      Cheers Woody. Mate, most people have no idea how hard it is riding through a strong crosswind! The worst was actually riding put of Port Augusta in South Australia. And to make it worse we had massive bloody road trains chasing us down! 😳😬

    Awesome video Ray, Iran seems to be a very big and beautiful country to visit. I never really understood why you needed armed eacort in Pakistan, can you explain that, and what did it cost?

      Its free from the govt to foreigners in border areas bcuz our neighbours like india dont want people to visit pakistan

    • @moodboosterytshorts8842
      @moodboosterytshorts8842 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      its needless and free, they give it to all foreigners who travel to these areas. its a formality you can say but not needed in Islamabad and twin cities

    • @rayurlich
      @rayurlich 9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Thanks Magnus. Yes it was a very interesting country. Just a shame my visit was cut short. The violence is not necessarily aimed at foreign travelers but the cops are wary of them being caught up in it. That said it is possible that Taliban or fundamentalists would target "Godless foreigners" and the police/government just don't want that sort of blow back. There is no charge for the escorts.

    Remember before British took over India Countries such as Pakistan,India & Afghanistan were part of Persian Empire. Everything is from there. Cradle of Civilization. Long live Iran mighty country. USA of that area. 💪💪💪

      These all countries were never part of Persian empire, what are you talking about??, 😮

      @@ShaukatAli-gw5rb Read & learn. Yes, parts of modern-day Pakistan were part of the Persian Empire, also known as the Achaemenid Empire:

      When
      The Persian Empire lasted from about 559-331 BCE.

      What
      The empire stretched from the Balkan Peninsula to the Indus River Valley, and included parts of modern-day Iran, Egypt, Turkey, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.

      How
      The Persians conquered parts of the northern Indian subcontinent, including the regions of modern-day Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, during the reign of Darius I.

      Impact
      The Persians introduced the Aramaic language and script to the region, which influenced the Indian Kharosthi script and the Edicts of Ashoka.

      Pakistan's culture is a mix of influences from many regions, including Persian, Indian, Afghan, Central Asian, South Asian, and Western Asian.

    Ray, still no need for that fuel bladder? 20 L tank still fine between fuel ups? Have you had any real range anxiety?

    • @rayurlich
      @rayurlich 9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Hi Jim. No need for it yet. On the open road the 20L is good for about 350km or maybe even up to 380km. There have been a couple of times in Iran I got a biy worried out in the desert. They just don't have the same amount of petrol stations as SE Asia or even India & Pakistan. Iran is a BIG country and it's relatively sparsely populated in the south I think. I think I will need it in the "Empty Quarter" of Saudi Arabia though.

      You need to know that there are countries that people's health and well being is more important than a bunch of wealthy folk's profit. Yes alcohol, guns, drugs ... are not allowed in Iran for our own benefits.

    I am Iranian myself and a fatbike traveler. 1-You're talking so much nonsense, saying at least nothing.2-Youre content is only focused on you instate being focused on the land you're visiting right now.3-Having some decency on such a journey can bring you wonder! That poor Pakistani guy giving you gas, could get a very little tip of 100 Rupees, which make 0.34 Euro cents! And you tell me that you're gathering money for a charity? Oh boy! Any way, I have stopped watching your contents anymore. Have a nice day.
