Thanks! I appreciate your Videos. They help give confidence to people to want to try a job themselves. It’s really helpful and positive. I’ve got a 2006 650i and had bad misfires with cold start. Runs fine when the engine is warm and on initial start up ( first 15 secs). Pretty sure it’s down to these solenoids. I think they my be sticking when cold. I planned to replace them but i will give them a clean and see what happens! They are only about 90$ for 4 so I will not try too hard. Thanks for the share ;)
Good Evening . Thank you for this video, I have a 2006 BMW E90 316I. My Right Rear Door is locked - the lock is broken. I have opened the wallpaper, but from all the places I tried it does NOT open. What should I do? If I open the two door support hinges will I be able to open the door? It does NOT open at all. What should I do to open it? Thank you.
Hello, I have question on my bmw 116i N45 B 16A location vanos solenoid the same like on bmw 3 series?Up vanos it's intake and down vanos it's exhaust? Please, write me answer.
Thanks for the video, I have one little problem one venos came out easy but the other one is stuck so is there anyway I can remove it without breaking the plastick cap or should I use a certain tool please help!!
Do you have a picture of what the holes look like in the block where the solenoids sit? One of mine ( the top one ) has no back and you can see through it where as the lower one you can’t . Not sure if this is correct ? I have an active Vanos intake fault and solenoids seem ok. Thanks , love the videos
Yo buddy I drained my bmw 328i of trans fluid replaced the drain plug started pumping in the new fluid and only got 2 quarts in before it started pouring out the fill plug ad it was angled a little bit away from the drain plug tothe front of the car why
Men..thanks for your video. I have a 2006 330i. My sos is coming on and off. I look at some video and gone help. I used the fiber loop to by pass the satellite. And it's still not working. It coming on when it feel like it.
You can't really clean it right without disassembling. Otherwise it's very simple electro-mechanical device that only fail because of burnt oil particles accumulating in a narrow spot at the piston causing it to seize. Properly disassembling and cleaning it properly takes 10 minutes. The only trick is not to damage the metal shell (in which piston is moving) when trying to get it out.
