes they got dry fast. check then the potweight more often in a week ( 1-3 times) depends of place and hot /dry.... i find out same aspsects of my plants, that they also doing good not in the directsunlight but also in the not window spots. love this plant so much :)

    • @lookida
      @lookida ปีที่แล้ว

      its also very entertainment that thhis plants will make so many little plants during a year 1-2 times. and you can give the plants also to friends or people you like.

    • @lookida
      @lookida ปีที่แล้ว

      biggest tip, give water depending on the plant need, that means. only watering when earth is dry and pot is lighter because of less water, this can change depending of root and plants size, potsize and material of he pot and how much earth in comparison of the plant you use. but when you miss to water for 1 week, vbecause you in holdidays the plant can use the water in their root tank. no problem

    So my spider plant shots stems for babies alot...but all the babies seem to burn up and die. It's not in a window with a ton of sun. It gets full sun for about 2 hours in the morning, then indirect light the rest of the day. It's in a well drained pot and I water it once a week. I can always see when it needs water . What am I missing? I also try not to over or under fertilizer.

    For some reason I can not find info about the time of year these plants start to sprout babies. I've googled and googled and nothing! Is it an all year round thing? Or is it seasonal? Do they have them once a year, etc etc. Any answers you may have would be awesome.

      Hello Millie! All my matured indoor spider plants produce babies year-round, esp those placed by the window. They need to be somewhat root bound to produce babies. They produce even more during mid-spring to late summer. I honestly don't fertilize them as much because I want them to produce babies than foliage.
      The age of the plant matters too! Of the spiderettes that I've potted a couple of months ago (shown in 5:00), only one plant is producing babies. Hope this helps!

      Yes, absolutely! They thrive in water. You can add mosquito bits to prevent any unwanted pest to grow in water.

      Hi! Sorry to hear that! Is your plant mature? You may want to move it to a smaller pot. They like to be root bound. They like to be fertilized too.

    They wont survive a parrot attack🦜 My plant was from ceiling right down to the floor, a good 7 foot. So sad to see the mangled spider plant in a heap on the floor. The bird had gnawed each and every baby and the mother plant.

      For real?! That is terrible! Is the parrot okay though?

    Who has a drug addict cat like me that tries to eat spider 🕷 plants? Lol...fun fact: spider plants have a mild PSYCHEDELIC effect on cats. Yep. Drug addicts.😹

      I read in another source that this is not proven and there are no studies that show it causes mild hallucinations for cats.. What we believe might be true, but there is still not enough evidence as I have seen. There are only articles talking about it, yet no appropriate studies.
