    thank you for this! ironically, i was looking for something to accent my surreal botanicals with; and komorebi means light filtered through trees/leaves. it's one of my favourite words. 💚

    I cant with neon colors, sometimes I even got nausea from it lol..
    But more tone down neon color I like it as an accent like fluorescent outfit/cyber punk stuff
    Thank you for the Video 👍

    I regularly attend a Paint + Karaoke night at a local themed art bar. We used to use our phones to provide more even lighting when we were painting. Last week they added black lights and it got me thinking to get some Black-Light reactive watercolors. I just bought the Mozart Komorebi set thanks to this review! If they work well at the bar, the bar will be ordering a dozen more sets!

      @@EveBolt I ordered it! Last night was madness in the best way possible. We had like 5 people all using the same kit. Things got mixed up and splattered everywhere, including on people… who then realized they could paint all over each other as well as their paper.
      The blue got mixed with yellow enough times that it actually got slightly UV reactive while still being a sorta light blue and not green.

    • @ScribletAndBits
      @ScribletAndBits 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      5 people at a time*, total of like 20 people used that one kit. As people walked in I was like “would you like to participate in the paint brawl?” And basically everyone said yes.

    I have the Moe's Art metallic set, and I really like it. I got it (instead of the dozen others on the market) because it had a rose gold as well as distinct copper, bronze, and silver shades, instead of five different shades of gold like so many. Super creamy, re-wet nicely, stay where I put them. I'm thinking of buying the rest.

    I have had the komorebi ones for years and I recently picked up the Rubens ones. Gotta say I love them so much!
    Funny that the blues don't glow on the Rubens ones when a certain manganese hue does lol. I should get a UV light to see how my paintings with them glow! Shame they have to stay confined to my sketchbook and can't be scanned, ah well.

    I'm thinking on getting the Komorebi set but I'm curious about if neon colors can mix well with not neon. I mean of course you can mix them, but somewhere I read that you can get more vibrant colors if use neon on your not neon ones, but I can't find any test here on TH-cam :c
    Thanks for the video,.it was so pleasant to watch

      You're welcome!
      I reviewed another neon set in this video th-cam.com/video/DJZd8pUilC4/w-d-xo.html and I use the neon paints and regular watercolors mixed for the demo. You get lovely vibrant mixes but neons are never lightfast, so they will fade if in the light, even after mixing them with other colors.

    All fluorescent colors are fugitive. They may not completely disappear depending on the other pigment they are mixed with but they will certainly change. The fluorescent additives will completely fade in a short amount of time, so no more glow. Daniel Smith manganese blue hue is also highly fluorescent even though they do not state it on the tube, and while it doesn't fade it loses brightness when exposed to sun.

    • @EveBolt

    • @firecloud6503
      @firecloud6503 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Depents on your scanner. There are scanners which work quite decent with neon colours. I had one once, but it‘s sadly broken. Don’t know why that one was able to scann them though...
      The ones which glow under the black light should be the ones you don‘t see on the scan.
