Hi Guys, I have been using this recipe & experimenting with it since it 1st appeared on Deidre's Kitchen a couple of years ago. Because I experiment & as a Cajun have entered & won numerous contests (Gumbo, Etouffee) in real world non-keto competitions, have discovered a couple of improvements & will leave "food for thought" tips you may want to try. The bread machine Deidre used was the type which has a pre-heat cycle, this is why her water was warm. The tip is to add 120* to 130* water to the bread machine 1st, add the yeast to the water stir with a spoon then add 1 teaspoon of raw honey. Allow 10 minutes for the yeast to do its magic foaming (if it doesn't foam the yeast is dead). The carbs in the honey are eaten by the yeast. Next tip, on dry ingredients use a food scale in grams. This can be extremely important especially measuring dry ingredients. Flaxseed Meal must be refrigerated after opening or goes rancid, I also use another variation using Lupin Flour instead of Flaxseed Meal in the same amount but increase the yeast to 11grams or basically 1 & 1/2 packets of yeast. Also by adding the yeast to the water then adding honey, you can use instant yeast. The Lupin Flour changes the taste of the bread, basically another option of flavor as 1 is not better than the other just different. Enjoyed your video, always on the lookout for keto recipes since it is the ONLY diet which has ever worked for me but since I reached goal weight I do a 3 weeks on keto then 1 week off keto schedule & remain at goal weight.
I wish I’d checked back here sooner! I’m a half-Cajun transplanted in Texas. This is truly a good recipe, but any tweaks and tips from award-winning cooks get my attention. I’ll certainly try the warmer water and weighing dry ingredients. Baking isn’t my strong suit but this bread is a keto lifesaver for me. Thanks so much!
@@angelaa9948 I also substituted Almond flour instead of Lupin for an experiment. The rise was so spectacular it overflowed the bread machine but was salvageable. The taste was interesting. Best to remember the taste of Keto bread is always bland. I use it to make grilled cheese, sandwiches & toast. Another thing to remember is you will notice stagnate weight loss or reduced weight loss. It is NOT something to eat if your goal is weight reduction but rather to maintain. I make a loaf weekly but have previously reached goal now body sculpting at age 68 - haha - my excuse for being a gym rat.
This is Diedre’s Kitchen yeast bread recipe. It’s the best I’ve found too, and I make a loaf every other day because it goes fast! I’ve made it with xanthan gum twice, then switched to 1 Tbl psyllium husk powder with slightly better results. The difference could be because I don’t use a bread machine
1 cup Warm to hot Water
2 Eggs, slightly beaten (I use organic pasture raised)
⅔ cup Ground Golden Flaxseed meal (grind the Flaxseeds yourself in a spice grinder)
½ cup Oat Fiber
1 ¼ cups Vital Wheat Gluten
2 Tbsp. Softened Butter (grass fed)
4 Tbsp Powdered Sweetener (I use Bocha Sweet)
1 Tsp Pink Himalayan Salt

1 Tsp Raw Organic Honey
1 Tbsp Instant Yeast
OK, for those who want a list of ingredients:
Dry ingredient:
1/2 c oat fiber
2/3 c flax meal
1 1/4 c wheat gluten
4 tb "powder" type sugar
1/2 tsp x-gum
1 tsp (Himalayan) salt
1 TB yeast
Wet ingredient:
1 cup warm water (pan should be warm also)
2 beaten eggs room temp (they used jumbo)
1 tsp honey

How much better this video would be if the ingredients were measured out beforehand.
*True!*
Does anyone have gram measurements for this bread?
That I don’t have sorry
Hi Shane have you ever tried the wheat bran in your low carb bread recipe? I’m making some now and I used a little...hopefully it works out!
I have not tried that please let me know how it works
@@SAS-a-fras it didn’t come out too well so I’m going to do some adjustments and try it again 😅😅

I found it on keto kings site
@@SAS-a-fras But he got it from Deidre. This is Deidre's Kitchen keto bread recipe.
A painful watch, premeasure dry first. Also keto king has an oven version that appears to rise more
That is keto kings Recipe. LOL
@@SAS-a-fras No, it's *not* Keto King's recipe. He stole it from Deidre. Her channel name is Deidre's Kitchen.
very noisy,,,,should pre-measure everything......unless the noise is what they wanted !!!!
