This is real Adventure Touring! What a shame your time in Iran got cut short. I’ve always dreamt of going there doing exactly what you have done. I hitchhiked around Syria and Jordan and motorcycled around Turkey for a couple of months back in the 80’s and loved every second of it and this reminds me of that. Thanks again Ray. You’re a legend!

Amazing how they could build with such precision with the most basic of equipment and materials. I don't think we've come very far though either. Great vid Ray. Thank you. Looking forward to Shiraz. As you probably know, in wine terms , Shiraz is an 'Aussiefication' of Syrah.
Amazing country. Those people who built the mosques and the mud buildings in Bam certainly know their stuff, plenty of beautiful mosques in Turkey if you are going there.

The grape comes from Shiraz, but it is illegal to turn it into alcohol. However, people still break the law and make wine indoors.
